Thank you! I don’t think I turned up the burbles from stock! I did adjust the aggressiveness of the backfires. I believe I had them at 80% aggressive on this video but I turned them down to 20% just so I can not be *too* much of a menace to society. And I decreased the time between pops too, so I get more to happen in less time.
You beat me to it! haha. I just installed the VRSF catless on the wife's. Do you get a little bit of rasp at low rpms when the revs drop? Trying to determine if it's normal or if I screwed up when installing it which is very possible 😂
I have noticed a bit more rasp and sound at the low RPM’s. I kind of like it though, makes the car sound meaner while just casually driving around. And I notice a lot more turbo noise too at lower RPM.
@@ZachEgbert ah oh thanks and I agree the turbo noise is awesome! So what I found out was that I ended up swapping the nuts that go on the midpipe clamp and bracket so I stripped the bracket bolt like a real genius and that noise i hear is vibration lol 😆
does anyone know if there will be any problems if i run a vrsf downpipe and bm3 tune on a 2018 x3 m40?
That seems to be the usual route people go with these! VRSF downpipes are pretty regularly out of stock, so that’s why I went with the MRM performance one. But BM3 is a great tune!

@@Bryan-sd8rh None at all! I just make sure to keep up on all the needed servicing and it’s been dead reliable even since the tune and downpipe.
I want to do it to mine. I already did stage one running but want to change the down pipes. How much did you spend ?
My downpipe was around $190 from MRM performance!

stage 1 mhd tune u can run with a stock downpipe. stage 2 ur supposed to have upgraded downpipe and the newer hpfp
what tune did you go with? HMD??? also how many miles on your car any issues?
I went with a stage 1 MG Flasher tune! My car at the time had 98,000 miles but it now has 125k and I’ve had 0 issues. Its been flawless and reliable

@@needshift Get the 2018 then. You can’t tune 2021’s without sending the ECU off to Finland to be unlocked. But 2018 & 2019 MY cars don’t have the locked ECU and can be tuned. Mines a 2019
do you know if the 18-19 can be tuned on BM3 or HMD? did you ever look into that the 2021 i found is the color spec i wanted with only 25k miles the closest thing to the specs i wanted is a 2019 but has 70k miles and it worries me how many miles it has i know the B58 is good my girl has a a90 supra with it just dont know what to expect with those types of miles @@ZachEgbert
@@needshift My X3 has 125k miles and I’ve had no issues at all. 70k wouldn’t scare me if they’ve taken care of the car! And you can do BM3 and HMD I believe! I went with MG Flasher based on a recommendation from the tuning shop I went through! But I know a lot of people love the BM3 tune

Intake does not improve performance over stock on b58 cars, it's just for sound. You're also probably not reaching 460hp on a tune+ dp unless you're running a bit of E
I never put an intake on the car, I put a tune and downpipe. I might do an intake sometime though.
Dude/Zack- u said when u put an intake it will give u more HP/performance....FYI- It will NOT increase any thing other than sound or decrease some intake temps....that's it.
