Nice man. Would you consider making a video on the three external connections, what they are for and the settings for their functionality? I.E. how would you configure the mic connector if it's grabbing the audio from a mixer? How to configure this for a web cam via the USB and via the HDMI with a capture device. Thank you.

I wish the Custom Sets on the selector dial would allow you to record different buttons as well. Since when you change modes it changes what the front and rear dial do for instance it would be nice to be able to decide that for yourself. But otherwise loved my x-s10 so much that even though i bought it new right before the x-s20 was announced I didnt have the heart to return it and wait the months for the x-s20 to arrive without it 😅
Thanks for this, my old Nikon had explanatory pages for every settings with examples as well, Fuji made it a bit more difficult to understand everything

Just bought my first mirrorless camera -fujifilm x s 10 last week and looked th rough menus and took about 50 shots . The battery went down to 3 bars . I will reserve my judgement until i have been out and about( it has been raining here every day) . I have since switched off lcd and changed to evf only and switched bluetooth off which seemed to be on by default even though had not setup a connection. I will reserve my judgement until been out and just taking photos. Is a good helpful video .

For doing selfies/portrait photo with the xs10 which lense would I need to use so im not getting a reverse mirrored image?

Great video, but is there a way to get clean HDMI from the XS-10? The option to turn off the HDMI Output Info Display is strangely absent in the menu
Hi Alexander,
yes there is, you need to be on the video mode then get to the menu. On the second page you will see the ''HDMI OUTPUT INFO DISPLAY''.

Ordered one used today. can you set the back lcd to only show information and not live view? Kinda like a DSLR where you get info on back and use vf for composing image.
Can you save white balance shift (R and B values) to a custom preset (C1:C4)? I can't on my X-T20 and it's a big bummer

Thank you for your interesting video! I just bought this camera! Can you Can you explain to me why the flash incorporate in the camera only works in customisation -C2-C3-C4 and in the first one it doesen't work. It doesen't even work in manual program - in diaphragms priority-in time priority. Also in the first customisation I entered negative classic but clarity doesen't work! I apologise for my English...Please can you help me??!! I don't know how to resolve..! I didn't find anything in the manual. Thank you if you answerme! Roberto

Hi. Your video is very informative. Just one question. I cannot switch the LCD screen or the EVF on or off by means of the button on the side of thee EVF. When I press it just keeps bringing up the White Balance adjustment. Can you help.
While the view finder is on, press and hold the DISP/BACK button until you see the Function
(Fn) setting menu, now scroll down to the key the Fn Key and change it from white balance to VIEW MODE

Hi there, so I just purchased this awesome camera that I have for about a week to pair it with my ronin S gimbal, but when its connected to the camera the record button only seems to take pictures but no video, at one point it worked , but don't ask me how I did, it went back to photo mode.... Is it normal to be that hard to connect such a pricey camera and gimbal together, or there is something wrong , or im missing something? apparently it is compatible as I saw on another mans video here on CZcams , but I can't seem to find the answer on how to resolve the problem, any ideas?

Probably a very basic question but have not figured it out. How do I set the flash so that whenever I pop it open, it just works? I've tried taking fill-in flash on occasion to reduce facial shadows for example or light the exposure a bit, and the flash does not fire. Thanks.
I don't know if this is helpful, but on my X-E3 the flash will not work if the electronic shutter is set.

It’s weird but my “view modes” especially “eye sensor+lcd image display “ doesn’t work like you showed ?! Basically does same thing as “eye sensor” SAME THING. Camera is brand new , firmware updated to latest version 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻 can you help ?

My focus mode is stuck , the option stays gray. Can you suggest on why that is happening?
If you ever chat with the firmware engineers, Film Style bracketing is awesome.....if it only saved a single RAW file in RAW+jpeg mode, instead of 3 jpegs with the film styles and 3 associated RAW files. SD cards are cheap, but....

At the 7:10 part of the video, making reference to a button in the top right corner of the touchscreen set to "area" and being able to drag the focus point around the screen as well as cycle through a few different options for that button.. mine only shows "AF OFF/ON" in green when on and nothing else. How to make it so it's like in your video? I'm sure it's probably something super simple, but I just can't seem to figure it out. Can anyone help, please? Thanks in advance.. 👍🏻🙌🏻

Hi, if you want to navigate more quickly from the the various points, having less points makes it faster to get from one side of the screen to the other.

How do I get my lcd screen to continuously remain on? when I'm shooting landscapes it goes off after 30 seconds and I have to push a button to get it back in again which is frustrating, thanks!

Hi, thanks for the great video. There is something I can't figure out with my X-S10: when the dial is in one of the 4 Custom Modes, and the shooting mode is P, the front wheel still controls the Shutter Speed. Why is that? (on the contrary, when the dial is in P, there the Shutter Speed is automatic, so I would expect it to be the same even in C1-C4 with P as shooting mode)
If you press the Q button , When you are using the custom modes you’ll be able to put it in shutter or aperture priority. It took me a while to figure that out as well

Question. My camera is fully charged , I’ve only done a couple sessions. Today I was going to use it and I actually charged it yesterday the light was green but when I turned it on everything is black and basically looks like it’s off, how can I fix this problem ?
Hi, can you verify the view mode on the camera? You might be on EVF only.

Fuji Guys Channel I figured it out! Lol I’ve been charging it with the plug and thought thats how the actual battery would be charged but I bought another battery for it and charged the original battery it came with and it turned on, gave me a scare lol thank you!

Hi, you cannot track an object in video mode, you will need to set the camera to AF-C and keep the object in the AF box.

Hi, are you using a native Fujifilm lens? if not you need to enable ''shoot without lens'' in the button and dial setting. If you are using a Fujifilm lens make sure it connected properly to the body.

Brand new X-S10 out of the box, that button does not do anything :P
This is so confusing what does every setting mean and do?
Cool camera but hate this ergonomics, have choosed fuji for iso exposure rings, and now they use this dslr ergonomics in medium formate, old design much much better

Pretty sure they didn't get rid of the old ergonomics you like, just added a new camera with different ones.

the button to the immediate right of the EVF brings up white balance for me, not the various modes of the viewfinder. What would be causing that...perhaps a firmware update?

So I never owned a camera before,never ever,bought this one at the recomandation of my photography teacher ,but he just does not explain me anything about how it works. I don t know anything about the meniu and I trying to understand what you are saying, and ...I do not.
In Custom Settings the Auto Update settings is not well explained. DIDN'T EXPLAIN...…IF YOU CHANGE THE SETTINGS WHILST SHOOTING eg altering White balance whether that is automatically saved in the custom settings menu or not.
Good video. It would have been better without the distracting back ground music. Why have music in instructional video? Overall a good video.

How to use blotooth x-s10
All too much menu diving and too little Fn buttons (shortcuts) There is room for at least 3 Fn buttons beside the joystick ;)
So does that mean that the aperture and shutter speed dials cannot be reversed?!? That is a massive disappointment!
You're like all the other UTubers who do a "how to" on new cameras, you talk too fast! I am new to Fuji and now I have to find another "how to" video. I was looking for how do I take continuous photos with the X-S10 and you didn't answer the question.
I hate this camera so much. I feel like they just made it to disappoint people into buying into their full frame line.
Rarely have I felt so frustrated by a camera. The usability is all over the place. The settings are erratic and devoid of logic. This camera has made me appreciate my old cameras so much more. Can't understand how so many bad decisions could find their way into the same product. It defies imagination as to how bad the user experience can be. Truly and utterly shite!
