This video is filled with unique camera angles, depth of field tricks, and mood lighting. There's a flicker that's unseen but enhanced the power of the beat and the vocals. It's super effective in making the entire project more impactful. I've heard this technique on other songs before but never seen it on video. Adding a visual burst of light to support an impactful change in a song could be a trend of 2022. I'll be keeping an eye out.

Thanks to @shakiujungbbo for suggesting this song.. This kpop boy band is the best I've seen so far. Stray Kids obviously take a great deal of time developing their vision on videos and it's so worth the effort. I hope you enjoy my reaction to stray kids . Stray kids were picked by their leader Chris Bang Chan. They can all sing, rap and dance. Chris and Felix are from Australia. Felix didn’t know Korean and had to learn which is amazing. Stray Kids write and are self-produced. The production team (members of SKZ) is called 3Racha and consists of Bang Chan( leader), Han (Rapper) and Changbin (Rapper). These guys have music in a lot of genres and tend to blend genres so sometimes it’s hard to categorize which I’m glad because who needs categories. There is too much about them but this is a start.

As the song is about toxicity, it is likely because cherries contain cyanide compounds in their pits.

There isn’t a big gap between who is the most popular member of the group. Usually when there’s a vote they’re all just a few votes apart. I think most people find that it’s almost impossible to pick a favorite because they’re all amazing. However, Hyunjin is the “visual” of the group, so he is often given the spotlight for that kind of scene, so it may look as if he’s the most popular.
If I had to choose, my “bias” would be Changbin or Han. I like their rapping styles the most, and their vocals always tickle my brain. They’re both also really funny, and I find comfort in their vlives and vlogs. But, like I said before, it’s really hard to choose a favorite in this group

Great review. The Stray Kids are definitely getting more recognition. The most famous and iconic song is God’s menu which really made them more mainstream to K-pop audience around the world. Two most popular members are Felix and Hyunjin.

The record labels want you to watch the videos over and over again, lol. The group also release dance practices, relay dances, performances on their songs.
I have noticed that.
Felix with the deep voice is actually a huge bottle of sunshine in real life. They are all like brothers and are so close and smart and hard working. They love their fans.

Hyunjin so definitely popular, but Felix is very well known for his voice. Bang Chan, the leader, was a trainee forever and is friend with a lot of other kpop idols. The group was put together on a survival tv show called Stray Kids. The kpop industry is really an industry where young kids become trainees where they learn singing, dancing and more all day long and live in dorms just for the chance to get in a group.

Stray Kids are a self-producing group whose core sounds are EDM and trap, but they like to play around with other genres. They have an electro rock song called “Cheese”. My favorite Stray Kids title track has to be Thunderous, though.
A somewhat recent kpop song is Honey by Solar. It’s only been out for about a week.

Hyunjin is an awesome dancer and he puts out awesome dance covers. He has an amazing video where he was Artist of the Month doing a dance cover to Post Malone.

Stray Kids is amazing! They are all ridiculously talented and create their own music and concepts, as well as, write their own lyrics. Their new album just came out - Oddinary. It is a must listen! Super cool. They have so much content and have played around with so many different genres. My personal favorite is Felix with his amazingly deep voice and visuals. Stray Kids have credits or co-credits for lyrics, music, production on pretty much all their music. They work with some of the best video producers and choreographers in the business, they are famous for the quality of their videos. Supposedly Hyunjin is most popular by the numbers, but all members have really loyal followers. Many claim to bias all 8 of them. They have an unusual amount of creative input and control for a kpop group, which is part of why they are so good.
Definitely check out Maniac and Lonely Street from this mini album. Other more recent work from them. Thunderous, God's Menu, and Back Door. They are great dancers with excellent choreography, which doesn't show up on this video.

Ironically when you said hawng hyunjin and asking who was most popular he was on the screen. Personally my bias is Han Jisung.. and for how it started: They got together through a survival show which ironically was called stray kids

OH WOAH first time visiting your channel and LOVE the way you react to MVs, love the fact you do a bit of reading before reacting to a new group, especially HUGELY appreacited since I am a STAY ( fandom name of Stray Kids).
This mini album by Stray Kids named "Oddinary" just debuted #1 on BB 200 today (3/28), and ALL the 7 songs in the album were written and composed by the members, and more than 80%of the album tracked arranged by members as well ( mainly the leader Bang Chan).
When STAY say Stray Kids is a self-producing team, that is what it meant. Mainly conducted by Bang Chan, Han and Changbin ( aka "3 Racha"). They debuted 4 years ago ( 2018/3/25) and is way more popular overseas ( meaning outside of Korea) especially in USA.
They went through a lot of hardtime despite debuted from a relative big company (JYP), to prove their style and unique genre ( non ballad , not typical local taste) . None of their songs are alike as they continue to try new things.
I think you will very quickly pick up the unique things about this group and why they became the 3rd ever k-act to top BB200. Really worth the time to know more about them, sincerely.
Try " God's Menu" the song got them really took off globally and why their music called noisy by the haters, " Back-Door" praised by Times magazine, " Red Light" ( sorry, one of my personal taste and you'd know why once you watch and listen XD), "Miroh", "Easy" ,"The Tortoise and the Hare" the insane rap line.

All eight members are pretty popular. Hyunjin is beloved on visual-centric social media, as is Felix. Felix and Chan are favorites in their native Australia. Felix is quite popular within Korea, and Seungmin has recently started rising higher in Korean popularity as well. Changbin and Han are particular hits with rap lovers. And so on. Basically, they all have different levels of popularity depending on context. As a side note, no matter how many people tell you Hyunjin is "the visual," he's not. SKZ does not have official positions, unlike the majority of groups. All eight members switch around to fill the expected kpop roles of rapper, vocalist, and dancer; while most of them have one or two primary areas of focus, none are locked in. And they flat-out don't have an official visual, as 1) they're all visuals, and 2) the person most frequently shoved into that role (Hyunjin) by outsiders has had his looks used against him and has made it clear that he wants to be known for his skills, not his looks. Just because people keep slapping the label on him despite his wishes doesn't make that an actual official position, let alone one that he, specifically, is bound to.
They came together and all manage to be distinct because, unlike every other group in the industry, they were chose by their leader, not the company honchos. The company told 19-year-old seven-year-trainee Chan to take his pick of fellow trainees and then come to the company heads to be tested when the group felt they were ready to debut. That's literally never been done in the industry. So instead of the standard way companies form groups -- pick a few trainees as chosen stars and then fill in the space around them -- he chose the members based on personalities, potential growth, the ways they interacted with each others, and individual standout traits. And because they're self-producing and have an unprecedented level of creative control of their music and concepts, they get to write and produce music specifically tailored to them and choose which parts in which songs they want to best highlight their personal strengths, meaning they come across very balanced in terms of representing each member.

The song seems to be about being trapped in a toxic love - one that you become addicted to - so much that you reach the point that you don't want to leave, hence the exit at the end where Felix looks out but retreats and closes the door. ie I could get away if I wanted to ... but I don't! The whole album is a no skip for me.
