Enikk Airtel und, I had 2 postpaid sim cards, dth and fiber. I disconnected dth and changed my postpaid to prepaid recently. I'm still using fibre. The whole process was easy and I didn't have any issues with it.
Reminds me of my case with Airtel DTH. Kept receiving calls every now and then, since I stopped recharging my pack. Every time they call me, they try to promote an offer or discount. And on every call, I had to tell them that I am not recharging coz there is no literally no one at my home who watches TV currently. This went for months, but the funny part being that this whole thing started several months after I stopped recharging. Airtel Broadband is going smooth so far since I had been switching to apartments where Airtel already has a huge user base. Hence, there is a dedicated Airtel in-charge for the apartment and so the process goes smooth that way.

Then I applied for cancellation, but until now no installation or cancellation happened. Everyday I call the customer centre and they always gives a false promise regarding cancellation and a new connection. Now it's almost 28 days, I don't know what to do next.

Hey, I urge you to file a consumer complaint against them, and get back your money+ compensation. There are legal sites, who charges nominal fees and help you with this. If everyone leaves them like this, they'll never stop this.

Even after raising disconnect request they did not remove my broadband and dth services. Instead they put it in suspended and prepaid state. I raised a complaint for it and the complaint was closed without any response. Since I do not get any bill for them, I stopped following up on it. I guess thats how they show their huge consumer numbers in data. Airtel service and support is very pathetic!
