  • Today we are doing a review and install of the MG Flasher tune for the BMW X3 M40i or any BMW with the B58 engine. This tune is very easy to install and can be done in minutes! It can give your car an extra 70 to 160 horsepower!

     I have an x3 sdrive30i 2019 from the factory, do you think I can do the same thing and it works and I don't have any kind of problems

    Do you have to keep the device in the OBD or can you take it put after the tune? And does taking it out set it back to regular

    • @ZachEgbert
      @ZachEgbert  Před měsícem

      You take the device out after tuning! If you leave it in, the car alarm will sound whenever you lock the car. I found that out from experience haha. I just keep the device in the glove box just in case I ever want to change the tune wherever I'm at!

    So I bought a jb plus last week and going to return it because it had a lot of turbo lag. Do you experience turbo lag with this tune?

    • @ZachEgbert
      @ZachEgbert  Před měsícem +2

      Only in eco mode did I ever experience some pretty noticeable lag, but that’s how the car is stock too. I didn’t have really much noticeable lag with this tune though!

    can i use mg flasher with any other obd

    • @ZachEgbert
      @ZachEgbert  Před měsícem

      The coding on the flasher wouldn’t work with any other car if you bought the tune for an X3. I’m not sure if you’re able to upload other tunes onto the same module though. You’d have to reach out to MG flasher and find out about that

      no, I'm sorry, you did misunderstand me or I didn't explain well, I bought mg flasher for my car, but I didn't have enet obd and I wanted to order it, but I didn't know if any obd works or do I have to get mg enet obd.

    I would still recommend MHD overall over this, as it has much MUCH better support and more setting options for the tune itself.

      Yea, and costs over 4 times more than this.

      MHD is 550$ & comes with Data Logging along with flashing license and all stages of the maps.

    does the tune void warranty?

    • @ZachEgbert
      @ZachEgbert  Před měsícem +1

      Not that I’m aware of! But you also can just flash the ECU back to stock before going in for service and then flash your tube back on after!

      @OfficialCompact Před měsícem +4

      @@ZachEgbertsorry but your wrong , dealerships have a flash counter and they’re system will automatically run it .once you go in for a service and they tap in to you’re Obd port they can see if you’ve previously flash tuned your car .

    • @OfficialCompact
      @OfficialCompact Před měsícem +1

      And some dealerships don’t mind it if you’re passing by for maintenance or suspension work etc..but if you blow your engine or turbo with the tune and would be delusional enough to bring it in for them to fix it under warranty they will run diagnostics to prove the tune did it then they’ll void your warranty. Unless you have a pocket mechanic that can prove else wise then you’re f*cked
