It's been a while for me, but have an early breakfast and then start your drive back to L.A. Never a problem for me. On the way to Las Vegas, start early too. Before 5:00 am. I start in the San Fernando Valley and drive the 14 into the Antelope Valley, take the 138 & 18 to Victorville than it's the 15 to Las Vegas. Breakfast is at McDonald's at Barstow Station with another brief rest stop in Baker. I arrive in Las Vegas about 11:00 am. Easy peasy. No traffic.
