The brakes on that Ferrari sound exactly how you’d expect for a rental 😂
I got a feeling those are steel brakes.
Man every time he hit the brakes, I had to cringe 😂
@@billermanthegreat he mentioned somewhere that they are rear brakes from a GTR and front brakes from a Subaru
@@stran-air-jordan
That would make Sense. I own a Nissan GT-R from 2009, i drive it daily and drove it weekly from Germany to France and back for many Years. Has 213000km on it (143k Miles) and the Brakes sound exactly like that, still do, always did. I think they fixed that with the more modern GTRs though
@@stran-air-jordanI think that was for the clapped out 458 he bought
Only dudes in the world to drive a Ferrari, and talk about a street parked dodge nitro
Actual car enthusiasts :P
@samnelson3852
Here in European Countries where Carspotting first took off and is still the most active, this proves they're Car Enthusiasts.
I've seen so many German, English, French, Swiss, Slovenian etc Car Spotters end up owning a Supercar because of their Carspotting Content and then they see some old "Volkswagen Kadett" or "Opel Manta" and freak out while sitting in a 300k Euro Car
Prost & Cheers from Berchtesgaden in the Bavarian Alps
…and no sunglasses in a convertible under the sun. They go full squinting instead🤪
@@chartreux1532 The Kadett is also an Opel
Cheers from the Black Sea coast :)
For me it was when they stopped in a ferrari to look at a lada! So fun! That vid was really cool! This need to be a regular thing! Best Hoovie's vid in a while! Hope you see this man, this segment is gold!
i demand an hour of this
Minus the brakes!
Make it a series
100% agree!
For some Reason Carspotting is less popular in the USA than here in Europe, where to be fair that Trend originated from.
I regularly watch hour long European Carspotting Videos since like 2010 from any Country, you see some of the most rare Stuff in those.
I guess maybe in the USA it's less of a huge Thing because most People in the USA who own really rare and exciting Cars rarely drive them, and if they do, it's always in one big US City and only in the Luxury Shopping Area. While in European Countries you get to see a muddy Gemballa Mirage in like 20 different European Cities because over here even rich Collectors seem to drive their Cars all over the Place and regularly instead of treating them like an Investment
Yes!
Add Jason Cammisa and make it a trio?
“That’ll last the rest of their lives, which probably isn’t long” was absolute gold 😂
Imagine waking up and the first thing you see when you go out is Doug and Hoovie in a California laughing at your car.
I'd be honored...I think!
Could probably put that in the description when you sell the car, "on April 20th 2024, Hoovie and Doug Demuro featured my car in their video at 4:12, and they really admired my 4 lug wheels and rusted rear bumper" and then, "+$4k becasue my car is famous."
Their combined automotive production history knowledge is extensive and impressive
Yes, taking a lada for a BMW... 😅
@@melaniezimmermann-jv7th why would an American born in 1990 have knowledge of the Lada brand at all?
@@eldoradomanchuria "Extensive"...
love the squeaky brakes during the entire video
Rental special lol
no there carbon ceramic brakes
@@mikedelape6609this. I feel like so many people commenting on the brakes don’t understand
It was incredibly annoying to me...
“you ever go on street view in west africa” gotta be one of the best doug quotes 💀
i hate how many people are dislking doug nowadays. this vid is perfect. the connection between hoovie and doug is amazing
Agree, a cool concept!
It’s just the dumbasses that don’t understand the friendship level between Kennan, Filippo, Sean or Nick…
I think a lot of it is simply people not liking the successful
They are disliking all the morons repeating the same stupid “Doug is the type” comments.
@introscapes9418 I'm Jewish & can vouch for that hah.
The squeling on those Ferrari brakes hot damn! Somebody forgot their anti squel shims... Lemme guess.. It was Ferrari?!
More than likely the Ferrari Hoovie rented has carbon brakes on it
it has carbon ceramic brakes, this is completely normal
@@charlie1832 this reminds me of (though not carbon brakes), that C&D had to rush and get euro pads for the stinger for the lightning lap, because the american market pads wasnt able to safely handle a hot lap, because quietness outranks preventing brake fade for their US market cars.
please please please never stop doing these car spotting videos, I love watching them and they're even more fun to watch when you have guests. I was a bit sad when you stopped posting these car spotting videos on the main channel but im so glad similar content is being done here
11:38 That's a Lada VAZ 2106 Special, either 1500 or 1600. Quite a quick and interesting car for it's time. I see them from time to time here in Serbia.
Or it could be a Fiat Polski - a Fiat made in Poland, design licensed from Lada.
how the fuck do you know it's special? what's different, "special" about it?
i lived in russia the first 20 years of my life and i don't know any quirks about ladas aside from them being licensed fiat clones
@@havardspikkeland doubt it, the badge is a lada badge
Unfortunately it's not a Polski Fiat, it's a Lada.
@@ser_igel That's how we called that very model of Lada over here, I think it was the trim level. Ladas with 1500 or 1600 engine and four round headlights was called Lada Special or Lada Specijalka over here. And they used to be very common. Maybe it's a local name, I don't know, but that's how people refer to that specific model of Lada over here.
Hoovies excitement for the Buick Rendezvous was absolutely hilarious 🤣
Good to know I'm not the only one that finds them interesting. IIRC GM hired Tiger Woods to be it's spokesperson.
This should be series. We so called car community appreciate this kind of shit.
This is gold for us
this has to be my favorite youtuber duo of all time
Agreed
6:44 Hilarious that they said ‘the B Class isn’t a car you see everyday’ because in Canada, the regular B200/B250 gas models are EVERYWHERE! The B-Class was so popular between 2005-2019 that Mercedes then sold the A-Class hatch here until ‘23!
In the US, the _only_ B-class sold was the (shown) ultra-limited-production, California-and-a-select-few-other-CARB-states-only electric B250e.
Same in the UK, all 3 generations
@@AnonymousFreakYT It's just plain wrong that the B-250e was California "and-a-select-few-other-CARB-states-only". They were sold everywhere in Europe as well
@@superfly3628 Twelve B Class EVs on Autotrader U.K. today. Just after the pandemic I enquired at a Mercedes dealer about a getting a new B Class PHEV and was told there was a 18 month waiting list.
@@superfly3628 I started my statement with “in the US, the only B-class…”
Doug, I know you love your cross country runs as fast as possible. But for gods sake do a stop at Hoovies farm for the 2nd night. Check out the farm, the new garage, the Hoopties and do a 30min Wichita Car Spotting when driving to a restaurant 😂
Yes! That would be so cool! Can't wait!
Lol didnt expect to see Lada ))))
They were like: "Oooo ladida!"
Finaly another car spotting video Thanks
Must be a mouse under that Ferrari's brake pedal
We are so blessed to live in Southern California, the amazing weather, and the beautiful scenery, and for us car guys, this is where it's at...The west side is the best!
You must not get out much……
Why do the Ferrari brakes sound like a school bus stopping?😂😂
Because it's a rental, which means it's abused by every driver.
Because it’s a piece of crap.
Carbon brakes
its carbon ceramics
Carbon Ceramic brakes that only work correctly or quietly when they are hot..
Big Dawg is an amazing description for Doug 😂
I laughed at that!
Car spotting!! We love these
The world needs more hoovie and Doug
That El Camino had Grand National wheels.
Living in Canada, I love when I visit Arizona. I do the same thing they are doing, driving around and checking out all the 80’s and 90’s cars that are pretty much gone or rusted away.
Id watch this as a series.
Doug is officially the OG in the car tubing world. He can talk shit to any of car tubers straight to their faces and completely get away with it
this is so authentic. you can tell they are really friends and they’d probably do the exact same thing if the camera wasn’t there!
Those Grand National wheels look great on the El Camino
Finally a new car spotting video! It would be so cool if you could make this stuff on a more regular basis!
Doug you are absolutely right about the Nigeria car scene. I'm impressed.
@@MrDuncl Nigeria is the most populous black nation in the world at over 200 million. Having a few thousands commit nefarious activities shouldn't be grounds to castigate the entire country. We(YES, I'm Nigerian) are hardworking people and you'd know if you have been around.
Hoovie's haircut must be named something like "200mph marine style"😂, good video guys!!!
This reminds me of me and my dad. He’s an expert on everything 60’s and 70’s and my specialty is everything 80’s and 90’s - especially rare JDM and domestic oddballs. At 75 years old his daily is ‘13 GTI 6-speed and mine is a zero-option stripper of a ‘98 Maxima GXE 5-speed. His car magazine collection goes all the way back to the late-50’s and he has almost every issue of Car and Driver and Automobile. I literally learned how to read reading Car and Driver and could probably give you the performance specs on every car from the 90’s and early 00’s - from the mundane econoboxes to all of the exotics. Can probably identify the make and model of everything from those years just by the wheels or taillights. Car guys are the best!
Yes, more of these, just great video 😀
Yeah, that one you are wondering is a Lada.
In 1996 there were 134297 Ladas on U.K. roads. Today there are 200. You are far more likely to see a Jaguar E type (over 6000 on the road).
11:36 definitely a LADA. Great find you guys!
A 1600
@@jarletronerud Not necessarily. It's from 2106 family but could also be a 1300 or a 1500. Have to read the badge to be sure.
Good to see car spotting back, loved the San Diego and Georgetown car spotting. Actually just re recommend the Georgetown video a few days ago, and wondered, when will he do car spotting again?
Saw a Mercedes B-Class EV here in Lincoln Nebraska about a year ago and I was completely baffled by it at first. Surprised it made it this far from Cali.
I was literally just thinking about Doug uploading another one of these yesterday thats crazy
I love that this entire video was filmed on your phones 😂
Agreed. I was amazed when I visited L.A. how many cars I hadn't seen in decades were just parked on the street.
This is awesome 👏🏻. Tyler is such a sweetheart and Doug’s friendship is so genuine.
I think Hoovie is gonna end up in California, or maybe Arizona. Close enough. 😁
Yesss!! I miss the two carspotting videos Doug made haha please make more of this!
I’ve asking for this for years! Thank you!
That was very fun to watch... Thanks
Car-spotting is always a blast, when you're somewhere where you can do it. When I moved from rust-belt Ontario to the (almost) snow-free west coast of British Columbia, I was floored by all of the older cars driving around, generations-past models that had all but disappeared out east. And now when I go anywhere else in Canada, I'm slack-jawed at all of the rust-bucket late-models driving around!
More of these please! They’re a ton of fun!
More of this!! Home tours next 🤔
I love all the recent Doug/Hoovie collabs. Please keep it up! The vibe is perfect 😄
We need more of these! 15 mins wasn't long enough!
Hoovie needs to move to Cali because I NEED more of these videos!
I loved this. It reminded me of the down on the street articles on Jalopnik.
We need this every week
i love this! you need to do more of these
Amazing video, like the old ones just even better and more entertaining! More Doug vibes too
Hoovies new farm house would be 10’s of millions in Southern California. Kansas is good for something
The combo i never knew i needed. Love this!
Lotta fun. Thanks guys!
Yes! Finally more car spotting with Doug! Old school viewers will remember his 2 or 3 videos of this.
Absolutely love these goofy little carspotting vids - and absolutely right about that XC90, a lady I work with actually just bought a brand new one. Thanks for the vid guys.
This is so low tech, and yet so entertaining. Thanks, guys.
Hoovie is an absolutely amazing bloke. Huge fan of his
would love to see more of these was very funny to watch :)
Very late but still have to say this is the type of Doug video I could watch all day. Car spotting is the best!!
Love this format! Please do more 🙌
Doug trying to convince his friend to move close to him was so endearing. 😅
It is quite amazing how little traffic Hoovie experiences near his home!
Hoovie and Doug are a dynamic duo
Doug knows everything about sports cars (new and old) and Hoovie has all of the everyday old stuff nailed down
I always love seeing you two together
I love it when Doug and Tyler make videos together
Thanks for sharing!
Doug, California is going to start having vehicle safety inspections starting (supposedly) in September. It will replace the Brake and Lamp tests for recertification of salvaged cars. It will be done electronically on the OIS smog machines. My machine already has the page on its menu. No idea how or what the test entails. Need is for airbags and other safety systems that need to be verified on salvaged cars that gets overlooked on a brake and lamp
This is the best video ever! this should be a series
I really love this Tyler & Doug please we need more of this car spotting please and joy ride too
more of these please!!! i can watch hours of this
I’m really liking these Doug & Tyler videos!
I've gotta see Hoovie with the El Camino phobia guy!!!
Love this Doug and Tyler!
The only dudes riding a convertible on a sunny day with no sunglasses. Going full squinting instead 🤪
This was fun. We need more of it.
This was fantastic.
We need more of this
Doug's casual dismissal of every state other than California is always funny
When I lived in Wichita there used to be cars meetups right beneath/next to the railway that passes through old town. I remember seeing some pretty cool/exotic cars! Don’t know if they still do them…
6:30 The Mercedes B-Class was a very interesting vehicle. My family leased one back in 2015 in Missouri, and while it was mentioned here in the video it was a compliance car for California, I remember it had so many problems while we owned it. It used early Tesla batteries and something about it made it have constant electrical and motor problems (which included the wole drivetrain needing to be replaced). It spent so much time in the dealership repair shop we filed a complaint under the lemon law to pay for it to be repaired.
While it was in the shop, we did however get some very nice S-classes to drive around as loaner vehicles, I won’t forget that. 😂
Hilarious opening, Hoovie!!!
I laughed pretty hard!
Great job and great video!
Weekly! This! These two!
Only discovered this channel. This kind of content is a great idea. More enjoyable even than Doug's main channel. Idea: highlight the car they're talking about with an on-screen graphic and include extra info about it with pictures. Then put links to those cars in the description.
That Baja style truck was the coolest by far
Love this duo!
Great video. I love car spotting when I'm in San Diego. All the EuroVan's somehow still alive...
Doug and Hoovie pull a "Counts Kustoms" and drive around talking cars....but no one gets out to actually buy anything. LOL
I enjoyed living in California for the 2 1/2 years I had to...but I can't afford to live there anymore, which is why I left in 2010.
Great place to visit/vacation....if you can afford THAT. LOL
These were my favorite videos from the COVID era…. Glad to see one again!
love to see you come to the uk and do this
love how hoovie picked out the rub n tug! good job editing that out! lol! Frip Ova!
More car spotting! More more more!
I love this kind of car spotting, driving around LA and San Diego on a nice day looking for hidden gems. You just never know what you will find.
Yesssss finally street videos!!! DO MORE
