I mash the sardines a little bit, add lime juice, diced tomato, diced cucumber, diced onion, diced jalapeño peppers, chopped up cilantro, avocado, salt and pepper! I eat it with pork rinds (in replacement of corn tostadas) and tapatillo salsa!!! Seriously so delicious đ

You guys make Keto so approachable and I love it. I'm still in my first week and your channel is the best resource I've found. You actually say what to specifically buy, where to buy it, and how to get it at an affordable price. That being said, I live in the Midwest and we barely have any of these things in our stores.
I grew up eating sardines with a tomato and cucumber salad dressed with olive oil and red wine vinegar, salt/pepper. Delicious!

Mistake skipping the Cosco vegies. I get the organic spring mix tub so much cheaper than Safeway, and I'll buy one every week. The giant bag of spinach is also so much cheaper, even if half of it goes to waste. With a family of 4, we do go through bulk vegies fairly quickly.

Today I found organic portobello mushrooms and organic fresh cauliflower. I get the spring mix, too. And everybody's probably already seen the organic mixed frozen vegetables which are a super good deal.
If it's starting to look wilted, place in freezer bag, freeze it. Use for smoothies or just steam it and add KG Butter đ

Truvia sweetener. Bacon i get the coleman natural bacon ( no nitrates) and sometimes they have the all beef hotdogs (my kids love those) Horizon organic heavy whipping cream.
Hot dogs not kito but you said for kids I get it. Hard make kids to eat the kito food. If you get a meat grinder with sausage tube that can make kito dogs. No sugar or salts added. I use pink salt spice and stevia. High fat so kids love them. It a bit cost to get set up. But I can make kito dogs now for .25 a Wiener and are jumbo size
Recipe:
I get frozen Normandy veggies, wild planet sardines, and Kirkland brand canned pink salmon.
8 cups frozen veggies. steam them or nuke them until moderately cooked.
60 g butter, salted
blend veggies and butter with a bit of water until a thick foam. Salt and pepper to taste.
Fold one can sardines and one can of salmon (both with juices and olive oil) into the veggies.
Best veggie chowder on the planet. Tastes a bit like split pea soup as well.
Filling as heck and cheap! 3-4 servings

OMG! You guys have not tried the Chosen Foods Lemon Garlic marinade/dressing? It's out of this world delicious! If you eat alot of salad, definitely try it. It's like 14 bucks a bottle off of amazon. Two bottles for eight bucks @ Costco...I have 7 bottles in the pantry lol!
Another item I stock up on from Costco is the Maple Farms uncured thick cut BACON! A 3lb(2x1.5lb) package is like 13 bucks and tastes amazing, cooked on an cookie sheet in the oven until crispy!

Organic free-range eggs. Two dozen I think for 6.99-7.50ish. (Basically half price. The eggs are large.
Mine sells 60 eggs for like 8 bucks, iirc. Compared to 3-4 dollars per dozen in my local grocery.
You can make mayo..simple. 1 room temp egg, I cup light Olive oil, tsp lemon juice. Blend with a stick blender, add a pinch of salt. Place in a mason jar..no crap.

Unfortunately different costcos carry different items, because there are 3 costcos in my town and only one had macadamia nuts, but they are salted with pink salt and they are a must have. Applewood smoked bacon is one of my top there. Philadelphia cream cheese. 5 dozen pack of eggs. Chorizo. Oh, and I got a big ass bottle of magnesium citrate there too.
IMD918 Macadamia nuts are to me as sardines are to Matt. When the bag is a half full I dumpin pecans for the salt and to stretch out the macs.

I am a big fan of Montons light salt. It has 5 different electrolytes in it which matches Whole Foods Electrolyte water. I use it for most of my salt uses.
But, also Real Salt (from Utah mines, not Himalaya mines), and Kosher salt that goes crunch.

I have seen some people buy macademia nuts at costco and I am still waiting for my costco to catch up. Also the costco brand paper towels are as good as bounty for cheaper
Both Costcos near me were out of them recently and the cashier said they go like wildfire. They can't keep them in stock, which, at $18.99 per 1.5 lb bag, surprised me.

Love those Polska kielbasa sausages with saurkraut and mustard....that coconut oil has lasted me like forever... I get their Kirkland frozen beef patties which works out to be $2.99/pound. Great deal on almond flour....yes soy bean oil is garbage--dirties and cheapest oil...Whisps are great! Sardines--omg! First time I tried was this brand and surprisingly they were awesome. Try to have one per day right out of the can. Going to have to try Zipfiz! As always, thanks for what you guys do! AND--come to Sacramento and shop so I can run into you!! HA HA! :)

I havenât done keto since May 2018 and gained 70+ pounds back. Darn it, I was doing so good. I usually bought my stuff at Sams Club but now that my son works at Costco I can go there and check it out one of these days.

Make your own mayo! Egg and oil, salt and pepper to taste. Blend. Super easy and cheap!

I've never had Duke's :( but I am sure you can find a vinegar mayo recipe online. I can't imagine it is a LOT of vinegar, that stuff is strong for sure!
Fa2z SA donât use raw eggs. Look up how to âcoddleâ (pasteurize) the eggs so they are safe. Itâs easy to do on a stove, and even easier if you have a sous vide cooker.
Ghee - use your Kerrygold butter to make your own Ghee: it's a bit of work (see below) but you know exactly what you're getting in your ghee. Shelf stable for months (doesn't need to be refrigerated, but you can). I make batches of 3-5 pounds and it's become my primary cooking medium and is great in bulletproof coffee. Ghee process - in a good sized pot melt your butter on medium heat. Once it boils start watching - the water is boiling off and the milk solids will start to cook in the now much hotter liquid. I skim the top and use smell and color (it starts to turn golden and you start getting a caramel smell), but make sure you're using medium heat or lower or you'll burn the milk solids and ruin your ghee. If it's boiling too crazy, you're too hot... Fun video - thanks as always!

What does one do with hemp hearts?
JaclynMarie52 Eat them like oatmeal. They have a video on the different variety you can do. Think it's called Overnight Oats 6 ways. Personally, I out 2-3 tablespoons of it in a bowl, add a tablespoon of chia seeds, a tablespoon of any nut, and a couple berries. Add a couple tablespoons of the milk of your choice (I use almond milk) and a sweetener (I use a packet of stevia) I then nuke for 30 seconds. It's filling and delish!

Kerry Gold salted and unsalted at Walmart for $2.88 here in SoCal. Target is a bit more, about $3.29 if I remember correctly.

It takes less than 1/2 hour to make a bunch of ghee and it's MUCH cheaper. Same for mayo, plus it doesn't contain any unwanted stuff. Then use your home-made mayo for all your other salad dressings. I need to check out Costco!

Since I fry and bake and everything with ghee, I use it up quick. The only loss from the butter is the water content and milk solids and what's absorbed by the cheese cloth. The temp stays near 212F until all the water boils out. A simple meat thermometer lets you know when all the water is out and the temp starts climbing. Then it's ready to bottle. My thermometer has an alarm I set for 136F. Ghee will last at room temp for years, no need to refrigerate. Even salted butter makes unsalted ghee, so the salt must stay with the milk solids. FYI - 100-year-old Ghee is highly valued in India and fetches a very high price.
Mayo can be made very easily with a wide variety of oils and is often made with an emersion blender.
You guys like to experiment, have fun!

That's a tremendous amount of GMO-laden products, CAFO meats, nitrates...which rather defeats the purpose of KETO. I'm going to Costco right now and I can assure you everything I'll get there is going to be organic, grass-fed and non-GMO. Maybe it's out here and the market, purchasing is so on point. I'm not sure, but my COSTCO has mostly organic things. Grass fed and Paleo products galore
