That's what I thought too, I was so confused as to why he connected it to his muffler
I kept saying it too... Wtf it's not a system it's just a muffler!!! He probably would buy a cassette tape Bluetooth adapter for his old head unit and make a video called my new audio system.

Just because it's $40, that's no reason to feel ashamed of it.
It sounds just right to me - not obnoxiously loud but low aggressive growl is perfect for the real world (cops will ticket where I live if sound is too loud).
I want it on my base Alfa Romeo Giulia!
It doesn't sound too bad, my only complaint is that you keep calling it an exhaust "system." See, it's just a muffler, a system would be pretty much everything, or at least form the cat back. Sounds good though, cool video!

Yeah with the right car, any exhaust will sound good. I have a 2003 Infiniti i35 and it has a beautiful sounding engine!
It sounds more aggressive. People just hate this muffler because its cheap.

I had a 1983 Porsche 944 for five years (that was my second Porsche and now I am on to my third, so yes I have a problem) and thought the stock exhaust was OK. However, I agree that something a little more aggressive would be nice.
For $40, the exhaust you bought sounds better than I thought. Plus, like you said, you can always go back to stock later if you want.

adding a good exhaust was the best mod I have done to my 1990 S2 it screams like a Ferrari 355, driving thru a parking garage my S2 sets off car alarms even when I don't rev it and tunnels OMG thats deafening in a gud way, 300k miles on it and I still drive it every weekend...so D always have a decent exhaust on what ever you own in the future...keep up the great work on ur channel

I had the same one installed about a year ago I got the smallest one I could get give it about a month or two it'll break in obviously you already have considering the date that this video was made.
But it sounds really good at least mine does it's got a nice deep growl to it when you open up the throttle it turns heads and it doesn't sound like rice or rocks in a blender.
The cold air intake and aftermarket parts under the hood of course help.
How is it holding up now
@@neilpatil6318 it took a few months to finally break in but it's fine I backed up into a curb and I think I loosened it so it sounds like I have a messed up flex pipe but I need it to replace my exhaust anyway from front to back because it's starting to rust.
But to answer your question so far it's hanging in there.
I had one on my 87 924s. They sound even better when the batting blows out of them at 7k during an upshift. Lmao.
Car community refers to any straight pipe with huge exhaust as fart can when it sounds like it. I’ve actually been fine with buying parts of Amazon nothing too cheap but quality wise i said lets try either way its a budget built… an exhaust wont mess up a car it’ll just make it louder but ill definitely be careful when it comes down to brakes, coil overs and tires that could have a huge impact in your vehicle. Not everyone has the money but definitely invest in good brands when it comes down to traction handling and braking.
A Cherry Bomb muffler is a good sounding muffler on a 924S, 944, not rice muffler like this one. Idk which model it was on my 924S-SE when I restored and flipped it, but it was a reg looking muffler with a chrome tip so it looked like the factory one but sounded European.

I just put this on my civic for shits and giggles but it actually ended up sounding alright, no drone and doesn’t really make a difference, just sounds a little more aggressive/less like a wet fart on coldstarts. Mine was evil engery aswell but it seems to be smaller then that one... maybe I’m wrong but it looks the same!

This actually didn't sound bad at all. I can't imagine how someone could opt for a 15 dollar crop duster sound vs this. What is it that makes these fart can mufflers sound so bad? Is it to do with how thin the metal is or is it very low grade steel?
If you want a deeper tone. Install a resonator.

@@gabrielmelero488 Yea, Vibrant Ultra Quiet works best. Really makes the tone deeper and almost no rasp while still being loud. The key with 3,4, and 6 cylinder engines is to find the right amount of loudness to tone quality. Which isn't hard to do, just have to have a full system in order to do it.
@@MetalRocker94 you can add a true resonator to any system post cat (this can has one already)...there's some systems that come with a bolt-on exhaust cap that completely muffles any exhaust note. hard to believe it works, but i have an "oversized" can on a crx that's loud and a little raspy, and goes quieter than stock with the cap bolted in place.
I paid $32 each for 2 mufflers and sounds better than a junk magnaflow and Flowmaster. I took them off because they made my car sound like it was about to blow up. I got these cheap mufflers off k2 motorsports and now everyone runs them and now they don't even sell them anymore. They're a vortex style. They have a deep sound and don't sound like the cars about to grenade like the name brand did.

O'Reilly has exhaust clamps and an adapter you can put it on for about 11$ plus 10 min of your time

@@dakwestcott8026 i'm guessing carbon buildup negating / clogging part of the resonated part of the exhaust can. pure guess...i've ran resonated tips for a decade with no sound loss or difference on many imports.
@0:48 U chose the burnt tip design. There is s burnt end, blue or silver.... so u it has a burnt it because that's kidna what you ordered💀

Had more wind noise than muffler, but from what I heard does not sound bad, and it's a muffler, not exhaust system.
