What do you think about Circus Circus breakfast buffet? Would you eat here?
When my daughter was little, 9 yrs old, we took her there to have fun, we bought buffet, she loved it, i barely could eat it.
Never, nope.
I'd go. It basically looks like if Denny's had buffet, down to the decore and seating. 😄
Looks like a skip for sure.
Go RUBY😊.
You have more courage than I do eating at that restaurant.👍
I'LL have some of the yellow, and don't get cheap on me
Lmao! That is 1 of my favorite lines in Vegas vacation. I'm glad somebody else recognizes great movies. Lol
@@bmwlane8834 it is a great movie,
Clark, this is all you can eat; we only need one plate.
Yummmmm, want some?
I think I'll be over by the saltines.
Las Vegas needs to bring back all the BUFFETS 😍
Most casinos used the pandemic to close the buffets. We all know the real reason ,they were tired of losing money. Cheapskate casinos 😮
There's so much good food in Vegas. Why inflict a buffet on yourself?
@SonnyDK Because it's Vegas man !!
Need? They don't NEED to do anything. It's a vacation. You vote with your feet. You all keep paying higher prices and wonder why they don't go down. Because you are paying it that's why.
@@scottrunnels3958 its vegas your are right, the city with absolute crazy restaurants so NO REASON to eat shitty buffets..
Tip on the biscuits and gravy. Open the biscuit first, then add the gravy
And don't eat them before the french toast. Granted it looked weak to begin with, but sitting there while she reviewed the B&G was a killer.
lol, have you watched her other videos? She is the LEAST qualified food reviewer in Vegas
I would say, who doesn’t split the biscuit before adding gravy(???) but I guess some ppl don’t, as she proves.
@@impoppypanda lol yep
Shout out to ruby's stomach for handling all these buffet reviews. You a real one 😄
Rip to her plumbing
I think she bad
she's looking like a buffet...if you saw her 4 yrs ago she's packed a ton of pounds on
She sure can eat a lot 😮
I noticed a bit wider sized bum wobbling into this buffet. I imagine the toilet sees a fair bit of action after she is finished consuming
$25? No way. A 5 minute drive from there to Main Street Station brunch buffet $19.95 weekdays.
Thanks for the tip. I'll be staying downtown for 5 days.
@@aheroictaxidriver3180 awesome have fun. Some of our fav eats downtown include Chicago Brewery in Four Queens and the great steakhouse upstairs at Binions if it is still there.
But it’s not circus theme that’s what the $4.05 cost more
😂@@Weasel1432
Let's remove this conversation from the platform.
Thanks Ruby and Mr Ruby, you went to the Circus Circus so we don’t have to! 😊
I dont think it is that bad. We have ALL been to worse. Whether we choose to admit it or not. The eminence front's are kind of special on here.
@@thomasallen6980no deserts? Ya it’s bad
I remember when breakfast buffet at Circus circus cost $1.00
WOW $1! How long ago was that?
I think in 1978
Think it was 9.99 in 2002 with the main dinner buffet at 19.99 But it was marketed as the value end of things
Think it was 9.99 in 2002 with the main dinner buffet at 19.99 But it was marketed as the value end if things
Looks like a free breakfast at a motel.
actually, the continental breakfast at Hampton Inn (as example) IS free and looks better than this.
No way it's never hot at the hotel
@@greggregg4852 I agree. I've stayed at Hampton Inns with co-workers for a conference a few times (because the room prices are what we're allowed for reimbursement) and we were all satisfied with their buffets.
Anyone remember the breakfast next door at westward ho?
The cheese near the loaf bread is for cheese toast. 👍
A lot of people in the south like cheese toast.
Us Brits love a cheese toastie
I thought it was for grits
2:50 “I’ve had worse” describes the whole experience
I'll make my own eggs and fried in butter potato slices that come out perfect everytime. And spend 1.50 instead of 25 plus gas .
@@musicman7297You cook breakfast at the hotel when you stay?
Had worse ? In The Clark County Jail ? In Prison ?
I was going to say@@fposmith
1 tier above hospital food in the Sysco ordering catalog
lol
Just saying, not all hospitals have bad food, I've been to some where it was gourmet tier food!!!
I love hospital food 🙊 But I think that might be because you get it served in bed and I’ve never been in the hospital for a scary reason.
It’s especially bad if you have to stay in the hospital for two or three weeks. Mayo clinic in Jacksonville has a great menu option.
7:47 That should have been the thumbmail for this video! 🤣
Lol good pull😂
My first and last time eating at the Circus Circus buffet was in 2018. A roach crawled on my arm while I was eating. I told the manager, she apologized and continued her conversation with an employee. Outta there!
Extra meat lol
Was it a Cockroach or a Sausage that grew legs?
This Circus Circus beakfast buffet reminds me when i used to stay there alot in the 90s. It was $3.99 then. I did try it pre covid when it was $19.99 with an omelet station.. again with the high inflation post covid they are trying to give you as much food as they can for a $25 price point. Southpoint garden buffet and Main street Garden buffets are a lot better for a few dollars more. Great review. Thanks 😊😊😊
Back in the days when eating in Vegas was cheap! Had a friend who lived in Vegas in the 90's and she didn't even bother to cook, because eating out was way cheaper than groceries.
Actually, The Main Street Station is $19.95 !
Ruby is helping us broke people, who cant afford to travel lol
Thanks for taking one for the team, Ruby! You rock. 💕
Thanks for doing this buffet so I and my family don't have to!
That's a free breakfast at any basic hotel anywhere in the US or even in Vegas just off The Strip. Products very obviously by Sysco. The shredded sawdust-laced cheese was for your industrial prison-food eggs.
ooooh a rare bad review!! I love how you always say something positive and never really get TOO negative. fantastic, amazing, wonderful review as always. sadly, I don't think you got that $25 back :/
Love your reviews! So glad to catch this today! Thank you!
You are one brave woman!
Yeah, She was definitely a brave soul, I personally wouldn't even set foot in the hotel these days.
She took one for the team ;)
Looks like just a bunch of frozen stuff one would get from Sysco
Yep, worked for them, classic tell tale sign. Skip it, it's a frozen product sold to cheap buffets worldwide.
Thanks for the honest and thorough review, Ruby!
It was fun to have breakfast with you two this morning! Thanks for giving CC a try. The first plate looks completely acceptable - similar to what one would find at a normal cafe in our small town. Continuing to watch...
The heyday of Circus Circus buffet was, sadly, 25-30 years ago. Lines were full and long, people WANTED to come to it, and the price and quality was hard to beat for what was on offer.
It was actually even before then. Circus circus had rooms for $17 per night for a family of 5 and the buffet was $1.99 from 1981-1987.
I ate at this buffet on my first Vegas trip. I thought it was okay. Nothing blew me away, but nothing was bad either, and everything was clean. Oh the made to order omelette was really good.
It's basically Golden Corral quality
I think Golden Corral is better, than that.
@@meccaelkins6417 Way better and they have a carving station
Ruby, you are so awesome for going back into Circus Circus and dealing with the nonsense of this place, I went into this hotel three years ago and it was my last time I'll ever set foot into this property ever again. 😒😒😒 Saying it was bad is an understatement, sorry you had to deal with all the bad food it's most appreciated that you're doing this for the team, 🙂🙂🙂 so I never have to, 😋😋😋 but on a side note I did eat at this buffet in 2009 and it was horrible so I hope that makes you feel better. 😉😉😉 Thanks anyway for the review and for what it's worth. I feel your pain we'll catch you on the next video.😋😋😋
You are so brave. Great informative videos. Thank you.
I am not surprised you gave the buffet a bad review, you didn’t like the hotel either. It is a place geared towards families with children. As a child, going to Circus Circus was a treat. I loved it.
The last time I had the CC buffet was probably 93 give or take, a few years before I moved here to Vegas in 95, and in all honesty, it looks exactly the same. The only difference I can see between then and now is the price, as I don't remember what I paid back then, but it most certainly wasn't $25. And for the time and the price, I had the same reaction, it was OK and fine for what it was, but it was also one of the cheapest buffets you could get back then(the price today, not so much).
Incredibly brave, taking one for the team, thanks Team Ruby!
Great video Ruby and Mr Ruby. Can't wait to try Circus circus. We will be in Vegas June 9th for 2 weeks. Thank you Ruby. Take care. Helena
I love that you don't walk in with any preconceived notions, which you could have in this case, given your experience with the Circus Circus dinner buffet. That review, btw, is my all-time favorite. Hall of Fame material.
I was wondering why this felt like deja vu!
Thanks for taking one for the team
Ruby, always the optimist ☺️ but I will avoid this barff-ett in my next Vegas trip. Thanks Ruby 👍🏻👍🏻 I always hit the thumbs up even before watching 🙂
Ya, that's not "maple" syrup! It's artificially flavored pancake syrup made from corn syrup. What most places serve.
They weren't shell cracked eggs either, it's some mix poured out of a container that they call "eggs", but it doesn't look or taste like real eggs.
Thank you for the Video. 30 years ago i was with my husband 4 weeks with a Mobilhome/ Van for holidays in the USA ( California, Arizona, Nevada).
We spent 3 days on the campground of the circus circus in Las Vegas.
I remember in the 80s there was an hour line and a clown theme...it was cheap then but you get what you pay for! We loved it.
I love the car being towed right in front of the hotel entrance 😅
Well done Ruby for this review you are a brave lady
Reminds me of how most buffets were, not bad not amazing as Ruby said! Thank you Ruby, your videos are always enjoyable
Go RUBY😊.
You have more courage than I do eating at that restaurant.👍
Our rural America restaurant has a full complete salad bar with all the extras including soup,All you can eat for $7.00 or One trip through large plate at $4.00 Dollars
Thank you TravelRuby. 😊
The most important note about this video is Rubys hair looks absolutely lovely. 💖
OMG I was full after the 2nd plate....LOL GREAT review! as always
I remember way, way, way back in the day when Circus Circus was not only renowned for the quality and variety of its buffets, but also its prices for them. $1.99 for breakfast, $2.99 for lunch, and $3.99 for dinner. Even factoring in the effects of inflation, they would still be bargains by today's standards.
The one in Reno had good fried chicken back then, but everything else was garbage.
What are you 90? lol
There's nothing that could get me on that property, NOTHING. They could give a free buffet and I would pass...
Their indoor amusement park is pretty great though.
Thanks for this review-wonderful of you as always! Love that your reviews are so balanced! I’m done with buffets-if the food is decent, they are super expensive and crazy busy; the low end ones are still not good enough for what they charge. One last-what do they do with all the leftover food? Unless they are finding a way to utilize the leftovers, the sheer waste of it is something I would rather not support.
Thanks Ruby! Making history, Im having breakfast today at Margarittaville before it closes forever.
That looks like the free breakfast you’d get at a Holiday Inn. That bacon doesn’t look good. Yikes. Great video, Ruby ❤
When you say, "Let's finish this up", even after basically saying it sucks, do you actually eat the rest of it?
This buffet brings back memories , in the 90s early 2000s we would stay as Circus Circus (until it went downhill) and as a kid I was always so excited to eat at this buffet … i remember thinking it was amazing …. lol 34 year old me would probably have a different reaction now.
lol..exactly!
As a restaurant owner/caterer/meals on wheels/ and the list goes on, I can tell you by looking at this food, it comes right off the truck and on your plate. Thanks, Ruby. I won't be eating there.
great review! 😃
loved your comments thanks!!!
Hey Ruby. Awesome Vegas Nostalgia 👍😻🍀. Thank you for giving it a chance & a review. I know the younger crowd likes the high end hotels. This place was total classic Vegas. Morning slot tournaments & the low limit tables. I would run across from Riviera😁. Our friends did the RV hookups in the back of Circus and would travel from Texas. 👍
Ruby taking one for the team here, what a trooper. The buffet at Circus Jerkus has been horrendous for decades, even felons out of a 20-year stint at Rikers probably find it inferior to what they were being fed there. Nowadays just as bad, just outrageously expensive for what it is.
Idk about now but me and my mom and brother.loved going there on weekends back in 2009
You are making me so hungry. I love brunch. I need toast with my eggs. Good review...fair review.
Excellent video… in my opinion the food looked kind of like IHOP pancake House. I am not cheap at all, but I will say $25. I thought it was pricey for what you had… I think a good price for this buffet would’ve been between 15 and $20 anyway as always great job Mr. and Mrs. Ruby❤
Vegas Tip. Go heavy on meats in buffet. i avoid too much carb, makes you tired on a long Vegas day.
🤣
Yep me and my husband are doing keto, so we'd definitely load up on the meat and eggs lol :D
I remember the Circus Circus “ Plate of Plenty “ buffet back when Las Vegas was reasonably priced .
Mashed potatoes are often less stiff before going on a buffet because the water will evaporate as it sits. If it goes out like we normally would eat it at home it’s gonna look like the oatmeal that you saw within about 15-20 minutes.
Ooh that thumbnail! I'm grabbing some popcorn for this! 😹
This looks absolutely delicious! The food looks good too!
Biscuits and gravy next to maple syrup is ballsy!!!
Great honest review
Wynn Buffet and Bacchanal at Caesar’s Palace are the only buffets I love. The Palms has a great lobster one…but you gotta be in the mood.
Palms has an amazing breakfast buffet!!
It actually doesn’t look too bad as buffets go . Went to the Circus Circus buffet back in 1988. Can’t remember the price back then . But I Remember the place was packed. The selection of items was phenomenal, and everything was hot and delicious
i remember $3.99 steak and eggs in Vegas. i will always wrinkle my nose at $25 anything in that town. i know everything is super expensive today but i dont have to accept it.
I am going to Las Vegas this September and staying at the ARIA what do you recommend to do there ?
Good review, Ruby. I would have filled my plate with breakfast sausage and then casually filled my pockets until the grease stains appeared. And then nibble on sausages at the craps table, getting the dice and chips all greasy. And wipe my nose a lot until I got a grease moustache. Seriously, though, good job.
cheese + tortilla + eggs + sausage 😋
I went one time in Reno and I will never go back. They had fruit cocktail that was fermented, I like my oatmeal thick but, yes I would some milk. At least the melon is fresh.
Lol, love the Nacho Libre toast clip!
Great Video The Best One Is still South-Point Buffet For Me! & No CrazyTraffic Jams!
I have been there before. I love the Slots O' Good and Plenty. Some places just bring luck so I just go there. I never have any luck at others. The hotel has alot of young hispanic families. We met a whole group of co workers and their families who worked for Cal dept. Transporation at the swimming pool. Just alot of nice people. No movie starts or goofy CZcams stars but plenty of down to earth people and their families. I like it there. The facility is tired but the people are nicer than at other places.
Stayed there 20 years ago - TO DIE FOR!!!!!
The last time that I ate the "Circus Circus" buffet, it was $3.99 for lunch! I can't imagine it being $25.00!
Ruby always with the best Vegas Buffet reviews and taking the biggest bites of anyone! 😂
Very interesting!
I am going to las vegas on my own in about two weeks, any suggestions of hotel etc.?
Awesome review, the Nacho Libre clip took me out 😂
I won a free meal at this buffet so I did breakfast. I didn’t think it was horrible but my standards are pretty low for a buffet.
I can remember in the 80s going to Reno and going to Circus Circus for their breakfast buffet with my parents and I can remember it wasn't very good
Geezus...Circus buffet room has upgraded a lot since the 70-80's pink & white school cafeteria decor...but still cattle call buffet line of food with the steel buckets...LOL.
Nice to know they still have a buffet, but $25 is way overpriced.
Wow ruby you can you can eat a lot thats great. Lots of people don't do that what you can do ❤
Didn’t eat at the buffet, but did try the steakhouse and it was fabulous.
You are a wonderful person and Vlogger
I never knew about this buffet? Oh yeah have you heard anything about the Venetian hotel renovations?
00:27 Customers must the utensils provided?
I like to open my biscuits up and put scrambled eggs on the biscuits and the pour gravy over the scrambled eggs. Yum!
Ruby what did the stomach pump at hosp cost
Bring back buffet's loving this video
If you want to get drunk and party Circus Circus is the place. Dealers bartenders and security are pretty cool if you keep it amongst your own group.
What brand is the wet dog food?
Keep it coming
