The wires rubbing against the frame is because the drag chain is too far forward on the Y axis (go to 3:02 and zoom in). The rubbing cable that comes out of the end needs to bend back to connect. It can't bend back with enough slack to keep it out of the way of the fame when tied to the side of the upright. Unsnap a couple of bars (not the entire link) from the top of the Y drag chain to release a little more cable. This will let you wire tie it to the back of the upright instead of the side. The video on the SD card shows the cable tied to the back not the side. The cable doesn't get in the way of the limit switch when tied this way (tested).
Thanks for the video. Very informative.mine is still in the box I haven't had time to put it together.
Fantastic vid! Always enjoy watching your reviews.
me too!😛
Thanks! Much appreciated!
Hello and great video , i have been researching hobby cnc(do not own one ) . Another option is painters tape on spoil board ,and piece on underneath of work piece with super glue betwen them .
For the gap where the wire get caught, maybe fixing brush hairs along it to keep the dust out ?
Looks like you may want to get a flat faced endmill and a ball nose end mill to clean up the operations with a finishing passes (meaning set up your main cut just short of the final pass finishing depth and take a shallow clean final pass). The ball nose will smooth out the rounded areas and the flat end mill and a finishing pass (maybe a .10 or .25mm) will clean up the rough flat zones. Fusion 360 free hobbiest version is still the best CNC software. But there's a learning curve. At least until they make it a paid software.
I’m new to CNC and just ordered this model. I was going to ask if different bit would make the end product better. You have answered my question thank you.
I should do a trial run on the TTC450 CNC machine, the text that should be engraved. However, I have a problem when I let the machine do the process. It does not actually touch the bottom of the tree on which it is supposed to work, although I went to the Z test several times to adjust the height, however, the machine does not work correctly for me, it works non-stop in the air and non-stop returns up instead of down. How can I regulate so that this does not happen to me, so that it starts working normally. I don't know if it's not a problem in the Candle settings. I use machine dimensions 460x460.
Hi, I'm also a total rookie. In Carveco, what did you select for your Machine File Format? There are plenty of different printers, but nothing I can find related to the TTC450. Thanks!

Just found you tonight, but good video. The left side cover ! I removed about 10mm along that opening and the cable is no longer rubbing. Also the new upgrade kit is here just waiting for TwoTrees to give me the "go ahead" and show off the new 500watt motor etc...
Thanks for finding me 👍. That 500w motor along with dust collector will make this one amazing CNC!
I think the spindle was rather small, but this new one looks like a beast. 😃
I purchased this because of your video!
Much appreciated! Hope you enjoy it 👍
Can it cut through 2-3 mm of ABS plastic?
I clicked on your link, but I cannot see if i get the probe if I get the one with the machine and the 500W motor.
I really want to have to probe if I is to buy it.
Looks like a good machine fro the price. I only have one workspace and my 4 3D printers fill it, plus they make a big enough mess already.
Definitely needs the dust collector. It does take up a decent amount of space, and looking in my garage for placement. Thanks for watching bud! There was a Bear sighting 😉
Can this cnc print to cut?
can't (home) the machine. follow the directions exactly after spending 5 hours putting it together. tells me to "please unlock" homing failed....junk?
The only thing you didn't cover is what materials it can cut. Ok it can do wood. What about plastics and metals?
I wouldn't suggest using this CNC for metals. When milling metals it is suggested to use cutting fluids (cutting oil, cutting compound, or lubricant). It can engrave softer aluminum, plastics and wood using the correct end mills.
can you try cutting aluminium
James Dean has 0 videos on how to set up the TTC 450. General CNC info, yes. Two Trees specific - no. Ain't got time for that.
You are 100% correct, he has no content for the Two Trees 450. Only used him as a reference for the software side.
Cool. Almost affordable.
Yes, more affordable than an X-Carve 😆
That sign took 10hrs? 😅
Yeah 10hrs. The spindle doesn't have the horse power or the RPM's to push if faster.
@@TripodsGarage then a no go for me 😅 thanks for the heads up
@@ronsone8373 Yeah, isn’t for everyone. They do offer an upgraded spindle.
Even as a hobbyist, I don't think there is a way to sell this machine without the 500 W spindle. With the factory spindle, this machine is more like a Fisher Price product. Its built is sturdy and robust, it can easily handle the more powerful spindle. There's some good engineering but the communication and information "strategy" from the manufacturer are terrible. Between the setup instructions, the cable drag on the left side, the screws coming loose and having to undo everything, the mistakes for installing the firmware (having to remove Chinese characters), the user is left guessing WAY too often. @@TripodsGarage
Nice content!!!
Thanks! Much appreciated!
I purchased recently a two trees ttc 450, im getting a error code ¨ hard limit ok¨´ on the screen, i tried to disconnet power several times n still the same error on the screen, is there something i can do?
So dope! Greatly appreciate my friend, Tripods. We are honored that you enjoyed our product! Thanks for sharing your experience with your followers! and welcome all friends to follow Tripods and TwoTrees, we hope we can grow together and become better
Thanks for the kind words!
@@TripodsGarage can't wait to see your more wondrous works
Can't wait to see more videos on how to deal with screws coming loose and how to handle the dragging wires. I bought the machine 3 months ago and am facing having to disassemble it entirely again.@@Twotrees3Dofficial
