I like how Lucy uses her Pipboy's Geiger counter to determine the raider is a raider because he's radioactive.
That was such a great detail.
She is too after he dropped a load in her
does that mean she has radioactive you know what after sex?
@@horridCAM its fucking stupid is what it is; youre fuckin em and you cant tell something is off and your Geiger counter isnt making noise either? its only until After?
You think they would've recognized they weren't vault dwellers considering they live side by side. Didn't her brother literally walk over to the other vault during the festivities, if they lived that close to each other you'd think the older members would realize those people weren't from another vault.
Feels pretty rewarding getting to say "it just works," when a friend, who has no clue what Fallout is, confusingly watches someone use a stimpak to fully heal from a stab wound.
It just works was a meme for when it didn't just work
I love how the games and show are so grounded yet so amazingly insane 😂😂
@@Plight_ But that's why it's so clever to say and use that "slogan" because in a lot of way that's how the show goes. It just connects things and flows well. But also to be fair, people have said "it just works" with their games before. Yes, partly for when things don't work, but also when things due work becauae it's often created almost like with ducktape and glue and it's so surprising anything works in the games 😅
@@Plight_😂 the meme is going to be Okie Dokie🤣🤣🤣 a montage of how many times Lucy says Okie Dokie🙃
@@Plight_no it means it's *_just_* works, as in barely function
Did anyone notice that Lucy McClane is the name of John McClane's daughter in Die Hard? 'Die Hard' is a perk in Fallout Tactics which states: "You don't give up easily, when your Hit Points get below 20% you get an additional 10% to Damage Resistance".
Great catch.
Jeesh!
Wrong spelling, Lucy's last name is MacLean. It's at best a phonetic reference.
To be fair The Goul didn't "abandon" the head. They specifically make a point of it in the show, where he says that the monster digests really slow, then he says something like "the wasteland always makes you get sidetracked", cause she broke all his drugs, and so now he needs the side quest of going to get more drugs before he comes back for the main quest of the head.
Glad there's people who understood this. Cause that's like the game, you can't just go from main to main you always have to do sub quests.
@@Crimsontiger133I’m so glad other people noticed this too
well if a ghoul child can survive no food water or the Mental insanity recovery drug in a fridge for 200ish years and this is Canon in fallout lore. The mental ghoul drug is one of the worst added "plot points" to me and probably other people as well.

Lucy is the type of female main protagonist that the industry needs to thrive, she´s fun, engaging and not annoying, and this is rare as fuck these days
Whenever anyone criticizes the usual woke shallow female characters, you get the usual 'oh you just hate women' response, but Lucy is a good example of what people want. An actual decently written character, who's not forced in to represent agendas or check boxes.
@@truthisforbidden
That's also because in the very beginning, you go through a small montages where she basically lists her "build" with things like unarmed and small guns, speech etc.
But then she gets her ass kicked multiple times and never goes that far where she becomes a Mary sue.
They built her where she has some talents, but it's obvious she dumped her stats into charisma and speech over guns and other things.
So her special would probably look like 4,5,4,9,9,3
I've still seen ppl screaming that this show is "woke trash", but I think it just says more about themselves than the show 😅
I was actually worried she'd be perfect out of the box but got her ass beat, despite having been very physically fit and trained but obviously training isn't the real thing, but she has a good foundation to improve and now the opportunity or Need to use and hone her training and learn new things to survive.
It's refreshing because every show has a 120-pound female lead that throws around 200 pound plus dudes like nothing because to them its a F%$k you to the male patriarchy i guess. It's been done over and over since the late 90s.
Lucy is the type of strong female protagonist that was desperately needed in media. Unlike characters like She-Hulk and Helena Shaw (Dial of Destiny) where they’re just girlbosses with zero character development and have the urge to tell everyone how perfect they are, Lucy is a fish-out-of-water type of character that starts so innocently and elitist, and gradually adjusts to the harsh wasteland but still takes the moral high ground whenever she can
Fun fact. The empty desert town is an actual town in Namibia as well as the stranded ships on the sand. Known as skeleton beach. Those were actual locations
Fallout 3 was the game where the Brotherhood was portrayed as really good guys just trying to help everyone out. In the other games the Brotherhood is a lot more gray morally.
Even then we learn that Elder Lyons Brotherhood Chapter has had a schism because of his attempts to be good with the Outcast Brotherhood operating in DC. The Outcast are the ones you meet at the start of Operation Anchorage.
@@maxpower3990 That's true, but outside of the Operation Anchorage DLC, the Outcasts didn't really have much relevance in the game. As far as I remember, outside of a radiant quest to deliver them technology, they didn't have any actual quests in the main game.
Very grey, depending on the game. Straight up villains at some points.

Walton Goggins is one of the most underappreciated actors in the biz. Dude has crushed every role he has played from Boyd Crowder in Justified (one of the best TV villains ever) to his roles in Tarintino flicks to the cross dressing hooker in Super Troopers, it's all gold! I binged Fallout in one sitting and it blew my expectations out of the water, can't wait for season 2.
*Sons of Anarchy not Super Troopers

I still call him Shane. Underrated from the 2000s he’s had a long hard road to get where he’s got. Well deserved.
“I’m the sheriff of redrockkk”
He'll forever be Boyd Crowder for me
Titus and Maximus immediately stumbling upon the scientists camp wasn't completely coincidental. They were assigned to search -Philly- Filly for him, meaning everyone is already converging before they cross paths.
Filly, not Philly. its an excavated landfill, there was a sign. this is the west coast.
So instead of going to Filly the knight decides to stop well before that & teach Maximus a lesson for something he said & ends up dying. The whole aspect of searching for the scientist was so stupidly written. The scientist just happened to meet up with Lucy when Lucy could even have been looking for the scientist as well. The fact that the cowboys dug up the ghoul (no explanation of why he was buried & who did it & why the Radaway was used to keep him alive - who did that) just to find a scientist, how exactly would that work was he going to tag along with the cowboys to get the scientist? And the scientist leaving the enclave, how exactly would anyone other than the enclave know about him leaving maybe other than Moldaver who was clearly working with him? I mean she would know where he was, why not simply get ppl to escort him to her? The whole point of them attacking the vault to get Hank was to get the code from him & for the cold fusion tech in the scientists head & yet they leave it to chance the scientist may survive on his won with the dog in the wasteland & do it all on foot?
@@triax7006
"well before".. a few miles away.
Why can't Lucy and the scientist cross paths early? I don't get your point.
Did we need to know _exactly_ why someone might lock up a notorious and extremely dangerous Ghoul for later use?
What do you mean how would that work? Recruiting extra muscle on a highly contested bounty is not a hard to grasp concept.
Info on the Enclave facility is thin. As we don't know who is monitoring / communicating with the Enclave, why assume that no-one else would know of the escape?
No one expected dogmeat to kill a guy, forcing the scientist to flee immediately. Maybe he was going to sneak out and be halfway to Moldaver before anyone noticed, maybe she was planning an escort...
Nah Lucy meeting the acientist makes perfect sense. Dont look at it like they are seperate characters with seperate goals, its telling the story about how these guys interact.

That turret accuracy was 100% lore accurate.
the turret had a display saying "do not panic" and it wasn't joking
The Dr. and 404 had really high agility and luck and at least 2 points in moving target perk
@@edgarbriseno6210 Close but nah fam; hardcore FO4 players will understand that those stinkin' turrets have Stormtrooper aim, that's a nod to the players!
Yeah awful writing and dialogue that can hide behind the cloak of "video game logic"
@@Scarz3ny Don't know why "dialogue" was brought up for a scene that has little to none in it, but ok. And if you don't want to accept the turret missing as a nod to the games, that's also fine. However, it is a thing that those turrets are notorious for just throwing copious amounts of rounds at the player to make the fraction that hit make the player feel in danger.
Early on when the player has little armor and little health those turrets are a threat. Later in the game when you can take a lot more hits, its almost comical how much you need to get hit for those turrets to do any significant damage to the player. So the turret missing ALL its shots in the show against the doctor with no armor is definitely a stretch for plot convenience, but it is an accurate comparison to the games.
Well, there are 4 story lines. Lucy, Maximus, The Ghoul and the Vault. The vault might be a secondary one, but it becomes more important later.
The way they all cross and come together was really ssatisfying
Robert house in new Vegas?
Norman is definitely my favorite character. He is the only normal person in that vault of weirdos
@Milton2k so you're saying when it comes to the story, it's '4 times the detail'?
nah all three storylines have an A and B plot. lucy and her brother/vault stuff, ghoul and his prewar wife/life, then Maximus and his buddy
As he was drowning the raider in the pickle barrel, I couldn't help but chide him. I was like "Damn't Hank, you ruined the whole barrel! You can't afford that kind of food wastage when you're living in a Vault!"
I laughed so hard and I’m like “you just wasted all those pickles” lmao
He's a part of the limitless food vault (33), but I do feel this could work in the limited food vault (32).
@@gunargundarson1626 well that was a shitty spoiler to get as I’m finishing episode 7
Hank was accommodating him cuz the raider had a pickle fetish
@@thehorrorhound6575Same. Sucks people can't just shut the fuck up or keep spoilers to a minimum. Guess also my fault for reading the comments trying to see if the show really is worth watching.
Anyone else notice that maximus came out of the fridge like the ghoul kid in fallout 4
I like to think they're poking fun at Crystal Skull.
That's a great observation. I didn't connect that.
That's exactly what I thought!!😂
The kid you could choose to sell for some caps 😂😂😂
The scientist dodged all the turret's bullets cuz he went hard into the Luck stat
Not even that, the turrets (at least in Fallout 4) are notorious for having the stormtrooper esc aim. Now not landing a single shot against the doctor while he's wearing zero armor is definitely a stretch, but the games do have the turrets shooting copious rounds at the player for the shear chance that even 10-20% land and damage the player. Which seems more dangerous at the beginning with little health and armor, but becomes almost comedic later in the game when the turrets need to land a bunch of shots to do significant damage and the player realizing just how many total shots need to be taken in order to do so.
She didn't fully understand why Cooper killed the ghoul. She's never seen a feral. She just thought he was a dick. This is where she learns what feral ghouls are. This is great writing.
a huge part of the series seems to be moral development but at different aspects - we get lucy who is obviously an ignorant vault dweller but maximus is also equally ignorant just more morally flexible

The way Lucy said "okey-dokey" towards the end. Her tone and overall demeanor changed. Just as her character evolved throughout S1. Brilliant way to show character growth by a mere response.
My favorite part was when Fallout Gurl said "I'm gonna fallout" and then fallouted

i'm the gamer but had to stop my wife from bingeing the entire thing.
I wish I could get that feeling from the halo show 😔
Ghoul is literally us players getting sidetracked to side quest 😅
"The wasteland has its own Golden Rule."
"Oh yeah?! And what's that?"
"Thou shalt get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time."
The Ghoul is essentially a Max Level Character. He’s already seen just about everything and is considered a legend after gunslinging through the Wasteland for over 200 years.
@@MrJH101 That's how I saw it, each protagonist is meant to be a different archetype of Fallout players. Lucy is the good karma level 1 character fresh out of the vault, Max is the neutral karma character at level 10-20, and then the Ghoul is obviously level 50 evil karma.
Maximus is every player who joined the brotherhood just to get the armour 😂
That quote had me dead lol
I love how the first scenes with Lucy are almost like a character select where you choose the science, communication, charisma etc stats in the game.

I mean it wasn’t perfect but was still extremely good 8/10 for me only drops in scores mostly because of the fact they killed the NCR offscreen which bummed me out as I was excited to see them but it didn’t completely ruin the show for me personally and some other things at the end that I won’t reveal for spoiler purposes that I was like eh did we have to go that direction but otherwise entertaining start to finish definitely better than halo despite some lore inaccuracies here and there with how the brotherhood acts and things with the ghouls it was still light years more accurate than the halo fanfic

“You want to make my dick explode now?”
That ending did that to me haha
Maximus dropping the gun during the fight with the Ghoul actually happened because the gun got shot out of his hand, which you can do in the games through V.A.T.S. by aiming at a person's weapon.
I imagine at first glance, the usual suspects would glance at Lucy without watching the show and go “wow, looks like Amazon is going woke once again,” but 1.) you’ve always had the choice to be a female protagonist in Fallout and 2.) she’s done very well from what I’ve seen so far. She’s not someone who’s immediately perfect like other Amazon shows. Hell, she’s far from it. She’s extremely endearing and friendly, but also horribly underprepared for what’s out in the wasteland with what she’s been taught in the vault. Like the guy with the glasses said, she needs to adapt if she’s gonna survive and so far, that’s what she’s slowly doing as she is exposed more to the wasteland.
I’ll reserve my full judgement for when I watch all of the show, but Lucy is a very engaging protagonist alongside Maximus’ brotherhood story and the Ghoul’s badassery.
Oh come on let's not act like that hasn't happened more often than not. The "usual suspects" are batting about .900 compared to you 😂

Same, the build up to that moment and how well the show portrayed the game’s environment and tone.. I clapped at that line. So well done
I loved the first four episodes, _except_ for two things:
The slapstick moments in Episode 2 with the power armour flying around (absolutely crigeworthy), and the fact that the quick cut to the Brotherhood was done too early.
I think that we, as an audience, needed to see the Wasteland as a step-out moment, like in the games. By cutting to the Brotherhood before Lucy leaves the vault, it takes away from that.
But apart from that, I think it's really good! Some great little Easter eggs and set dressing too.
Agreed that moment with the power armour was the low point for me.
Walter Goggins is a national treasure. Also, I'm hyped for 40k on Amazon given how they handled big, live action power armor so similar to Space Marine armour.

What I loved about the show is how each storyline is so fleshed out. At first I thought Norman the brother would be this side screen character that only exists to prop up how brave Lucy is. Then she leaves and he gets an actual storyline, that came around to be my favorite in the vault and was so tense the entire time. Lucy, Ghoul are amazing. Maximus may be the only weak character, just feels like hes often just standing there saying nothing as things happen to him. But the show is still super good cant wait for the next season.
The last episode made me laugh because Maximus has the same basic expression when he’s unconscious as when he’s awake. Most of the time his face is completely immobile.
He's thee only thing I don't like about the series. Oh wait... The Michael Rappaport thing as well. So those are the TWO things.
Honestly Norm is my favourite character. The actor is fucking amazing, acting just with facial expressions.
Yeah, not sure if the Maximus actor was miscast or if he was told not to emote for some reason, but I did not care about him at all. The Brotherhood itself is a fine storyline, but Maximus needs to get more interesting next season.
I think this series easily just took the entire Fallout universe straight to the cinematic screen. I had really high hopes with very low expectations starting it, and I was absolutely blown away. The distances they went had me literally guessing what's next. After finishing the series, I can honestly say that the worst part of the show was that it ended, and the next season is going to feel like it will take forever to get here.
No. It took fallout 4 only and did that. It's got nothing to do with New Vegas, Fallout 1 or Fallout 2.
@kinagrill Yeah, because it didn't have anything to do with the NCR, Shady Sands, California, or the ending scene wasn't New Vegas. You should probably go re-watch the show.
@@kinagrill I thought Fallout 4 was set in Boston on the east coast, while the show is in LA on the west coast.
I will say, I find it fascinating how the dog was used to humanize characters. For example we first see the ghoul injure the dog, reinforcing the impression that he is a bad person, yet after the shootout in Filly, he takes the time to heal the dog. Even if part of it is for the bounty, there most likely is some hint of humanity within the husk that remains after the bombs
You could take it that way... or... maybe he did it because he realized the dog was the best way to find it's owner.
(However, we get more clues he loves dogs later in the series.).
Its a very well known and well worn trope in fiction - wanna show a bad guy is a bad guy - have them kick a dog, wanna show a good guy is a good guy - have him be nice to the dog.

I feel like the auto turret that misses is because the dog is special. Has like Capt America juice in her makes the right moves at the correct time.
The only little flaw imo. Sure, the turret might be a little inaccurate but spewing that much lead and hitting everywhere but them?, c'mon, even a stormtrooper isn't that bad!.

It’s because their Luck is at 10 😂
Being a 90's kid I don't know if I should be excited or afraid for the next phase of Hollywood in video game adaptations but this brings me some hope.
I would have been hilarious if Lucy tried to take as much as she could from the supermarket put it all in a giant backback and became encumbered. And had to put the backback down and take some stuff out so she could move normally again.
Missed opportunity for sure😂but the Squire bags was definitely a reference for that
People said Walter Goggins would carry the show. I'm so happy that is not the case, almost everything about the show is interesting and fun to watch.
Let's be honest though. Even if he doesn't have to carry it, his performance is definitely elevating it. I mean, dude is putting in the work, some of his best, and his best is better than most. Like, he's been building a fan base, acting in great roles in shows like Justified and movies like Hateful 8, but this is the show that could really catapult him into the stratosphere and make him a household name. If the ratings are there, and it feels like they might be. The irony of him playing a down on his luck actor when he's anything but. And he said it too, he's hoping for ten seasons. I hope his dreams come true, because I want to see where his character's story is going more than any other character.
He’s definitely one of the stronger characters but everyone was good across the board. Him, Lucy, and Maximus were all interesting in their own rights, hell even Norm

The fact he plays the Mr Handy Voice actor and his last name is Codsworth was so good. Even explaining that Robco bought the rights to his voice from another company entirely is peak fallout.

The scene with Titus and the bear I thought was funny but really contrived. This experienced knight didn't pop some shots off and would rather stand there swearing and running after clearly being able to punch the bear off him? Behavior in service to the plot is what that was. Love the rest of the show though! Binged it the day it came out lol.
It fits with with bos. They are known for heavy mission failures due to their actions. They can still be killed in lower armor. Lol they are literally littered around the wastelands.
It's a reference to how you can build those turrets at your settlement and they barely ever hit anything even though they are firing off hundreds of 5.56 rounds.
Amazon has also done a great job adapting the works of Philip K Dick, with both shows electric dreams and particularly the Man in the high Castle, which is one of my favorite shows

The first two seasons of MITHC were amazing. However when the nazis decided to experiment with multi dimensional domination, thats where it went downhill for me. I am guessing that was part of the source material too
I was there for the first episode filming of Man in the High Castle. That episode was actually filmed at a dive bar in Seattle called the Quarter Lounge. I used to live right across the street. Random useless fact, but it was cool to see my local bar in the show.

No it's called a plot device that maximus conveniently never explains to anyone is the reason why titus was nearly killed, considering it is a feared enemy in the franchise. His fxn proof was the marks on the damn armor.
All he needed to do was say he got separated from titus during the attack and arrived too late to "save him." No one would've second-guessed him.
@@jprec5174 Or maybe, just maybe, everyone knew Titus was a shit bag Knight, and no one batted an eye because he died like how the Elder guessed a coward like him would've died. Maximus played into the elders whole "Brotherhood going to shit," rant, and sprinkled a little truth and that was that

1:26:24 I would disagree. Lucy is very naive. She just saw Cooper friend losing it, but she didn't know that they go crazy and attack, or eat people.
1:28:51 Well you have to look at it from his perspective. He's always been scourging for the drugs, and felt defensive about it. Probably would've hide some in his hat, and taken the box.
I took it that he had gotten high and was doing high things.
I like the character development and what each main protagonist represents
Lucy: Despite what we are being told as kids or at school, being an altruist will more often than not hurt You.
Maximus: Being an egoist sometimes is simply the best option. Also, sometimes being open about something may be your doom.
Cooper: Being an ass may work, as some are just not suited for being part of team. But sooner or later you will find yourself in a situation completely out of your control and you will have to rely on good will of someone else.
Basically this world feels... real. Its not black and white. No character is completely good or bad. Sometimes you might think you are doing a good thing, while actually you are just destroying something.
If only halo was given this treatment but amazon doing a good job on this gives me a little more confidence that amazon could handle there rumoured mass effect show
And their WH40k project. The power armor suit tech is going to come in pretty fucking handy in there.

No way the moldy helmet is back lol
With the gulper turning inside out:
I think the fingers go all the way down the throat, but they don’t bend backward. When Maximus is pulling the squire out you see the fingers straining, caught on the squires clothes. Maximus braces his foot on the anchor, and tugs. The fingers cause the gut to get turned inside out.
Lucy's eyes seem like they take up 80% of her face but she is still so beautiful and adorable. Her eyes for some reason fit the fallout games lol

Currently 4 episodes in. I love it. I have a few minor gripes but nothing to dwell on.
I like how Lucy is changing throughout the season, each new episode she gets darker and darker.
There was a little jump to her darkness at the end of episode 4, like out of no where she uses the F word and now she looks different when it comes to her attire. But at the same time she had her most frightening moments in that episode and maybe that’s enough for her to change and walk on her own.
best part of the show was hands down, rapaport kicking the bucket, in a situation he should've aced. we see just one scene later how much more powerful the armor makes you. that yao was one optimal deck away from sleeping again, and the rapa couldn't even do that.

Its up there with The Boys in my opinion for Amazon. Main cast is amazing and they nailed the world feel of Fallout. This has to be such a bizarre watch for someone whos never heard of Fallout lol. Some people complaing about DEI but it didnt feel forced for the most part or saying lore wise this group wouldnt accept this person etc. Also i count Norm as a main character, hes not really likeable in the first episodes when it cuts to his story but his later episode cuts are great and he grows. Lucy, Max and Norm all have well done story growth. Totally on board for season 2.
There will always be idiots crying woke etc. The grand majority, Nerdrotic and his braindead followers particularly, are just doing it for hate clicks. Saw literally nothing remotely like that in this show.
They didn't go heavy handed with the DEI like I feared, thank goodness. It does rear it's ugly head, but not enough to ruin the show in any significant degree. Honestly, Maximus' lame character was the only real issue I had with the show.
The only negatives I've seen people bring up and what I was referring to is Maximus's friend Dane being in the brotherhood. Played by a trans actor, trans man to be specific and people are debating if the brotherhood would be ok with it lore wise. I wasn't feeling Maximus for a few episodes minus some funny moments with the armor and I couldn't figure out why. Then when they get to vault 4 I realized what I don't like is he has resting dumb face. When he's not acting or speaking he just looks bored or like he's not listening or thinking about something else. I like his character by the end, but man the plot did him no favors by acting like a moron over good food or him trying to punch someone in power armor while having a gun in his other hand. I can see how he's most peoples least favorite of the three.
@KevinKeys-KK you're spot on about Maximus' constantly bland expression. His extremely unfitting nerdy voice also didn't help. All in all, he's the furthest thing away when I think of Brotherhood of Steel squire or knight, at least when I consider the way he behaves along with his expression. He'd probably make a good scribe.
Cooper said gulpers digestion is slow and the chems take precedence plus he drops my favorite line while doing it
“Thou shall get sidetracked by bullshit every goddamn time”
Very disappointed they didn't have Ron Perlman do the line or have any sort of cameo.
Joe when the Ghoul abandons the head seemingly kinda fast, he does say he's "got time, gulpers digest really slowly" so him getting more drugs to not turn feral is more important. Especially cuz they hinted that since he one of the oldest known ghouls in the area maybe he can turn quicker without em. (Even though in the games there's plenty of "pre-war" aged ghouls, and the drug doesn't exist)
Absolutely it is a good show it has it's bad moments but it's still good, I recommend watching it. 8.5/10
The pacing had problems but that’s the only problem I could see
@@firstlast9846that is definitely the major problem
A very fair score actually. I'm going with the same.
I think the bad moments are when the main characters out of nowhere, run into each other at a moment notice. Especially if any of the characters are in danger the other one is right there in time. This has been a cliche in shows and movies for years now, and it’s bad writing ✍️ in parts. But the overall story for this show was good. I say the world building, and some standout characters saved this show for me. Including that dark ending twist. I love the direction and can’t wait for season 2.
@@supertrendymoneymaker0722in fallout that Preston garvey
@AngryJoeShow - Well to the "Well this isn't Fallout" some people might say - I only have 1 thing to say: Fallout isn't Fallout! There is a fairly large tonal difference between Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 - and then just an entire revamp of Fallout in Fallout 3. Sure a lot of the lore from 1 and 2 is referenced - however the tone, the humor, the way you interact with the world etc. - changed. Moving on to Fallout NV - again - sorta the same - sorta not. Then Fallout 4 - again - different tone, different feel... and don't even get me started on Fallout 76! This is probably as good of an adaptation as we've had in a LONG time - like 20 years! It's not perfect - sure - but it's like 80% of what I wanted. There are some meh castings/characters which are a bit jarring... Why is Maximus basically the same character as Finn from Star Wars? No really - he is such a weird character! He has been in the Brotherhood/military since he was a small boy - how come he is that... uhm... shaky as a character? It's stupid really - because they could have made him a Brotherhood version of Preston Garvey instead - and he would have felt right at home. Apparently he needs to be weak and "find himself" - instead of what he should have been: a badass with a conscience/heart of gold/something like that... which I'm sure the actor could have handled because he seem pretty good - just not for the way that role is. The Brotherhood is nothing if not critical of who they allow to be in their army - so why would they EVER consider someone with that flaky of a character? I won't even go into his friend. It's not about who the person is - it's just how badly they fit into that exact role and how fairly poorly they act the role.
And before anyone labels me a "toxic gamer" - I actually have grown to love Lucy/Ella - and I think Sarita did an AMAZING job along with Frances! I love what happens with both those characters - literally ...... no I should stop - don't want to spoil anything here... The ending of episode 8 is pretty damn amazing - let me just say that! I don't mind having a transsexual in the series - but the person simply doesn't fit into that specific role. In fact there is a specific place where this person could have fit into PERFECTLY - and could actually have "tagged along" (again - don't want to spoil - so - the place with the "chute" - there that's obscure enough I think 😀) and had a larger role along with it as well! The person is not the issue - the casting is!
When you think about it Maximus is no different to any other player character: joining the brotherhood to get your hands in that sweet armour.
But, unlike the player character and for writing reasons they see through him. There’s a reason he’s the one that digs latrines.

Very good point comparing the Last of Us with the Fallout show. Last of Us's storyline is pretty straightforward, a zombie survival while Fallout's universe is much more diverse. Must be challenging for the writers of the Fallout show to somehow incorporate everything.
when they start introducing the Vault storyline i really like the foreshadowing that Betty says to Norm about when regular boys get angry they piss on the walls and when clever boys get angry thats something for everyone to be worried about"" - like Norm has a really smart family, dad is the overseer and runs the place (reliable, trustworthy all that stuff) and Lucy is like a jack of all trades (that we see in her intro) and brave enough to look for their dad so im hoping they give Norm a really good story line
Im really confused about the NCR is the size of the NCR retconed down to just shady sands?
Lead farmers are walking around in Ranger veteran armor? The toughest soldiers in the NCR
Maybe the NCR pulled everything they left in the area around Shady Sands and moved to the boneyard, Hub, or Vault city or any other settlement?
I really like season 1 but everything could definitely collapse in season 2
Definitely interested in seeing how Mr House is handled
This brotherhood has to be the east moving back west too
i don't think so, the poster thing said shady sands the first capital of the ncr, which implies there are other capitals. the lead farmer probably used to be an ncr ranger, the ghoul implies he was shot by him in the past
Did the sign by anychance said the first capital as in it not the capital anymore.
I sure hope the NCR comes back alive and kicking. It will truly suck if the NCR is just a crumbling country.
