The tractor handled that snowblower very nicely. It did not slow the engine down at all. And adding that plate was a great idea that manufacturers are just now starting to provide is a normal item. Looks like you have a great setup.

I have a GC2610. My snowblower from a prior tractor did not work well with the GC2610. So, I bought a used 60 inch Meteor snowblower this past summer. It is nice to see that your tractor easily handles the 68 inch. Thanks for the video.
I had the GC2300 with pretty much that same 60" MK Martin blower on it, and it worked exactly as shown in your video. Unless someone gets insane amounts of snow, I don't know why they'd even bother with a 48" unit. If the snow got too deep and heavy, I'd just slow down a little bit, but it was rare when I couldn't go full reverse speed in low range. Occasionally I'd switch to high range full reverse speed and it had no problem with lack of power. To the folks that say it might be hard to turn around for that long, there's a technique to basically sitting sideways on the seat, so it really isn't that bad. A cab would have been nice in my case, as I just had the open station. It's nice to have the loader AND the blower at the same time.
Exactly,first bite in fresh snow is the toughest.Then gauge the amount of blower you use after that.thats called a good operator.Even if the blower was too big,take smaller bites,simple.gauge it based on snow conditions.
i bought a used BX2350 kubota recently. it came with a 46" meteor snowblower, which is plenty for my driveway. i have yet to use it. if it throws as far as your unit it will be a beast. my tractor has 420 hours on it came with a heated curtis cab and a nice 54" mid mount mower. $8800 i paid
You can run a much bigger blower on a tractor with a Hydrostatic transmission since you can have absolute control over the feed rate vs. engine load. I had a 5ft unit on an old Kubota L245 25hp and it struggled sometimes in reverse low range, plus it wasn't a live pto so when it started bogging and you had to hit the clutch it would plug up. I ended up converting it to a hydraulic drive system and mounted it on the loader.
I don't put anti-gel in mi fuel because the gas station here receive there fuel already mix for winter and in the summer it's regular fuel.I'm using mi tractor regularly so no use for additives.
Here in Vermont, the fuel is "treated" at the pumps and is effective to around 20 - 10 degrees F depending on who you buy from. During the winter, we (I work at an equipment dealership & grew up on a small dairy farm) always add anti-gel fuel conditioner to our equipment fuel tank, delivery trucks and any diesel powered equipment that does not stay in a heated building. The risk is too great for the poorly controlled fuel at the pumps to gel up, causing inconvenience and frustration for us and our customers. Just a few ounces of diesel fuel winter conditioner goes a long way to keeping fuel flowing. Because a bottle of winter fuel conditioner is so cheap compared to a service call and / or fuel filters and downtime, it is worth adding a dose to your fuel.
I too have a meteor on the back of my bigger Massey and I would have taken another cut and taken that down spout right out. I will try that plate,, can you send me the link where you got the plate please?

So your able to control the amount of snow your giving to the snow blower that way the tractor will take it . But if you go to fast you will stop the engine. So all the folks that are use to gear transmission will say the snow blower IS TO BIB.The video was to prove that a small tractor will some time be able to run a bigger implement .

I don't know how anything can be too big. I do know that some equipment can be too small for the job.

That's absolutely backwards. A hydrostatic transmission robs much more power to the PTO than an old static drive. Not an opinion, that's fact.
