How much was the Canik out the door
I have a H&K VP9SK never ever have failed on me it’s a high quality gun well built you can buy a HK with you eyes closed you buying high quality gun for you money
Grumman 777 HK for the win!! 🙌
5 minutes and 25 seconds before hearing one REAL Alternate event to the G19 that is not how you do an intro
@ Hegshot87; Not a fan of Glock or the fan club either; as so many want to be included in that "BUNCH" "With out merit"
5:25 is when the video actually starts
The M&P M 2.0 is my absolute favorite and my everyday carry.
Mine as well
Jason Kovacs cool. I’m S&W fanboy. Been looking to get an M&P
I like the original M&P 1st gen. I’m planning on porting the barrel and slide
I sold my glock gen 4 after I bought the 2.0 compact. Never a fail or jam after thousands of rounds. Didnt matter what kind of ammo. Used to be a glock guy but done with them.
I shot the gen 5 glock19 the walther ppq, sig p320, and glock 43 but I bought the m2.0 4 inch 9mm and imp it's the best 9 on the market. I haven't shot the h&k vp9 I hear it's a great gun but I did want the cz until I seen and held the 2.0.
Nice alternative collection of pistols. I own Glocks but I also own other brands as well and just love guns in general.
Reloading from the hot pot me to brother!
@@joeyowens8958 me also Joey
😁
I bought Ruger security 9 for only $275. Great gun for money and very smooth
Loved mine so much just bought a second one for the wife. 2 great guns for less then a new Glock 19.
Me 2
Lord Commander Manny getting one soon.
Just bought one. Heard it was great. Wanted a gun so I got it.
I carry a glock 19 ,m&p 2.0 or a ruger ec9 in the summer. I keep a Security 9 in my night stand because it is so smooth you can maintain accuracy at high fire rate and my light fits the rail perfect. The EC9 is an amazing little 9. It disappears when you carry it. The security 9 is what I normally recommend to people as a first handgun. The value is unreal.
Easy, Walther PPQ.
I have one on layaway at my favorite gun store
golden gun
I really like the PPQ. I still prefer the P99 though.
@@thenextsixminutes1252 have both also it would be hard to choose one over another but l can say l like my p99c just as much as my ppq navy both are 9mm and also believe the trigger on the p99c is just as good as the ppq l like the p99c so much l have two of them both guns are great love all the trigger options with the anti stress trigger both guns are the best of the best in striker fired guns also love my sig p365 for deep concealment
Uganda Knuckles It’s 9mm, hold the gun right and there won’t be much recoil
Your info is not quite right....H&K made the first stricker fired pistol before glock was even around.....
Tom Easley exactly! Hk was the first to develop a polymer frame pistol.
What is a striCker. (Striker)
I think Jennings made the 1st striker fired guns, and look how that went! 😎👍
Yep and I love my p 30 sk
You’re incorrect. The company that developed the takarov TT-33 is the worlds first striker fired pistol
When you were describing glock problems , i imagined the fan boys covering their ears yellin lalalalalalalalala
Kevin n they are yelling they make many parts available. Any the aftermarket fans keep selling parts n telling you thru the media they don’t break down n they sell parts to ‘upgrade’ 🙏
The Glock fanboys are in a fetal position in a corner crying with snot oozing out of their noses.
Glock doesn’t have recalls, they have “updates”. Glock perfection ya know...
@@damiion666 right on
Screaming "It's the ammo's fault" as they run to their safe space.
I’ve had my P320 since it came out, got the recall done, and have 500+ rnds through it with no malfunctions or issues. My P10c is on its way to me, and I can’t wait to get it! Great list Mr & Mrs’s Heg, your videos are a pleasure to watch! Keep up the great content = )
I love the Smith & Wesson M&P platform.
I didn’t have any issues with my P320 either but I sent mine in for the upgrade. You really should consider sending yours in.... it’s worth it!!!!!
Michael Gaffney i think its funny that sig called it a voluntary upgrade. The gun is absolutely not drop safe, yet they seem to believe making the gun drop safe is an upgrade?? Thus why i bought the vp9sk.
To have a company back their product is to me everything in this day n age when lots of corporations use the consumer as guinea pigs but to take it back to correct it n sending it back to you for free with a 30% discount coupon unheard of. Kudos Sig Sauer well done. You have my business
Went in to buy a Glock 23, walked out with a Sig 320.
Sig or h/k for me
Wise choice.
Sig all the way! Love my P365!
I prefer the Springfield XD, i have never like the feel of a Glock
Xd9 for me too. Added PPQ to the collection. Didn't bother with glocks.
@Matthew Wiley me too i'm planning to get the Glock 23 40 cal.
HTTKB 1st Gen XDs was recalled.
XD 9 mod 2 here and absolutely love it. Going on 6000 rounds not a single failure.
XD and HK for me
I chose a Sig P365 over the glock 43 because it’s smaller but has a larger capacity
I just put a plus 2 TTI magazine for my glock 43. I like it a little bit better than Sig. Of course I did have to change the sights on the 43. Other than that I think those two are very comfortable tools.
G43.X. IT IS BETTER 🔫OK👌
@@johnnyroastbeef3048 No gun is "better than a Sig". Some as good, none better!
I had a glock 21 for one day, can't stand the way it fit my hand. Good news is we ALL have awesome choices to pick from. Remember vote out anyone that's not for the 2nd ammendment
Ap A I just traded my G21 in. Didn’t care for it.
Yard Envy one day!!!
Wow you must have shot 25 rounds.
To judge a gun after one day says tons about your skill set
Matthew Wiley
I actually traded a Ruger p95 for it that I paid 200 bucks for, Then traded that Glock 21 for a Springfield 1911 compact 45.
Small hands You’re a funny fucker
I just had a 21 I loved it it felt like a gun a man should have
You should try a Bersa, very good bang for the buck
Don't forget lifetime warranty on Smith and Wesson M&P
Wow, they’re copying Hi-Point!
I like the Taurus G2C. It, the G2S and the G3/G3C have put Taurus back on the map. You get arguably the same reliability as a Glock, better factory grip and look for literally half the price
I have a pt111g2 and this is my second taurus good guns
For sure. Glock is overrayed & over priced for what you get. Glocks motto should be " Mediocrity @ its finest". Anyome who isnt on the glock kool-aid will agree that glock is by far not the best gun
Glock fans shouldn't feel bad. I'm an XD fan and everyone hates on us. But my XD has proven to be 100% for about 10 years and thousands of rounds. Not one failure of any type. But according to the internet an XD won't fire a complete magazine without blowing up and killing everyone within 50 feet.
Baz on Blades idk about that. Weren’t they firing on their own a few years ago causing a recall
Baz on Blades, only the fan boys. 😂 Not the fans. BTW I carry a G26 everyday. Nothing wrong with the XD. 👍
Chupa_mis_bollas 85, the XDs had a slight issue when it was first introduced. But it took such a crazy string of steps to replicate the issue. My XD is an original 5" tactical. The only issues they ever had was dry fire breaking the striker retainer roll pin. Which was easily and cheaply fixed with a better grade replacement roll pin.
XD is a super solid gun
Matthew Martinez, I like mine. Like I said, nearly 10 years and no failure of any type. It's huge, heavy and ugly but 14 rounds of .45 out of a 5" barrel is a beautiful thing. I put a set of Trigicon HD's and a light on it and it's a perfect home defence pistol.
Glocks are overpriced especially when you consider the cost of new sights and potentially a trigger job to get you even with what the other guys have at the get go. In addition the grips are a bad fit for medium to small hands.
My advice ?..go with the hk or the cz and you’ll like it better from the get go. The hk especially since the price reduction is an excellent value.
johnnybeanz1 I want the HK VP9 but it’s more expensive than the glock😫
EXACTLY !!
What I don't like abt the German pistols is they control the parts and when they faze pistol models out they stop making the parts for they..your stuck with a high dollar bummer.
@Donnie C then why even talk about it?
I took your advice and went with the CZ. It really is superior to the G19 (which I also own).
I choose Sig and Springfield 's mod 2 over glock always!
FNH FNS series of Pistols are amazing
Terrible triggers !!!
Steve Reckary my fns 9c has a great trigger
Appreciate this video luv your take on things and it’s helping me decide on what my first gun is going be
I have a xdm 9mm 5.25. My next will be the mod 2 in 9mm with 3" barrell for edc.
I think most will acknowledge that Glocks are very reliable and have great aftermarket support. However, they are more expensive, have poor sights, average triggers and average ergonomics at best. Many Glock owners upgrade sights and triggers. I would rather not pay a premium and still have to upgrade my gun. The guns put on the table are all good choices. I would also include the PPQ and XD Mod2. I have never had a failure with either and they shoot well. Apologies to the Glock fans.
J Pyron EXACTLY!!! Glock fan boys are just too biased to understand. Why spend extra money in sights and triggers when you can get better features out of the box.
@ J Pyron; just found this video and will just now.. have to respond to your comment from 3 years ago..but don't appologize to Glock fans...
They can, and want be recognized as those that can, an are proud to pay for a EDC. "FIRE ARM" that is typically not happy w/the Product as is! RIGHT? 😛
@@710p5 Agreed!
As an LEO I carried many different Glocks on/off futy over the years (1989-2004). I absolutely love 1911 Commanders, and occasionally CCW one, but being almost 60 years old, I now CCW an HK VP9sk.
Can you help me decide between the Xdm 4inch and Glock 4inch , I will use for carry and home defense, I want a reliable gun.
@@gutadin5 glock
Great review, Hegshot... I appreciate a reviewer that appreciates all firearms & not dead set on a specific manufacturer like Glock, or S&W, or Sig, or Springfield (Which I own a handgun from each stated).
Definitely needed to include the PPQ, FNS, & APX. Great time for striker fire gun lovers. Many amazing options.
Walther P99/PPQ, should be on the list. Beretta APX is very good too.
I heard the new, yet to be released Gen 6s will come with a dremel. 😭😭
And a hot iron.
Dude if only my glocks could stipple themselves!
Lol
MIScaletech tf is a Dremel?
MIScaletech yeah but they really need to come with a hot glue gun!😂😂😂 And a list of gunsmiths to spend another grand or two to justify its ( reputation)
A million thanks. The most helpful video I’ve bumped into.
With my military background the Beretta was pushed hard and required carry. With my law enforcement background the Glock 22 was the weapon of issue. I've fired multiple handguns. Hammer and striker fire alike. I've recently purchased for my EDC the Beretta APX Centurion. This gun is without a doubt the most comfortable handgun I've ever fired in 9mm,
.380, .40, .45 and .38. with that being said. I've recently gotten the chance to fire the FNH 5.7 and that was like butter!!! The ammo however; is impossible to get ahold of. Let's not forget the price tag of 1100+. The gun just isn't a feasible EDC let alone concealable. So far the APX Centurion is the best I've ever fired. If I was still a LEO I'd carry the full-size APX. Hands down.
Awesome video. I think the Px4 storm compact is right up there as well.
Canik, Gun of the year 2017, for a reason
Zig Zag man that Canik can be purchased for $299 now. A great price.
I had a Glock 22C for a couple of years. I experienced lots of failure to extracts. I used only premium ammo. Needless to say I replaced my Glock with a Sig, and I have been very happy ever since.
I like to thank you for putting up this video,All I been hearing about his Glock I'm going to look into the MP 2.0 as well as the is aCZ10 this will be my first pistol for me as well as my daughter were now in the process of taking the concealed carry class thank you again
For a little smaller, more affordable choice, the Taurus G2c is a great gun.
I want the CZ for sure
Manly and Loving It I love my p10c and p10s. They’re great! Never had one problem with either one!
Sig p320c
Thanks for mentioning the G2C. It's a VERY good pistol for the money.
Cz is an amazing firearm 💪🏽
I had a g2c hated the trigger so I sold it to a friend and then bought a sig p320 Rx-carry. Now if the trigger was better maybe I would have kept it.
Ruger Security 9 deserves some attention even though it is a budget gun with a manual safety, these are both crucial sale points for first timers, shoots and Carries great
My husband got a Security 9 for his security job, and it’s a good pistol. Very comparable to a Glock 19.
G Lcp #1🔫 - 2🔫🙏👍👍👍
I’ve shot a tiger security 9 and it always had feeding issues
Awesome channel Hegshot!!
Great Video, thanks.
My favorite one on that table is the VP9sk. I only wish H&K would make an actual subcompact version of the VP9sk and still have a 10 round capacity
Are you referring to a single stack? I own the 9sk, and my only complaint is capacity, for it’s size it should hold 12 rds but HK is notorious for being cheap with round capacity. My understanding is they feel cramping ammo in mags jeopardizes reliability.
@@eddierivera2908 May have been true in the past, but now with the Sig P365 and Springfields Helcat, things have changed. Personally, I prefer 12+ rounds in a Sub-Compact carry gun. I would buy the HK VP9xx over the competition if it had the capacity of 12+ rounds.
LASVEGAS GEORGE George I was referring specifically to the VP9sk. I own one its great but capacity should be more for its size. With regards to the sig 365 I would never trust that gun, ever !! Hellcat, still waiting for it to be in market a little longer, although so far seems to be much more reliable than the 365. IMHO
Do you shooters want more than ten rounds because you frequent Christmas parties at Nakatomi plaza? Jeez, if you can't defend yourself with 10 rounds, you're in the wrong neighborhood! Carry an extra magazine! Wimps!
Edward don’t be a weirdo
Ruger Sec 19 is my personal all round favorite. Its a Glock 19 thats ambidextrous and optional thumb safety for all the old timers. AND For around or less than 300$
Could you tell me which you’d choose between a Glock 19 VS an HK VP9sk? I do realize that technically one is a compact and one is a... sub Kompact... but from reading a bit, it seems that the HK with the pinky extension becomes about the size of the 19. In terms of conceal-ability, trigger, recoil (although most 9mm don’t have much), etc. Which would you prefer? Thanks
Thanks Hegshot! Good list. My favorite glock alternatives for carry are all da/sa pistols though.
How did you forget the amazing Springfield Armory XD they are so dam reliable and so well made. Ask anyone that has an XD.
Mark Di Maggio Agreed
I shot my dads XD a while back, it’s pretty fun to shoot
What about the Smith and Wesson sd9ve that's also a good glock alternative
That firing pin issue happened with both my G22 and 19. The guide rod cracked on my G22 also. Neither pistol had more than 2500 rounds through them. I replaced the parts and sold them both. I'll stick to my Springfield XD's and S&W M&P's.
I love those Sig P320's. Great gun, great trigger, and an amazing shooter. I see your 320 in the video is PRE recall. Did you have the trigger recall performed? When I bought mine it was already the new design.
Went to my local gun shop and held a vp9sk; that gun feels amazing. Hoping to get one eventually, it'll be my first gun.
Beanjuice You cant go wrong with it !! If u havent bought it I got mine with crimson trace laser for $487 brand new !!
Best firearm I have ever owned! Feels great, shoots flat and looks all night long! Great balance of size and weight and the excellent quality of an H&k. I love it so much I bought a Vp9 tactical, then turned it into a longslide for the range. This is a superior firearm to any other 9mm you can purchase for concealed carry, if you are a gun aficionado who can sacrifice the cost of quality. Sure, others will do the job, but the sk will put them to shame.
walther ppq of course
Great video. I love the CZ trigger it definitely has the best reset and might be the best “out of box” but overall I love the HK trigger the best. Doesn’t reset as instant as CZ but still has a good reset and the flat face surface just makes it feel great.
13:40 BRO this is my entire life. Every time i go to the range and ask for CCW suggestions they say: "JuSt GeT a FulL sIZe GlOck" and try to sell me a membership. I could never have said this as well as you said it.
Springfield XD Mod 2 9 mm subcompact
Awesome shooting
Yup my edc
Walther PPQ💚🍀👍
Beretta PX4?
I picked up the Stoeger STR-9 for $238. Compared it to the H&K VP9, twins... the owner of the VP9 said he wished he would have found the Stoeger before he bought the VP9
I have an FN 509... I love it...
The H&K VP9 SK would be my choice.
Smart man / Hk all the way!
Seems like XDs are often overlooked, glad you threw it in there.
I don't see the Steyr M9-A1 there (or the other variants: C, S, L). Have you tried those?
I would add the Steyr M9-A1 to your comparable list !
The FNs are better pistol then the Gs to...
FN 5.7🔫👍
FNs 40 cal
@@rosibelrodriguez2847 Ruger is making one now!!! MSRP is 1/2 of FN too!!! I love my FNS-9 BUT the 5.7 is beyond me!!!
I own two Glocks 45acp 21 and 30 Gen4 great firearms. But I like my M&P 5" Pro 1.0 and Compact 1.0 9mm more. Looking forward to picking up the 2.0 compact and shield 2.0 Great review!😉👍
I happened upon this post again and funny how things change. Since my first reply, I've decided to switch from XDMs to PPQs, a Canik TP9sfx, and maybe a HK vp9. Nothing wrong with XDMs, I just thought I'd try a few other pistols.
No PPQ?
I like my Glocks, I also like my S&W and Taurus automatics. That being said I also like my revolvers, large and small. Fact is Glock laid the floor plan for striker fired polymer pistols, I say carry the one that works for you. If you feel more confident with a steel frame or hammer fired gun or maybe you don't feel safe without a 1911 or a 4 inch barrel .357 magnum. Whatever you choose is most likely going to be effective when it matters, guns have come along way.
I remember my first encounter with glock perfection, I was shooting Winchester 115 fmj & every other mag I had a failure to feed. I was sold
What do u think about the XD
Honorable mention for PPQ?
No Ruger?
2 misses.
No FNH, FN 509? Like your list, thanks for the video.
Probably because FNH has 17 rnd mags, not 15. I love FNH but many on internet think you must have 15 rnd mags.
Many people are missing out on the 509!
I haven't tried the 509 yet, but my edc pistol is an FNS-9. I love it. In fact, unless it fails me, I don't really have a reason to move on to the 509. I like it that much.
I carry FNS 40, love that pistol. I also Carry the HK VP 40 at times as well as the VP9SK... but my go to war gun is the FNS40 hands down.. tracks extremely fast ... simply amazing at an amazing price
@@jaime3739 that must be why they left off the Ruger SR9. It has 17 rounds and also. I own a Glock and I own a Ruger SR9. I like them both.
Which one is available in a 40 cal?
What was the price point for your P320 with the optic sight?
Springfield armory and Walther is the semi automatic to go with
I have mp2.0 The nice Gun can't beat Price
The company that started polymer frame pistols. HK No Compromise.
Facts
@@turnttaco7661 Yes indeed and still the frontrunner.
G2C has been great for me. Clinger, IWB at four o'clock, comfy. Over 500 rounds, NO issues. LCP2 for summer carry, smaller and easy to pocket.
I absolutely agree but FN is missing
I love my FN Five Seven. But the others have a really bad trigger. Which one were you thinking?
Compare "Glock " to "Apple "!! Exelent point man!!👍👍
yes, 'exelent'! :)
PPQ for me but awesome choices for sure. Thinking about the P10C next.
Yeah I’m eyeballing that Canik (or it’s SFx big brother) for my first. My wife and I both loved the it felt and everything I’ve heard is that they just keep working, at least long enough for me to save up and buy a VP9 or PPQ to replace it.
I have a xd9 and the ppq q4 tac luv them both.
Glock is the first pistol I ever bought that I was excited to go shoot. The squishy trigger alone made me want to return the gun.
Can you do a full review on the SAR 9 it belongs next to the H&K and the PPQ
I am looking into getting Springfield mod 2, 4” barrel. I like the semi compact with hi cap mags. It will be my first polymer/stricker fire pistol. Most of my guns are metal and I thought I would give the polymer pistols a try.
I’m not sure how you left out the Springfield XDM models. They’re better than all of those.
The fact that there has to be Glock alternatives shows that Glock is indeed the best. Just kidding. But I would take the M&P as I like the ergonomics.
Have you tried the SAR9? I absolutely love mine
Hello everyone.I have to choose between glock 19 and canik tp9 elite. But i can't decide.Canik's price glock's reputation is very good.Which weapon would you choose directly out of the box.(don't count the glock store so don't take into account the glock's part variety.).the canik seems better quality to me.Since it will be my first gun, I want it to be a special weapon that deserves my money. If you answer impartially, I would love it, my friends :)
Love my Glocks, love my CZ's, love my Sigs, love my Rugers.
Again the XD got snubbed....? Great gun with a great price.
Xdm is barely priced more and you get a gun designed for competition. Match grade barrel, trigger, etc.
I'm still looking for the one that fits me best can't afford the better ones trying to find a decent budget gun so far found the s&w shield ez 380 bersa thunder 380 taurus g2c taurus 856 and r i a m206 if there are any more decent ones out there any recommendations are appreciated
Ol Heggy gives the best n most honest reviews
The HK is the best looking gun on that table and the next one is a distant second.. I was just at the range upgrading my sights on my M&P shield and I put that HK VP9 SK in my hand and I didn’t want to let it go.. I’m getting that Gun in three weeks, in OD green
Seth Clayburn you won't regret it
I love mine, carry it every day
Best gun I own, and I have many.
FNX9 should be on here way before the Canik.
When I first bought my new Glock 19 gen 4 it shot great, then one day at the range it started to stovepipe. I changed the spring the mags and it still stovepipe. I sold it to my nephew and what do you think happened , he never had any thing go wrong, I bought a Smith and Wesson compact 9 2.0 and with over a thousand rounds through it never had any problems.
Limp wrist issue!
On your other vid, explain that the Sig P320F is 17 round mags. The one I bought in Colorado had the mags permanently altered to 14 rounds per Colorado 15 round mag limit. I'm unable to buy more mags for my gun. Ain't that a crock?
You miss the "other" Austrian,
STEYR M9-A1
Great gun but for me personally it didn't live up to the hype. It feels like a slightly modded MP 2.0C to me and that means it's an awesome pistol but nothing to write home about
I'm triggered already, just that title has me crying in my safe space.
Lol yea, they are called cry closets now apparently 🤣
Are you still crying? Has anyone checked on you? Kidding of course, almost bought a 19C recently but that PPQ in the case was just too nice to pass up. Some day I'd love to pick up a C model glock just for fun.
Clean co witness on that 320. Did you get it cut for that?
I appreciate the review! I'm pretty new to guns, but I'm looking to buy a better 9mm than what I currently have. Can you tell me who has the better warranty & customer service? I'm leaning towards purchasing the M&P 2.0 compact. Thanks
Smith is lifetime warranty.
