Nice, i want to know where did you hook the camera when you install in your vehicle, also what was the power source you used in your video.
Mine is installed near the license plate lights. There are various places in which the camera can be installed, but depends on the car. A few recommended locations are near the license plate, near tow bar, lower part of bumper, etc. The power source in the video is a small 12 Volt SLA battery recovered from an old UPS.

In the video you connected the unit to the power source (12v) and then manually turned the unit on by pressing power.
Would the unit have turned on by connecting the power source alone ( without pressing power) ?
Would the unit have power off by itself when you cut off the ignition /( power source) ?
So, if I got this right, the back up camera works only when the GPS/ navigation ( the soft/program) is running ...or it works as long slong the unit is on, regardless what program is running in the background?
Also how do you like the navigation software? Is is close, par, betree then a TomTom or Garmin ...I coils not see ny of this Chinese gps units in action ( real road simulation) Thank you :)

Short answer, no. If the device is turned off manually, or it's internal battery is over discharged it will shutdown completely and it will not start when connected again to power, You will need to turn it on manually. Also the sleep time of the GPS is limited to a few days after which the battery gets low and shuts down.
best look elsewhere for installation instructions also use mute if you want to watch.

I would like to know if the unit powers up automatically when you start the car, or do you have to manually turn the unit on?- ( assuming that is no power to the socket when the engine is off) .
Also, is it turning off automatically when you turn off the engine ( power) .

Hello! The GPS has two states, completely off or sleep. The sleep option can be invoked manually or by a GPS app like iGO Primo and it's triggered by lack of charging (no power to cigarette socket). The reversing feature works automatically but only when the GPS is ON.

Yes it automatically turns on.
How do you get power to the camera once you put it in the back of your vehicle and where in the back and how do you mount?
The reversing camera connects to a reversing light bulb, so when you reverse it gets power and turns on the transmitter. The camera is up to you to find a place for it as it differs a lot from car to car, mine is near the trunk handle (hatchback).
attatch it to your reverse light.. on mine it was red to green for positive and black to black for neg.

I installed this model. The GPS works pretty good. The reverse camera works but I find it does a lot of blinking. Is there any way to make that stop?

No, but you can copy the music on the device directly as it has a built in media player.
How much this cost link please. And my 06 BMW X5 has this integrated into unit...but my on board monitor is blank not sure why or how just yet....so if I were to purchase this model you displaying in video it's simply plug n play?
It would definitely not be a simple plug and play replacement for the broken unit. There are other better options for newer generation direct replacement head units. I can try to search for one if you want to.
TechTronic9000 OK I'm not after an over the top unit just one with same functions as my OEM radio navigation system is fine. We got snow yesterday n it's blistery cold outside...so I most likely won't be going out to see why it's not working properly today but I plan on it to see if I can fix it if not out it will go for another unit OEM or aftermarket...which I hope I can avoid aftermarket unit...lol I appreciate it brother...
I understand, the thing is that if you want also audio, this device is not the best choice as it has an FM transmitter to output audio and you need a working radio. Depends on the monitor, some of them have brightness adjustment, others don't.

You need to search for "igo, primo, windows ce" maps. You will still find updates available.

Dear Sir, I'm using Unicorn bike and recently the horn is not sounding when the engine is running in normal speed. But except the horn all other electronic and electrical components are working good. The battery (Exide) is about to complete 4years of age. When the engine is throttled slightly excess the horn works well. Please suggest me some possible solutions.
Maybe your generator/regulator is no longer providing sufficient charge, or the battery is completely dead.

Loredan Ilinca Sunt foarte multumit de el. In timpul configurarii traseului initial se misca acceptabil (depinde foarte mult de distanta totala a traseului), dupa acea in timpul navigarii merge perfect. Camera este pentru mersul cu spatele, GPS-ul avand si intrare video auxiliara, (comuta pe camera automat - daca este instalata / conectata).

TechTronic9000 right I understand. My opinion is more about the design. They should have incorporated that into the display/device itself. But again just my opinion on design. Your video was great.

Quite useless: just an unboxing video; doesn't show how to connect the camera 12V power to the car's reversing lights in order to activate it automically when putting the gear in reverse!
It's very easy to do that, just connect the reversing camera power wire to the reverse light bulb / switch.

Keep in mind that you are talking about a video released in 2014 ;) Second to that there are still a lot of shops that sell "dedicated" GPS units with resistive screens.
