Perception is everything, I remember saving up for my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. At that point I really stopped caring what people's opinions were, people will always have their opinions based on how you look. After this I shopped in LYXBAG . If you drive a Bentley and get out of the car with a fake Hermès, no one will question you.
The monogram just SHINES.
I was in Turkey recently and had a empriente multi pouchette with me. They show me a HIDUPZ bag and it looked just like it.

I have both bags & love them so much. I'm currently carrying my DE speedy bandouliere 30. She is my go to bag. I haven't carried my monogram one lately because of the unpredictable weather. I'm glad to have both bags in my collection.

I have the B 30 in DE and love it! It's my most used bag. I also have the classic 25 in mono. I'm trying to decide if i should sell the 25 and get the B 30 in mono. The DE is just so carefree and i don't know if it's worth it for me to get the B 30 in mono. I live in a rainy climate so don't use my bags with vachetta as much as the DE with treated leather. Thanks for the video!
I recently purchased the Papillon in the damier print and I wish I went with the monogram! Because I like the Speedy in the damier print more. I don’t need two bags with the same print…or do I? 😂
I guess right now we don’t really have much choice as we only have the Damier Ebene speedy available now. I did a video about this. I decided to get one as I sold my monogram speedy 30 a few years ago and I’m really missing it now. I think I like the Damier Ebene more now. Nice video 😍🌺

In my humble opinion, nothing like the classic mono print if you're going for the speedy. It's such an iconic bag with history going back to 1965 and the fact that it was first made for Audrey Hepburn (one of my favorite). I just prefer it in the original design for that reason. I own one and love it!

The speedy was first made almost 30 yrs prior in 30 cm size, a spin off size from the keepall for travel and it was made more for everyday use. The 25 size was made for/requested by Audrey Hepburn in the late 50’s.

I’m trying to decide if I should get the mono or the DE. I love both! I live in a very dry climate (I’m in Arizona) but we do get some stormy weather during the summer. I’m wondering if the mono would be okay if I make sure not to take it out in the rain 😬
Monogram does great here. Just note that if you have lotion or hand sanitizer on your hands, it will darken the leather. I personally think bags are meant to be used. So I would go for it!

Why is my leather trim not as shiny as this in the DE ? Mine is dull 🤔
Hi Kim, mine is from 2015. They changed the Damien Ebene leather back in 2018 or 2019 to a matte leather. It’s to avoid cracking and peeling of the leather.

I was planning to buy Speedy b 30 in DE as I like look as well as low maintainence of DE compared to Monogram canvas (I already own classic Speedy 25 in Mono). I live in a tropical country where it rains all 12 months. I have extremely weak shoulders that even “new vachetta straps” (Monogram canvas) hurt my shoulders. Therefore, what about the comfort of straps in Damier Ebene? I‘m told that they never become soft, they are always stiff. Is there any way to soften them or make them more comfortable? Or any alternative method to make straps comfortable?

Hi, I’ve never had issues with the strap being uncomfortable, but it is stiff compared to the vachetta strap. Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a way to make it softer, at least not that I know of. Sorry I wasn’t very helpful.
Once the leather patinas, is it less high maintenance then? X

Hi! I use Brasso cleaner for the brass hardware (only brass). It works great!

I don’t like it wenn the pattina is fark. Can anyone tell me, what can I do that the pattina will not be dark?
You should do nothing to these bags. The natural vachetta will always age. It is the natural process. You will ruin your bag in the long run if you try to do anything to it. If you do not like the natural vachetta aging maybe try to Go for the world tour mono with black leather or the ebene or a different leather.

I agree with Kera, it is not possible to prevent vachetta from darkening. You can prevent water stains by avoiding wet surfaces and rain.

Hi, the width of the strap is 3/4 inch. It’s a pretty good width to wear crossbody.

how is the DE more dressy?? it’s a Checker Board! Monograms, Logos, Insignias, Etc… have Always been dressier and a Sign of Class with Any Designer Label!
How old is your monogram? Would you share your secrets for getting that beautiful beautiful honey patina ???
Hi! Mine is from 2015. I honestly didn’t do anything special to get the beautiful patina. I do, of course, avoid to wear it on rainy days and try to take care of it as much as possible.
