Out of curiosity do you know if Kitchener Ford has a 40A (or higher) L2 charger? I'm having a weird issue where above 32A on a L2, charging fails. I had a loaner Lightning which charged fine at 40A so I'm pretty sure it's the car. The problem is neither Ford dealerships close to me have higher powered L2 EVSEs to be able to troubleshoot & test. Kitchener is an hour away so I'm willing to go if they are as good as you say. Thanks!

From what I can remember (in my somewhat frantic state) Kitchener Ford had two Level 2 Chargers: one for sure was a Ford Connected charge station (48 amps) and the other I believe was a Ford Pro Charger, which is either 48 amp or 80 amp. I have never had a service better than Kitchener Ford. I promise I am not sponsored by them. Talk to Andrew Cook, who is the EV Guru. He will be able to confirm what they have installed for chargers. Let him know that Matt suggested Kitchener Ford, if you can, and maybe mention the video. Please subscribe if you haven't already and keep me updated on your issue. Thanks for the question and for watching!

This is why the dealer network is still needed moving forward. Many smaller cities and towns have no Tesla mechanic options but do have a legacy dealership.

sounds like you'll be fixing that every xx,xxx km/miles. unless they redesign the pin.

See folks, with ICE vehicles you never have to constantly worry about charging, right ? It only takes me 10 minutes to fill up my tank and way I go, worry free. And I get thousands of gas stations serving me!! Old school is again- better. Good luck!

Unfortunately I have to drive 120km each day to put a roof over my family and food on the table. Spending $400-600/month on gas was not working for me. Not trying to save the earth, just trying to save my wallet. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

Or, get rid of it, buy a Tesla!

I purchased a Mach E because the (2) deposits we had put on (2) Ioniq 5's had sat there for 8 months with no word on when it would be delivered. I would have bought a Tesla but the closest dealership is 2 hours away. The problem is the 12v battery that Ford chose to install on these vehicles. I've seen bigger on riding mowers. It's a well known issue. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

@@MoreBear because, Ford service dudes found and solved your error. How will one know , that the charge pin is bent and this is the reason that the charging is not starting. I came to this video , to be able to see the probable causes , one as a driver can look for in their mach e, on their own.
