Great sound. Have been researching all options like you. I’m particular on exhaust but love to play around with my own stuff too. Thanks for video. Sound quality and comparison was great.
Appreciate the feedback! Hopefully it helps in your search!
Sounds great! N/A with Dansk is a sweet setup!
It sure is!
Hey man, that sounded great! I think I'm going to put that on my '84 944 also
Nice! Do it!
Sounds awesome. Im thinking of installing one on my 85.5. But I kinda like the stock exhaust tip a bit better? Maybe theres a way of combining the two?
There’s no way of combining the two without cutting anything up. That being said, they both come with chrome tips so I don’t think it’s that noticeable! But it’s a good way to make yours unique!
Sounds good! And a good price. 👍
I couldn’t agree more!
Hey Jeff I saw you did a video on truck exhaust tips. I want to get one but I am not sure which tips would make my truck loud and have that nice rumble to it. Any ideas of some exhaust tips That would work thanks?
So nothing will work as well as an exhaust change. But you can make the truck sound slightly deeper by opening up the size of the exhaust tips. So measure your current exhaust and run a tip that increases the diameter. So you run a 3in pipe to 5inch tip.
Sounds really good. How much was the exhaust?
Hello, you need the dansk midpipe muffler.because te exhaust just dont fit perfect to the standaard midpipe.i have the same problem😅
were you able to use the factory mounts for this? FCPEuro has a bracket for a dansk exhaust, but it doesnt say where it goes or what is for. Just trying to figure out what i need to order
Yeah so the Dansk exhaust bolts right up after the cats and the rear hangar is in the right spot. There is a center mount on the exhaust that does not match up quite right which I closely wire tired to the exhaust to hold in place, looking at the website it looks like it may fix that problem.
When you did your research, did you look at the Ansa PR1447 exhausts? What did you think about them? Guess they’re cheaper than Dansks
Did you need to install the catalytic converter pipe seal or not?
I did not! There wasn’t one on the factory exhaust so I did not use one, there are no signs of an exhaust leak!
I have an 86 944, could you share where you bought the Dansk? Maybe a link? I want to be sure to get the exact same thing!

@@jalopy_jeff Thanks! This is what I want for my birthday! Wife is worried it’ll ruin our beautiful 1986 944 (28k miles) but I think it will really add some character. These 80s German cars all sounded like large sewing machines lol. My 1983 323i had *no* exhaust note despite having those cool dual exhausts.
What do you think of the new sound?
Sounds awesome 👏 I’ve got the rear Dansk exhaust fitted to my S2. Having my CAT removed and a straight pipe put in next month. Hoping it will make it sound more sporty!
@@ciaranfield2178 I am interested to know how that’s gonna sound!
I will let you know!
ITS FANTASTIC!

Was there a big weight difference between the two?
Way lighter than the stock exhaust!
Great exhaust. Where did you buy it?
I cant remember the site, but it was available from a few places last I checked
I found it on eBay :)
We’re did you buy yours at?
CARiD.com is where I bought it at. Came to just under $400 with shipping.
Have a link?
I have a 81 924 2L with a dansk exhaust and I'm very disappointed with the sound to be honest
Well it is a different engine! I find with 4 cylinders it can be tough to find the right exhaust!
