Great job....cool build! Thanks for sharing. Been watching quite a few AWD Civic conversions on CZcams lately and I think it’s amazing how much time, work, fabrication and materials are involved in the process. However, being a DIE HARD JDM enthusiast and hardcore fan of everything JDM...I don’t get why no one ever think to just buy Japanese AWD Civic chassis and swap over the floor pans and all the AWD suspension and hardware. Granting there’s no Japanese EM(coupe) Civic, the EF-88-91, EG8-92-95, EK-96-00, and ES1-01-05 sedans all came with Real Time AWD setups similar to that used in the CR-V. Don’t get me wrong, for track use and big power gains, totally get the custom fab work, bracing and such, but for a cool daily driver with a factory setup that can also be improved on, this just seems like the most logical way to go. After watching this I may find an AWD ES chassis for a cool similar build! Keep up the great work, keep us updated on your progress!

Pirate Garage Know exactly what you mean. They do this because they figure they can make more money with Z, Silvia, Skyline, Evo, Supra, and the more mainstream (over-popularized) Japanese models, including EG and EK Civics, therefore avoiding or even refusing to import lesser known or unpopular models.
