- The impostors often operate in close proximity to the designated pickup areas, capitalizing on the confusion and rush of passengers trying to get to their next destination.
That’s why before you get in the car, look at the picture of your rideshare driver. Other than that, they should bring back the shuttle vans to the hotels.
They got rid of them? Presumably it was the cheapskate hotels being exactly that... cheap. Used to be hotels bent over backwards to get you to stay there, now they act like you being there is a luxury for you, charge you a daily parking fee if you happen to stay there, charge you for having a safe in your room even though you may not use it, tack on a "resort fee" as if that shouldn't be something that is already tied to the nightly rate.
Their are private shuttle companies at the airport who takes you to the hotels
A girl who went to my college was murdered after getting in a car who she thought was an Uber. BE CAREFUL
Was she a streetwalker?
@@ericgregory9478 She was a student, the area it happened is very popular for all because of the bar scene. But it’s South Carolina so we don’t really have streetwalkers lol.

Thank you for updating us
They often will lie and say that otherwise you will get stuck. Also seen this in Asheville, NC.
GA and FL

its a good thing.
both cheaper for the rider, and more money for the driver

……you can’t trust ANYONE in Las Vegas. 🤷🏼♂️
You sooooo right ✅️
They also ppse as legal drivers with no tags on their vehicles.

Be careful, that’s all I’m gonna say.
Why are people still taking share rides at Vegas' airport? Cab rides are the same price these days, sometime they're even cheaper!
We do cabs in vegas also, safe and convenient. The drivers usually know the city better.

Not only the same price now but the cab drivers are Way faster knowing their shortcuts. I laugh when people say they think they long haul when they absolutely do not. They got plenty of places and properties to be at to pick up the next customer. Half of the rideshare drivers rely way too much on gps going a little longer way.

Was that an iPhone 4! 😮😂
Grow up, Las Vegas! In any number of big cities today, there's a train waiting outside the terminal to whisk you off to wherever!
One more reason I don’t t do rideshare

Very annoying that 99% of Uber drivers in Vegas never have a front license plate. Yes I realize it's probably "not required by law"
... and the airport needs to get it's cut of the fare, lets not forget the important stuff!

WOW, wasnt this warned YEARS AGO this would HAPPEN? 😂 I’ll never do rideshare anyways. Half of them drivers only rely on GPS and dont know the shortcuts like cab drivers do. Oh and the whole long haul driving concerns that people have from cabs are laughable because they don’t need to waste time on long hauling in this town. They got plenty of properties to be on for the next pick up.
It’s not illegal to offer someone a ride for money…

Yes it is. 706 is the base NRS. The relevant ones are 706.121 to NRS 706.126
This is exactly why I only hire a limo. It's expensive but worth every penny.

You use the app it shows you driver , license plate number and you’ve already paid on your card , plus driver has your name so why would someone decide to pay cash , then just walk out to taxis

I’m confused how someone would get scammed? Do people not look at the licence, the car, the driver, and the gps location?????? Or are people just getting in random cars and trying to pay without using the app? I don’t understand at all.
When was the word scam used you dummy?

These drivers arent dangerous they’re just trying to make money away from these greedy rideshare companies that take 70% of the fair.
So its 2016 in LV, got it

There is no safety for the drivers. These people can call themselves Pimp C, Thug nasty, and so on with no photos. People complaining about the long wait times, it's only going to get worse. Us drivers get paid very little to waste our times at the airport for little profit. The riders get charge 3 times more, while the driver gets peanuts. Why do these drivers take cash, its probably more than they will make on that ride or rides later. How about Las Vegas warns drivers of the theft going on with the rideshare apps taking 70% of the profit from the drivers. Maybe do a story about the ride shares apps robbing the drivers.

Uber Takes advantage of both customers and drivers like a starving vampire at the stroke of midnight. please. Bring taxis back a long with independent drivers that offer their services without the bloodsucking middleman .
The people they are talking about in the video are "independent drivers". Taxis suck too.

Meanwhile they go after legit drivers waiting for a legit booked ride and offer them cash to bust people but don’t go after these scammers. They rather screw legit drivers over and impound their cars instead because it’s easier and they get to say they are “doing something”

@blak3brutus229 Smart. I work as a Legal process server/investigator. Go to Harry Reid Airport a lot and came across a lot of stories about LV Metro telling me that a lot of people are acting as Uber n Lyft. It's all a scam and has become a big problem.
