John and Emily did exactly the right thing. John did what he needed to do when he was younger he had to move out that family was so toxic because the parents just cared about Ryan and nobody else. Toxic parents toxic mean brother.

A little critique. The title didn't really fit the story. During the erasing of the computer files Ryan was shown as both Ryan and John. Which is one of the reasons I have started to not look at the screen.
OP parents need to realize Ryan is not perfect and he actually has a Lotta issues and they’re the ones who caused him and they enabled him to be the way who he is now
The title of the story isn't what happened. Emily didn't kick Ryan out of the dinner. She yelled at him for being a jerk, and she and John left. Sarah called Emily Jamie when she was telling about the meeting with them.

At the ~14:18 mark, Sarah said "I, Sarah, also chose to stand with John and Jamie". John's wife is Emily. So who is Jamie? To the one who wrote this story make sure the names are correct.
