  • I love Meatballs. I love smoking Meatballs on my Electric Smoker. And I love making my own Pasta Sauce. In this video, I do it all, and the result is a classic Spaghetti and Meatballs dish that is delicious and satisfying with the wonderful addition of smokiness from using Red Oak wood chips.

1 TBSP Sundried Tomatoes diced and soaked in 1 tsp Olive Oil
    1 tsp Pepper
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Italian Seasoning
    1 tsp Minced Garlic
    1 egg
    Pasta Sauce Ingredients
    2 tsp Minced Garlic
    28 oz Crushed Romatoes
    14 oz Pureed Tomatoes
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1/2 tsp Pepper
    1 TBSP Italian Seasoning
    1 tsp Dried Basil
    1 tsp Dried Oregano
    Oilive Oil for sauteeing garlic

I really APPRECIATE IMMENSELY that you put the recipes down in the descriptions and I don't have to be chasing websites.... thank you!
I always add a form of sausage to my ground beef and sometimes different cheese like smoked garlic, horseradish etc.
I have a favorite dinner I go to when on the East coast. He grinds two different cut's with sausage and I've done it ever since that first bite many moon's ago.
tidbit: I did a Wellington on a Charbroil SRG using walnut and pecan shell's/wood.... truly amazing.
Merry Christmas to you and yours'!
and a Merry Christmas to ALL

Ry, I like the change in video from hardcore smoking to a nice elegant dish you can make for the family on a Saturday night! Love the idea too around the holidays. Coming from a deep Italian heritage seeing meatballs done this way and paired with a simple great homemade sauce is great! I hope you and your family are enjoying this holiday season! Keep me coming!

My mom rolled them in bread crumbs then fried them. Sounds strange, however, it’s a surprisingly good way to meld meatballs with sauce. Have never ever seen anyone else do that.

I've seen a couple people over the years roll them in bread crumbs and fry them :)

I ingredient them as you did, but with more eggs and crumbs, using Worcestershire to adjust moisture. Usually roast them on a wire rack. I like the smoking idea a lot, but would plan to smoke other meats or fish at the same time. Watching you eat them made me really hungry. Damn!
As a teenager, I worked in a German butcher shop. Highlight of my time there was when smoked meats arrived from a smokehouse and were hung on meat hooks above the counter to finish dripping. Sensational aroma!

I have a great meatball recipe but never thought about smoking them. Holy cow that looks good. Try a couple spoonfuls of green jar pesto in the meatballs. Game changer

I know exactly what you mean when you say it feels good when it tastes exactly as expected :).better than just the good taste haha. Haven't tried the meatballs - definitely will - but I have done some chuck roast and then cut it into cubes and added some to a beef stew or soup and the smokiness it adds is truly amazing. Love your channel, keep it up!

Just thought about something. If you took some Roma tomatoes and roasted (grilled) them to add to your sauce it will punch up the flavor. You know, like you do making the roasted salsa! Lol... And it's things like this that wake me up at 4 am.
