Love the part where your wife says she wants it white ‘you’re painting it then…’ next shot it’s you painting it… probably the most relatable thing I’ve ever seen!!😂😂👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos czcams.com/users/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
Mistake, should have left the natural stone as it was. Would have looked great.
Especially when you consider the beige windows.
And if you want to change the color use a masonry acid stain. Painting on Natural Stone is retarded
And it actually looks better black than white because stone is generally darker so they should have just left it painted black at that point
I dunno white rock growing on me. Beige windows less than ideal.
That is so ture
Looks great but i Have to agree the natural stone looked so much better im not a fan of painted stone but its obviously each to there own and everyone has different taste.
Yeah, I wouldn't buy a house with painted stone...
100% agreed. Natural dark gray stack stone would phenomenal with this.
The original color looks better. They basically made a checker board house. White stones?? looks hella weird
I agree and I also hate the White House black trim and black windows trend. They are popping up all over Chicago suburbs and look very tacky. Seems like the most basic and safest option for a home color but i expect the trend to look very bad in a few years maybe a decade.
Yeah, it looks old. I think because that's what every old house, especially with z-brick, does when they sell. They put a cheap coat of paint on and call it "updated"
FYI we designed the siphon pickup of the sprayer to fit in your paint bucket through the spout hole on top so you don’t have to remove the lid off your bucket. We recommend you to do it in that matter to help reduce the volume air drying in the bucket and to help avoid contaminates from entering the paint. Awesome video, glad the sprayer worked well for you!
Def should’ve left the stone natural. Looks great. Love the door 🚪
The natural stone was beautiful and should have stayed 😩 Painted stone is never the aesthetic and comes off tacky in my opinion. Maybe grey would have been another option for the stone. The house looks amazing tho! Great job!
My house is cream vinyl and crappy red brick. It’s a horrible combination but I don’t want to paint the brick either
After it was painted, it was done.. A grey with brown or blue/green tones would have looked more natural on the stone texture.
"I'm not painting this, you're painting this", then proceeds to paint. Just like every husband! lol
You notice how she was in the house the whole time, in the A/C, probably watching one of those “Real wives of (fill in the blank)” Then she just sachets out and proclaims “Na- don’t like it - try again!”
That’s the power of pussy right there!
Yep. I’m with you on this. You definitely shouldn’t have painted the stone and the combo of the white black and brown was gonna look very nice.
Yeah I reckon should have painted the layer above the stone black then the rest not painted
I actually like how the black shows through a little on the stone. Adds dimension. It looks great!
The black trims and light color on the house looks amazing. Not sure how i feel about the painted stones though.
You 100% know how you feel about it. It looks baaaad
The paint job looks great!
Loved the natural stones before it was painted. I feel like it would have worked with the beige on the windows and new paint.
Should have washed it and maybe polishe fit up
Having just bought a house last year and doing all sorts of projects to to fix up the house, things that I have no idea how to do, I really enjoy this channel. And projects always take longer than expected, especially if you haven’t done it before or a lot. Keep up the great content. You’re welcome to come to my house and help any time!
Love the speed of the video. Keeps it fresh and not boring to watch. Really good tips and application. Well done you two!
looks so good, crazy how much paint can just change and refresh the way something looks
Alex, you killed it!!! Your workmanship is bar none. Congrats and enjoy all the looks from neighbors driving by.
Hey brother. I've been building houses and remodeling for 23 years. I run from painting. Your house looks great.
I loved how you were vulnerable and included the every day frustrations that a lot of people are scared to share on social media platforms.
I think the black stone looked better, but either way, it looks awesome. Great work as always!
Good on you and your family for putting together this content, it truly shows that anyone can get good results if they care enough to get them.
The best thing I would say I get from your videos is, motivation, and understanding that it's okay to fail and make mistakes, because that's how we learn and become better.
If everyone could just think back about the time when they didn't know what they knew now, how would you want someone to respond and give advice to you.
Great job, and keep it up :)
Looks great but black windows will definitely completely the look.
Personally I would have left the stone and did a greige on the trim to bring out the stone.
Love the way you enjoyed the work, chuckles in between. And love the way you pissed off but you guys are lovely couple , can see the strong love , happy family. Stay blessed. 🎉
Great job on painting. I did our house a few years ago and man, it never seemed to end! With the stone- good job listening to your wife and then coming back together on that. Base coat of grey on the stone and pick out a few other neutral colors and some sponge painting maybe?
Also loved seeing how your family is growing and playing together!
I love it! And I love the stone painted. Perfect.
Every man in a relationship knows that exact feeling you had when she didn’t like the color!! I felt your pain!!
Way to apologies and love up on each other.
Love the color
Looks good! I like the painted stone! Has a very modern feel. 👏👏👏
I’ve gotta say I love the white stone! Keeps the clean, white look of the walls but adds some texture to it. Natural stone would’ve worked as well, but the white is definitely my favorite
I actually love the stone color. Great choice! We actually used the same black for our trim and white for the house. We painted out door parakeet green from sherwin Williams. You both did amazing!
Beautiful job, the white looks good too
Amazing, thank you for all the tips!
I like the kept natural stone color that you see in the b roll for the backyard. You were right once again!
Super nice. Great job as always.
love how to call out the haters! and the humor is great. house looks great.
I completely loved all the husband/wife dynamics and the camaraderie you both enjoy. I enjoyed how you both just kept it real and were yoiurselves.
Wow looks great, glad you did the white on the tones. It looks really nice.
You did the best job in my opinion and I love what you did around the the windows!!!!
You and your wife did a great job. Looks great! 👍
That intro was the most genuine husband and wife interaction given this situation. Great video :)
looks nice. I like the contrast of the windows with the black trim
Way to go with your Control Pro 170 and FLEXiO 3500! You did a great job with your Wagner paint sprayers and glad the house came out looking great.
It's beautiful. Good call on the white paint on the bricks.
Awww the black was perfect!
The house looks great. Thanks for sharing.
Looks great!
Repainting the stone white was a good call and it turned out looking very nice!
it looks so good what a life dude, god bless
It looks amazing! I love it!
Just my two cents but I actually like how the black kind of accents the lines in the stones now after painting over it with the white. Looks amazing man!
I don’t always leave a comment, but I always watch the videos. I really enjoyed this one just a bit more. Great job!
Excellent video m’man. Black on white is on point, white stone was definitely the move, and the green is just the right amount of color “pop”. I also love the very HGTV reveal and outro vibes 👌🏾💯
Solid project. Great ending.
Love the door colour ❤️😉🇨🇦👍🏼 I personally liked the old colour but you did a awesome job👍🏼❤️🇨🇦😉
This house looks amazing !!!
the natural stone color would have helped balance the beige windows I think. Great Job!! John Malecki will be proud!
I hate John Malecki
@@MrBuildit 😂😂😂 will he ever not be a nemesis for you?
One of the best episodes yet! So, frik'n funny!
Looks amazing!! ....but definitely should have left the national stone would of looked even better lol
I think the beige windows look good against the white and black. Sometimes white and black can look way too plain. But the green door and the contrasting "off-white" beige color of the windows gives it just enough contrast to look really good. I would leave them as-is. Really good video here. This is the type of content we love to see from you Alex. Keep it up.
Definitely agree with non painted brick. Love the color scheme and all the work put in. The look of the natural brick though. Great work brother.
Looks great man!
Work paid off, looks absolutely amazing
Thank you
‘Can I finish my blackberries’ LOL that made my day 🤣🤣
I love it! I so want to paint my house white with black trim so I was excited about that choice.
The end result turned out fantastic
Awwwww “I love you too much!” MY HEART!!!!
Really don't like the painted stone but it's not my house 😂 love your channel
Loved the stone trim in the charcoal/black or the natural color
Great video great woodworking great show
II like the white glad you changed it looks great!
The brick or stone turned out perfect ! Looks planned with black grout! Lovely a happy error!
Great job!! I can't believe that's the baby. Wow she is growing fast.
The black stone looked amazing
Love the door color too.
Looks super sharp
Man that house is a work of art. Congrats - some motivation for my first house
It looks modern and refreshed. Your wife is very lucky indeed.
I agree the beige windows make a huge difference and detract from the black trim. I also agree that the stone needed to be left as it was.
You're a beast man love the content crazy how much a little paint makes a difference
LMAO..when she said “truth or lie”…”iii don’t hate it”… your face was classic! You should have seen that coming. I like it! Came out nice!
Nice! DUDE GOOD JOB
Wow! No one can ever say you don’t work hard - a huge job!
Amazing great job brotha!
Preferred the natural stone as well but the contrast it has now still looks great, nice work.
You are Like my spirit animal 😆 I like all the work you do, like building 101 👍🏽
We had our house painted within the last couple of weeks and was only mildly concerned painting the trim white as we also have tan window frames. It was too noticeable after the fact and that really bothered me, so I am painting the frames to match the trim which improves the look overall by a wide margin.
My wife is the same :), I thought I take on big projects alone but this awesome! Nice work
You are a saint. Great job !!!
17:51 Peak needs just a little touchup. Everything else is gorgeous guys! Awesome Work!
It looks great! I can’t wait to do mine!!! The only thing I would have done differently is I would have painted the windows black as well other then that I love it!! We also have stone but I’m leaving ours natural lol just repainted our door a red color
Back yard looks especially good!
Venturi principle says the former RT 🤣. Love it! House looks great!
As a painter myself your prep work was A1
Looks great Alex! At the end of the day who cares what other people think. If you and your wife like it that's all that matters. I do have to say I'm looking forward to your next video of turning the windows black lol. Happy wife is a happy life😉
@17:10 - Warmed my heart and made my day
Love the siding colour and the windows but I prefer the stone in its natural state.
I just finished painting my house and used the sherwin-williams duration and it works great. I have pressure washed my house (about 30 days after painting) and it held up beautifully. Also if you would have gotten a pro account the paint would have been little cheaper. At least it was for me in the houston texas area.
Love the way it turned out but I actually liked the black stone!!!
It looks so nice
Looks great!!!!
Love the white on the brick. Makes the house look bigger, rather than breaking it up. Can’t wait for the window conversion video. That’s on my honey do.
I love the color it looks great
