- Wood turning a resin and wood lidded vessel, or a box, or even a pot. WHATEVER you call it, it ends turning out AWESOME. Wood turning - Resin turning my FIRE pot that is cedar cast in Totalboat Resin with a variety of colors to simulate fire for the January 2021 woodturning challenge know as the "CZcams Cross Channel Challenge 2021" or #ytccc2021 that will have a new theme to continue to challenge wood turners each month. This is not a woodturning or resin turning "how to" video on wood turning a lidded box or woodturning a pot because this is only my second time to turn a box or lidded vessel. This video is just my journey of making this cedar wood and resin pot that shows mistakes I made and also a few wood turing / epoxy resin turning tips and tools I use. I also show how well my homemade extra fine sanding paste (abrasive paste) works on hybrid wood and resin wood turning projects. There will be a link to the sanding paste and my Tung Wax finish down below that will take you to my Etsy Shop if you are interested in either of these all natural, food safe wood finishes. Your camel is very camouflaged. He may need a little bright hat or bandana. However, it was a nice touch to have him there in the end with that smokin box

Very nice Brad! I’ve found there isn’t really a wrong way to turn a box, maybe different than others but if it’s got a lid and hollow and looks like a box... you did it right! Nice work, beautiful color swirl, what more can someone ask for!

On some boxes I've made the fit to loose so I added some super glue tighten it up. Works.

There are some people that do that with little toys. It can be cool sometimes. I thought about doing a 10mm socket as a "break in case of emergency" type thing
