- I made a HUGE epoxy river lazy susan for a client out of spalted pecan and epoxy resin. It turned out AMAZING so I figured I would share my woodworking process with you guys. Along the way I also will share woodworking tips and tricks as well as any epoxy resin tips and tricks that I came across during this project. This is a little above DIYer or a beginner level project but if you have some basic woodworking experience, basic epoxy resin experience, and a creative mind then most should be able to complete this woodworking project fairly easy. The epoxy resin used in this epoxy rivier lazy susan was supplied by Total Boat and was their Total Boat thick set resin for the river and Total Boat Table Top resin for the finish. Both resins worked perfectly in this project and are an invaluable addition to any woodworking or woodturning shop. Ok, that should be enough of a description for you to get the idea. Lazy susan is in my list of things to do - have a few curly maple ones from back in the day and the bearings are just crap. The nice ones are pretty pricy but for a nice piece like this it might be worth spending a little extra to get a super smooth and quiet bearing. We’ll see how it goes! Looks great, sure the client is going to love it!
I agree, they are much more sleek. The way I look at it, if someone wants a cheap lazy susan they can go to amazon. I actually already got an order for another 👍 cant wait see urs. Curly maple would look great as it spins and catches different light
