A tip for putting rings in for gap testing. flip the piston ring perpendicular to the cylinder head base - ring gap up to the sky - then insert the ring in with the ring gap compressed, then roll the ring in - it's much easier and a cleaner process. I hope that makes sense and helps.

I've had good luck utilizing a Dremel for piston ring trimming.
Also, have you checked if your torque wrench is within spec?
I checked, and was surprised it was almost 10lbs under.
Thanks for sharing the knowledge Brother, it is appreciated😎

Great content brother I'm refreshing a B18a1 short block with a b18b1 head would these specs work for that block as well since they are almost the same block I plan on using the stock pistons lowest one on compression is 155 the last I checked I'm pretty sure that should be good just wanted to get some feedback thanks in advanced keep up the good work.

I have a question that I believe I already know the answer to, but I'd like to be 100% sure. On building something like a D16y8 I've heard that you need to notch the block so these rods will fit. Do you have to do any modifications for the B18b1 block or does it have enough room to accommodate the bigger connecting rods?
