Many many years ago when I was in my early 20's I was very fortunate to be in the position to buy a 1982 928s and then a 1984 928s. These were my 2 absolute favorite real cars. Fantastic engineering and styling that to my eyes still looks modern.

Gotta admit I'm a Porsce fan, especially the 911 models. But who doesn't love the 1979 926 "Risky Business" model. I'm also a fan of green (favorite color), so this on was a treat to watch transform. Great custom color of all the leftover colors.

Beautiful Porsche. That green color would look really great on a 57 Ford. Make it two-tone with the black metallic. That would be gorgeous.

My dad's paint selection method comes through again! That looks great.
Back in high school, I used to tag along sometimes when a slightly older guy I knew went car shopping. (We'll call him John, on account of that was his name.) He had... let's call it _aspirational_ taste in cars and no money to speak of, so car shopping with him was always an adventure; and he had to do it a lot, because most of the cars he bought were terminally ill when he found them. Seriously, he was like a hospice nurse for dying sports cars.
Anyway, one day we ran across an old 928 that someone had clearly appreciated very much for a long time. It was too beat for even John to pay money for it, alas, but even so, it was a thrill just to see one in person. This was in northern Maine in the late '80s, so that was the kind of car you only saw on TV. How it came to be there, no man can say.

This came out great right out of the movie with Tom Cruise and Rebecca De Mornay Risky Business. The color is spot on for 1979, and the updates to the features and the wheels only enhance it further. Only suggestion for a correction, the headlights on the Porsche 928 are exposed and could have been painted white/silver as well. Once again, you do amazing work. Can't to see the next one!

Ferry Porsche’s favorite color was Amazon green, and the color you mixed is close. Good job. The 928 is my favorite Porsche. I have a 1/80 scale diecast version from PlayArt and a 1/24 scale plastic Revell kit. The first 928 I ever saw was when I worked at my uncle’s Porsche dealership. It was Porsche cocoa brown with the Pasha upholstery which is a trippy checker pattern. Definitely Porsche from the 70s. Glad you mentioned your light box and your paint jobs. It always looked like orange peel, but this explains it.

Post WWII, late 40's thru early 50's almost all the cars in both Europe and the states were variants of Military colors. Blues, Greens and Reds with many variants thanks to adding White or Black. So even the car companies used to abore waste. Keep up your good ways, sir - and that goes for the rest of you lot that might be reading this - mix it don't nix it. Anyway, as I was saying, I do like your methods - and your technique as well. You turn out quality jobs.

A challenge. Go outside and open your car's door. See how the seats and the inside of the doors match? Yet when anyone paints a Matchbox with open doors they ignore this detail. So I'd like to see someone (you) paint the inside of the doors as they are in real cars. I know you'll do it because you " want it to be perfect."

My first thought was "Oh god, that colour sounds awful" but actually, it's a mushy pea green and goes brilliantly with both the interior and glazing. Lovely effort. I have the original gold/tan plus two of the blue.
I started off with the blue when bought new in the 80s and tried persuading a pal of mine to swap me his tan/gold, but he wanted it back. Took me decades to track one down.
I would have wanted to find an original set of Superfast wheels for this and apply that original tan/gold paint. I would be tempted to do a Porsche 911 in that tan gold in fact.

Run one short 15 second ad at the beginning of each of your videos (I always let those run through to the end on subscription channels to help producers), and as many as you like at the end (when many of us are busy reading and sharing comments). Ads placed in the middle of short presentations are just plain annoying and clicked away as soon as possible. Point: don't think CZcams pays on ads that aren't watched to the end. Cheers!

I have one of these porches in metalic green. It's in far too good condition so doesn;t warrant a restoration. Not sure about the colour choice for this resto but it still looks better than it did and those wheels look good even if the car does sit a bit high.
