I’m Gaelic Scottish and I LOVE seeing tourists visit Gaelic Scotland, I love seeing them explore ancient sites, our old castles, telling us about their ancestors from the 1800’s who fled to America during the Clearances, I love recommending food to try if they’re interested, places to visit that are full of history, museums to visit to learn more about their ancestors heritage and more about us Gaels. I’ve also helped lost tourists, I look like a typical Gael (red hair, very pale, blue eyes) and end up being a tour guide and walking with people to where they’re trying to go so I know they’re safe, and if they’re interested I’ll explain some history of the area. It makes me very happy seeing tourists from all over the world, I feel very honoured that they came to visit and I hope they enjoy their memories!

This actually didn’t need to be a video. I was listening to it while crocheting and I surprisingly picked up a lot of stuff that he was saying. Pewds, honestly you could just have a podcast and talk about anything, I would listen to it. I actually cried listening to the part of "being satisfied with yourself" I always have the mindset of pity and hating my life. But listeing to you saying "to be satisfied with yourself, you can always be better at anything--but as long as you're trying or taking steps you have to be satisfied with that" which hits hard because i compare myself from other people's life and giving up easily. This also reminds me of my boyfriend's favorite quote from Bojack Horseman: “Every day it gets a little easier… But you gotta do it every day - that's the hard part. i’ve been watching you since i was a child. has to be almost 10 years at this point. i had a rough childhood up until adulthood and your videos have given me so much comfort. it feels like i know you!! though we will probably never meet and you don’t know anything about me, you’ve gotten me through the darkest moments in my life. i love how real you keep it, and the death stuff has been heavy on my mind recently too. but to know that everyone on earth all go through the same motions, makes me feel connected and more at ease. we’re all navigating the same path, though they’re all different. it just feels more comforting to know that we’re all here together in this lifetime, and it reminds me to always share love. thank you felix. 💗
Something I learned, when Felix talked about anxiety he’s absolutely right working out getting more active as well as having a schedule and sleeping at the same time helps it won’t fix it magically for everybody unfortunately. Some people won’t have a easy time understanding that if you grew up in a mess up situation could even not be a very bad one but if it was not great you’ll likely to have a bad time regulating yourself and also the genes right? So some people really won’t have chronic anxiety they’ll get anxious and stressed in life and experience loss and heartbreak but they’ll cope better. There’s no reason to beat yourself over it. Try to sleep better eat better do better… not perfect, better… no reason not to try you have all to gain and nothing to lose

I like to think people connect quickly and so abnormally close to vloggers is because of how close we get to faces in videos, so it kind of sparks that intimate moment we rarely get in real life. I also find myself feeling nostalgic watching this kind of stuff, especially Let's Plays, more so because I'm reminded of just sitting next to my older brother as he played games. Just odd bonding.
That was so much valuable information about how to deal with my current problems that I will have to watch it again and take some notes. Yes, this video will not change my life but maybe it will slightly push me in the right direction.

Pewds I'm 48 years old, I've been living in Japan for a year and 8 months, I don't know the language all by heart but I got enough to get by. All I can say is just keep you being you. My job I'm lucky enough as an actor to meet a lot of foreign people, and no matter who you are in Japan you will always be foreign. And it's a welcome equality for all of us. I think the reason so many fans say that he’s done so much for them is because it’s consistency. People like to have consistency in their lives and knowing that you can watch a new video everyday for sometimes hours from someone you really enjoy can probably be the highlight for some peoples days. People throwing themselves into a fandom or a hobby can be therapeutic but I understand why he doesn’t understand because from his perspective he’s just doing a video for fun why would it be anything other than entertainment.
Anyone else been binge watching the old playthroughs? I saw a thumbnail of an old video from 2012 of him playing TWD and a wave of nostalgia just hit me and ever since then I've just been watching his old videos. I felt like a kid again, just getting home exhausted from school and watching PewDiePie the whole evening. Although I wouldn't recommend ever showing his content to a kid (sorry), thanks for being a big part of my childhood. 4:40 As someone who also used to drink heavily, after I quit, I did find it more difficult to just "have fun," but after a while I learned to dedicate my time to productive things that interested me like DIY projects and building things. Those always interested me before I started drinking heavily, but I didn't realize how fulfilling they were until I quit them for a while and then picked them up again when I was looking for things to keep busy with. Ive been watching Pewds for over a decade, These Japan vlogs have bee some of my favorite content he's ever made
pewds has that older brother vibe. growing up watching his videos made me feel like i had an old male-role model, even though i didn't have a dad, i felt as though i grew along side pewds. not in a weird way or anything- just how mature he got made me realise a lot. weird.
For how insanely successful you got at one point you've remained a very ''normal'' guy. Your head is in the right space and you are developing yourself after all this hard work you've done still. Makes me proud to see you do so well and its also somewhat inspirational. i guess

Although it may not be your focus, I do hope you keep uploading to youtube, especially the japan vlogs. Those vlogs feels like an event for me. Every time a new vlog is uploaded, I just keep the notification afloat, go back home from work, and chill the rest of the day watching the vlog. Really really feels like I'm living the dream myself, and I absolutely love it.

The answers to xenophobic Japan was spot on. I’ve traveled and lived in other countries and this is what sets us apart. Those that don’t let others experience dictate their own will be happiest. I lived in countries where I felt blessed while my friends lived there afterwards and say they prefer being in the USA lol. I feel at this point I can find the silver lining in almost any situation.
I am a Japanese living in Tokyo. I think you are right, there are unspoken rules in Japan. For example, when you are invited to a wedding, the etiquette is to pay the fee in new bills. It conveys the thoughtfulness that I had prepared new bills in advance for the bride and groom for your friend's marriage.
Conversely, it is bad manners to prepare new bills for a funeral. It gives the impression of rudeness to prepare new bills in advance, assuming that a friend or relative will be dying soon.

As someone who asked one of those questions, I definitely can relate and I used to really feel sort of saddened by this distance between myself and 'ordinary' people, as if the flaw were within me. What I have come to realize is that as much as we are separate from them, we are also drawn together to these people that are capable of understanding us, with whom we have something in common, and therefore there is no terrible thing about our sense of alienation from most people at all. That is the very thing that makes us exceptional.

the "handing in money with both hands" thing is so interesting to me as someone writing a fictional series about an alien culture. I love getting inspiration from real cultures and learning how they differ from my own in small ways I wouldn't normally expect. like, I wouldn't have ever thought that the way you hand in money could be different in other cultures. that's so cool!
re: learning to let things go- it's a lot harder for me than the Average Person(tm) because I have bpd (alongside other stuff lol) but I 100% agree with that mindset. let yourself have feelings, don't suppress them, but also don't let it consume your life. it can be really difficult to let things go because feelings really don't always follow logic or ration. I've been working on controlling myself and getting away from harmful coping mechanisms and I still have relapses at age 26. it sucks knowing I'll always kind of be this way- bpd (and many other mental disorders) cannot be literally cured but you just have to learn to live with it and work around it until you can be a normal functioning human being lol. I'll always have intense reactions internally but I'm slowly realizing I shouldn't hate myself for that, or hate myself for having allowed my emotions to control me in the past, but strive to be a better person and hopefully influence others like me to do the same :) there are some things I can never truly let go of tbh but I just want to be happy with my life despite it. I really hate the whole mindset of "forgive your abusers or you can never heal". I can sure as hell heal from my traumatic experiences without forgiving people who will never apologize to me. the best revenge is living your best life without them, in spite of what they did to you. maybe that's an odd way of thinking but for me at least, as someone who has been TOO forgiving in the past, it's a much healthier mindset for me and helps motivate me to live my best life.

Felix has grown so much, I'm so proud of him and Marzia! (Bro since COD) Is nice to see him explore life, and us with them. Love your answers to the dark questions, that was a spot on answer. I used to help all of my friends with their emotions and thoughts, it required me to carry all of their suicidal intentions and attempts in the middle of the night, but I'm finally healing myself, and they all made it and live in peace knowing how to deal with that.

I've been watching Felix for so long that even on his breaks I still visit his CZcams to see if he uploaded. I'm happy knowing that him not uploading every single day is making him happy, as he said his videos now are more on what he actually wants to talk about, which is very fun for me and a lot of other people. It's nice to see too what people say on the comments, it's fun looking at these people who appreciates Felix for who he is not just the Felix who plays video games, or the Felix who do stunts. I see Felix as a Father now that he's old but back when he plays i see him as a brother/friend. I don't mean to be weird or anything. I don't have both of those so having someone like him makes me happy. He's made me happy for so many years and seeing him happy is so refreshing to see. We love you Felix❤️

Just wanted to say thanks for making this, Felix, you have no idea the power of one video at the right time. i watched this at 3am and this is really what i needed to hear. I'm struggling with nicotine/pot addiction and it's really messing me up. I get really depressed when i give into my addiction and can't beat it...i feel weak and powerless. but thanks to you I'm really looking into Buddhism and breaking the control vices have over me. i know you don't have to make these videos but i just wanted to say thanks you for doing so.

It’s like Felix is a close friend or relative of the viewer, and he takes them out on a calming walk&talk in nature, but it suddenly turns into a windy and rainy situation instead but they keep up the casualness and it just ends up looking really cool and spiritual in a way.
I’ve been following this blessed man since the start of his channel, and at this point I would actually be so happy for him to focus less on youtube and more on his personal life he deserves it fr.

You have honestly helped me grow as a person. Not in the “ you saved me when I was in my low “ but in a sense that you were very influential to me in the ways that I respond to things now. I know when and to when not be immature about some topics and also how to deal with people (I work at a fast food restaurant and people can be rude for no reason). You also helped me learn and improve my English when I wasn’t very confident in my pronunciation and that it is okay to make mistakes as long as you make sure you correct yourself and be a better person in the future.

As somebody who is over weight with crippling anxiety (mine effects my vision), my therapist and I have agreed that working out has been extreamly helpful for my mental heath. Not even for loosing weight, just the release from breaking a sweat.
