You _may_ have to hope Poland rejects Lithuania and picks the local noble. The less friends Poland can call to bodypile you, the better.
After independence... perhaps push your border west and join up with the HRE? Getting chummy amongst its big guys could be helpful in securing the rest of Poland.
Pray to God that Poland picks the local noble, doesn't get moldavia, and doesn't get Ducal Prussia. Because if they do, they'll probably get hungry, and then you'll never survive.
Revenge for Varna? As Krakow be curia controller, call a crusade against Otto, expel them from Europe, all the while owning all the land ruled by Wladyslaw III
Edit: You're probably gonna have to have Austria and/or Bohemia as early allies and try and also ally Muscovy to help during the goals

Could you play for Co near Korea in South Korean sea?
For Soyo, try to decrease your own opinion of them so they can't annex you. By getting claims on their land, setting provinces of interest on them, ask them for things they will deny.

Id also say make sure to dev your own provinces with non mil mana, focus mil. Wait for them to get invovled in a war, when you have mil tech adv you can dec.
Claims and provs of interest also help. Claims can give you an event im sure you know about by now.
When war happens, get mercs, go way over fl, take max loans,(will increase if you dev your provinces), mil adv, and scorch earth. It is winnable.
@@Caterev0038cool Placate reduces liberty desire, it doesn't do anythi g to opinion. If his opinion of Kongo is less than 190 then Kongo can't start the annexation
I spent ten minutes watching you and talking to myself, saying "You can't declare another war when you are fighting the emperor!" ... It was like watching a scary movie telling the main character the killer is behind them
Same as if the emperor is your ally in a way, you can't declare on another HRE member, They stoped that kinda tomfoolery and made it a little harder :) I learnt this the hard way

At some point you need to give in and run a nation ruin special; it's nation ruin or the series goes Soyo-less.
Maybe, as long as he doesn't go overboard. At the very least use the starting monarch points to dev up Soyo and use the diplomats to insult the vassals

Edit: Also for Soyo, try to focus mil right away and do a death war. You pretty much just chill after for a bit, and Kongolese lands are quite good. I'm not sure if they have a mission tree, that might make it easier maybe?

Maybe for Ming releasables ( and others like it ) you should modify the rules. Like maybe some lite nation ruining BUT you then have to take all Ming's core ( so not just make them not exist, but replace them ) AND/OR take the Mandate?

Not an idea for Krakow, but I have an idea for the Ming vassals. Not sure if you've gotten it before but you could do a battle royal style. Release all the vassals, doing it in an order to get out as many as possible and then play one of them and you have to take out all the others and control all of Ming's starting provinces by the end. And if that seems like it would make it too easy, be the weakest starter and add controlling Korea, the northern tribes, and/or Japan too.

About nations having low troop counts: for some reason Ai keeps deleting all their armies only to immediately rebuild them in the recent patch. I don't get why they do it but it was insanely frustrating when I was trying to play as Mann but Scotland just removed their entire army for no reason.

Suggestion: You should play with mods such as missions expanded or flavour universalis to add more flavour and content to boring nations.
Here's me once again suggesting a co-op with one or two other guys (maybe more) for the Ming vassals with yourself as Dali and others as Yue+Wu

For Soyo, just delete your army and/or give 3 provinces to Ndongo via vassal interaction and then pop yourself out.

Could you out dev your annexation, at least prevent it from happening as quickly while the diplomatic situation changes, as Soyo? Like pump all your admin and diplo some mil while you have the burgers super happy and influential to help counter the high cost of deving as a vassal.
