It should look stunning when you've splashed it ,i would be a bit worried about knocking back the primer too 1200's then basecoat ie the mechanical grip . The finest i normally go is 800's when using solvent , also putting graphics on and peeling tape off god forbid the paint doesn't peel off . If you've done it before with no issues then theres nothing too worry about 👍👍👍👍

na 1200 will be fine, we sometimes prep to 3000 for super fine metallic silvers. 800 is ok for direct gloss
