    So to clarify: these are all the upgrades you made to your car to send approximately 40% of the torque/power to the rear wheels? And this negates the need for a viscous coupler?

    Are you ready to compare your setup to Tims? Would the ultimate setup for reducing slip in the rear be:

    I have a Honda Element and, watching Element videos, noticed that they sometimes don't transfer power very well. I have seen someone put a Crosstour rear diff into an Element and have also seen a video of someone upgrading the Element with a spool kit which is essentially the same as yours - drill out the oil passage and new springs. Is the CRV rear diff compatible with the Element? What makes the CRV rear diff better than the Element?

    ok ive seen videos where people pin and weld thier clutch(then i found you can buy new clutch plates that do the work without pinning/welding), i assume to lock the diff so its always awd all the time, and ive seen a few of your videos where you change the springs and drill out the oil passage and im assuming that changes how fast the rear diff kicks in and how much power you get from the rear when it does?... what im not sure of is is it beneficial to do both or do you do one or the other. i figure locking the clutch probably wears your rear tires more, or can burn out the awd over the long run? but the springs and oil passage seems like a healthy upgrade that will stand the test of time? is there a place i can go to further educate myself on the subject? seems like an upgrade id want to do for my E

  • @sewkingwet
    @sewkingwet Před rokem

    love the videos, great info , but fluid dynamics increasing orfice size lowers pressure more flow less pressure. Orfice size dictates the pressure coming out if you make it larger it is easier for the fluid to flow requiring less pressure. Like when rod bearings go in a vehicle your oil pressure drops because there is no resistance to the oil flow which creates the pressure. The pumps just create flow not pressure. not trying to be a douche, this may work by getting the fluid to flow in faster and actuate faster but it will not increase pressure. have you tried both with and with out drilling to seee which works better or if difference in engagement is felt? I am curious

    • @erikcbeeler
      @erikcbeeler Před 5 měsíci

      More flow allows the pressure to build faster as I understand it.
