Cartagena is one of the most visited cities in the Americas: tourists flock here to enjoy the Caribbean climate, historic Walled City and gorgeous nearby beaches.
What a vibrant city.
Do u speak Spanish?? If u want to live in Colombia
you are a nut. Spanish is one of the worst languages of the world. If Colombia was an English speaking country or if they embraced it like most countries it would not be a 3 world country. I am from Mexican decent and I and all my family hate Spanish . Beyond stupid language
Cartagena is beautiful. We visited there before the pandemic and we really enjoyed the walking in the streets and watched the beautiful sunset. Watching this video brings back beautiful memories there. Will definitely come back.
What an amazing city!!! Built in the 1500s, Cartagena has tons of history and loads of glam. Btw, Cartagena's better beaches are about 20-30 minutes away from the city center. Baru and Rosario Islands (about 25 islands) have white sands and crystal clear/blue water.
Really like how you give out facts in these video. Feels like I’m there walking around with you.
Nice tour!lots of great views.
Injection of beauty!
Cartagena is magical! Only been there 3 times. Can't wait to go back.
Another excellent video 🎉
We really enjoy your video , we love Cartagena.. wish we could go back
Your videos are very informative
I have 36 days to go before I land in Colombia with my Colombian wife! ✈️✈️🔥🔥
22:24 I liked going thru this building. Of course the whole city looks fascinating. I hope to go someday.
It seems so much safer than it was in the 90s :).
Thank you for those tips extremely valuable when it comes to eating food
Thank you for this most informative video. I am investigating Columbia for place to visit every year during my retirement. I had considered Cartagena as the best spot because of the availability of the waterfront and the inexpensive flights from the US. But the quality of the water and the swim mobility was of paramount importance to me. I’m glad that you explained to me that the sand is this kind of stuff in the water is murky. that’s exactly what I experienced in Ecuador. So maybe I will consider different places in Columbia and maybe one or two day visit to her Cartia and then venturing out further to find that perfect beach life that I’m looking for
Amazing, my friend! You got me all excited about visiting Cartagena! Loved the teeth whitening part!
Good videos. I really like you all keep them real and helps the travelers view the true perspective of visiting a country.
Great video love the history
I would love to live in one of those high rises by beach. The views must be incredible.
I'll be there next year for sure.....!
You are a fortunate man to travel to such fun places regularly! I hope to travel that area in the near future! Thanks for the ideas of things to do when i do go!
Costa Rica is awesome too.

Great video sir
I grew up there but have been living in FL since 1991
Great guide!
Very informative, lots of info and it helped me a lot especially about the Check Mig. No problems getting in and out of the country. One thing I would mention is that you realy don't need to rent a car for the city, gas is cheap and so are cabs.
Nice video man!✌🏼
Car- Ta-Ge-Na.
Beautiful video
You provided a great video tour. I would recommend editing it a bit more to make it shorter and adding music for when you’re walking through the streets.
I enjoyed your video! Thank you for taking the time to tell us all about Cartagena, I’m going there in March, can you give me the info on the dentist that did your white cleaning? Thank you!
Top of the morning to you Jeff hope all is going well and going well for everybody around the world just been traveling also always doing something action-packed and something interesting it's interesting to study the universe in the world around us but anyway keep an action packed and God bless you guys
Good info
Great video, I am heading there in January. What did you see a big difference in your teeth? Also can you provide the name of the dentist you went to.
At 08:59 is El Muelle restaurant which is actually El Laguito area.
Next time visit Santa Marta and its surroundings.
What's the name of the Dentist place in Boca grande?
Wondering the same !
@@bereniseoo4541 me too
It’s Dra.G clínica odontológica (dental clinic). On San Martín Av.
You need to book an appointment
@@anacolonsanchez8886 Thank you so much. A visit Cartagena so much and I would love to get back to you clean and white there. It's my second home.
Enjoyed your very informative video; I will be going to Cartagena in January.
Can you tell me when this was filmed; rainy season perhaps? Also, do individual beachfront hotels 'control' portions of the beach in front of their facilities in any fashion as they do in some other places in the Caribbean and how much should it cost in Columbian money to rent loungers and umbrellas on Boca Grande? Thanks.
Steve
This was filmed early November 2021. And not that I noticed because in between the beach and the buildings is a road. The loungers are about 1 peso per minute it seemed like
🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴
60 bucks for tooth care man the beauty that other countries offers
This is the 3rd Cartagena video I’ve watched on CZcams and the 3rd time I’ve seen the two guys rapping on video. 😂 Guess they are looking to be discovered. 😂
Did you have an appointment for your teeth cleaning and whitening or did you just walk in off the street?
Yes they want to be discovered. I did not set an appointment I just walked in.
great video. wondering what camera do use and do you use a gimbal to get smooth footage.
Hello! What dentist office did you visit? If you don’t mind.. I’ll be there next month!
Cool video...how much was your haircut?
How well do you get along speaking only English? I'd like to go on a vacation to Bogota and tour around for a week or two. Thanks in advance.
GREAT VIDEO I WAS HERE 21 YEARS AGO. I SEE A LOT OF CHANGE IN THE VIDEO. I''M GOING BACK THERE THIS MONTH. DO YOU REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE DENTIST THAT DID THE TEETH CLEANING FOR $60 DOLLARS ?
Thanks, very cool and useful video. Question, did you do Crypto videos in the past?
Yes in 2017
@@IslandHopperTV Very cool, I like the transition, impressive.
Nice video overall. But a clarification on the doorknockers in the old city. Fish knockers= Fisherman. Lions=Military. Lizards=Wealthiest residents.
6:28 Columbian is from Columbia, South Carolina.
Can you recommend any local guides???
What was the exchange rate? How much were your appetizers ? The menu looked very pricey LOL
Can you share the contact info of the tour guide in the walled city?
At 5:40 does that mean you can cholera just by swimming in the ocean??
wats up with the weather? no sun?
Was it $60 for the whole mouth - cleaning and whitting?
What was the name of the dental place you visited ?
Hey buddy where did you go to get your teeth whitening in Cartagena?
What month did you go to Cartagena?
Do you remember the name of the dental 🦷 office
I would like to just ask your opinion, sir. I plan to visit. I want to stay there for at least 60 days. Could you give me an estimate what you believe? It would cost as far as hotel state or apartmaps. To see what it would cost me 2 months stay
What’s the name of the dentist office ?
What dentist did hou go to? how much did it cost
Did you buy a one way ticket to Columbia?
What’s the name of the dentist?
Is it safe?
Yes
Covid restrictions??
No COVID restrictions at all, masks are not longer mandatory.
Is this a good place to be overweight and in a speedo 24/7?
Yea
It’s Cartagena! no CartageNIA! Na, na, na! Like saying NO, tuna, sabana.
Except why do you say CARTAGENIA?? Theres no “I” in there. CARTA-GENA 🤦♀️
Great video but your pronunciation of Cartagena was killing me 🙃 It’s pronounced Carta-hena
There’s no ñ on the n please learn the correct pronunciation. ❤ thank you
He doesn't even try to pronounce spanish words correctly lmao
Cartagena not cartageña
Ew, the beach looks like the jersey shore , hard pass, definitely wouldn’t go there. I feel like San Andres would be better. I‘lll have to check it out
They have nice beaches about an hour away from here
@@IslandHopperTV really? Where ?
@@taurusnbr1 Santa Marta
Cartagenia? ITS CALLED CAR-TA-GE-NA, Usa citizen are terrible at pronouncing even their own language, they don’t even try. 😝
Never been in such an unpleasant city to visit. Harassement every 30 second to sell you junk. They don t know what no means. My fifth day here and looking forward to be back home? Four more days in this shitty place and never again again Colombia
So you’re going to do this whole video teaching us about a place - but you don’t even learn how to say the name?!!! Amazing. Cartageña. NOT!
Am leaving Cartagena tomorrow and can’t wait. I’m not sure I try to s y low key but seems I’m a target everywhere me and my girlfriend go. The street vendors are totally out of control and very aggressive even after saying no thank you they will continue to follow and harass you to buy from them. My girlfriend is Dominican and speaks the language and I’m Italian not so white looking but obviously not Colombian. The street vendors aggressive behavior even at times threatening that I would have a problem for not paying the streets or that I should pay for protection, made the whole vacation not enjoyable. I’m not even exaggerating they I couldn’t walk 10 feet without having multiple street vendors in my face or following pressuring me to buy. The few times I did decide to buy and purchase something they totally tried to screw me over as much as trying to charge me 4x the regular amount. I wish I could have experienced the experiences that many ot he es have had of Cartagena. 😢 I’m sorry but definitely not a place for tourists to travel and feel safe and have a fun time in my opinion. Maybe it’s the time mid year I came? I’m here now in October the rainy season, maybe not so many tourists so they need to try and milk every last dollar they can until the next wave of tourists come? A lot of fake friendly people only looking for money! I know this is not the true Colombian culture so I’m very upset this has happened..
