Great video! Really touched my heart about what skiing can really do to you. I really could not imagine a friend of mine being swept away by a avalanche. Also being swept 400 meters down aguile de midi is crazy! I went there and I remember seeing how steep it is! Lots of people should have respect for how truly amazing you are

just one word. Epic.
I alpine style (just 2 days from the valley) climbed Huascaran in 1981 and found it to be an easy mountain to climb. At the time i wished i had a pair of ski's with me for the descent.

Regarding the video, SalomonFreeskiTV is one of my favourite channels on CZcams, but after the teaser I must say that I expected the film to be a bit more than what it is...

Never knew the difference between Free Ride and Extreme Skiing until now. Free Ride = Something I would like to do. Extreme Skiing = Something I hugely respect but will never do.

Fabulous video! This video should be named " tempting danger" as fear is simply only an illusion and far from even exists.
Great film. But i must admit that I do not understand the passion for making things so extreme. I get it with the mountains but there are ways to be at one with the mountains / elements without putting you life at such risk. I was in Chamonix 10 days ago. Skied three lovely powder days in the trees at Grant Montets with about 100 other guys and we all had a ball. And all lived for another day. But then again that is probably why i am not an extreme skier......

Andreas Fransson( rip) was an introspective and highly talented skier/alpinist. like Trevor peterson (rip),luck did not shine on him on that day. everyone has been lucky one time or another in a situation that could have taken their life on the otherhand if you frequently place yourself in a position of danger are you increasing your skill and therefore increasing your odds to be lucky or are you just pulling another ace out of your sleeve until you run out of aces. maybe the elite mountain climbers have an answer as they have been at the game a long time. sadness prevails though........
