  • A look at Dutch citizen, Joran van der Sloot, the last person to see 18-year-old Natalee Holloway while she was on a graduation trip to Aruba in 2005.
    Examining killers who gained public notoriety when their crimes whipped up a media frenzy. The unnerving psychology behind murder has long been source material for television, books and movies, but why do certain killers capture the attention of millions?

      @jacobzaranyika9334 *NOT true* AT ALL. Joran was born angry/explosive. We do not know why that happens, but it does. It's like "We need to talk about Kevin", a film that will make you question why a child can turn out this way. You know, it's fine to say "They need to be put to death" etc. But that doesn't give you the right to jusr say bullshit like "it was him being an entitled brat". Prisons are stuffed with people who were nothing but abused and neglected, nothing near any entitlement at all, and the most entitled children (and adults) never turn out like Joran. Joran needed to be in psychiatric care, and he did see a psychiatrist long before his encounter with Natalee, because his parents sent him to one. And he was diagnosed with having psychopatic OR sociopatic tendencies. He didn't see the psychiatrist after a couple of visits, because he didn't like to go there. His parents should have MADE him go. There really ARE MANY nonviolent and nonforceful ways to make your minor son go to a psychiatrist when he doesn't want to, but they didn't make him. Now does this mean his parents are criminals for that? No, they *NEVER* thought he was a KILLER. They thought he was a gamble addict and a thief, as in: stealing from his PARENTS, because of it. We *HAVE* at look VERY *DIFFERENT* to crime, if we WANT to *PREVENT* it from happening. Children, youth and even adults are a care of *EACH AND EVERYONE OF US.* We can prevent many crimes, not all, but many. *Joran would NOT have killed, if he was cared for better, with some restrictions - that THIS didn't happen is NOT being an "entitled bratt".* Also, it was NOT his FATHER who took out the body, but it WAS his father who got WRONGLY accused of it FOR YEARS, and HE losed his life because of that never ending harassment, at age 56 - HE was A *VICTIM TOO,* but even after his death people wouldn't stop telling the lie that HE did that.

      Parents often worry for their children, at least the good ones. It can always happen something, even 1 mile away from home. One cannot stop children living their life just because you worry. The only thing you can do is tell your children to be careful and always, always travel in groups and not separate and maybe show them some of these episodes! More than that... after they are 18.... it's difficult.

    • @Notendop90
      @Notendop90 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@jeanny4204 It is only natural instinct for a parent to protect his/her child ALWAYS. We think we will not do such a thing, not for our (adult or minor) child too. Until we are 'there', met with these circumstances. But his father is not the one who "helped" him to take the body out. His father helped him by telling him what to say, and way more "important": what *not* to say. His father knew the law, that was his literal job: he was a lawyer and also in training to become a judge, but being a parent and protect your own flesh and blood is your "literal job" too. It is not right, but you will only understand when you are put in these circumstances.

    This is why the hookup culture is very dangerous. You're trusting a complete stranger to buy you a drink or take you somewhere. And like a russian roullete, you'll never know if you'll meet a monster like Joran. This trip would have been fun and memorable for her if she stayed with her friends. I was a teenager once and never have I ever left a bar with a complete stranger. I stayed with friends and never talked or flirted with strangers.

I cried because her father & mother gave her a lecture about drinking before she left for Aruba & she did anyway, that got her into trouble. There's nothing she could do when the physcopath told her that they were going by the sea to watch sharks because the drugs in her drink already took effect in her body. I hope all young girls including young adult women will be careful not to eat or drink from strangers, at home or abroad. A word to the wise is sufficient. May that physcopath rot in prison. He was a spoilt brat because his father shielded him in his wrongs & that's why he continue to do what he did. Also the father, I think had all the police department in his pocket.

    The storey left one importsnt thing out: crimereporter Peter R de Vries did an incredible thing that even brought him a price. They invested time in a frendship between Joran and a frend of Peter and after having reached the trustlevel Joran told him in a car wich was full of camera's that they had put something in her drink but since she was a very very short girl it probably was to much for her little body and that she passed out on the beach. He freaked, didnt know what to do and hide hr under some bushes, went back to his 2 frends and tbey went to pick up the body and threw her in the sea. Its also true that there is a place with sharks so she might have turned up as food for the sharks.
    Then with the peruvian woman he stated that she wasnt on his facebook but yes on his computer where she found PROVE (personal, in foto's or documents ) that he did kill Natalie and eithr she confronted him with it or he came out of the shower and saw that she saw it i don't remember but that's when he decided that he had to kill her or otherwise she would tell the authorities and he would be screwed.
    I thunk you must be able to find the priicewinning confession of Joran when Peter R de vries outsmarted him..

Their life experience is limited, they don't drink at all, nor frequent bars or night clubs, because in all honesty, EVERYTHING goes wrong where alcohol and clubs are concerned. So, call me stuck up or old fashioned, you can have ALOT of fun at a coffee shop. Strangers are a huge NO. Even people you know, can unhinge. Stay where it's safe! 🙏🙏💐 Condolences to the families. My motto is, if you're having a barbecue with friends and they binge drink, excuse yourself and leave! They say, you are only young once, but you only have one life to live! So look after yourself!
    If a guy asked me, and a stranger, do you want to go see the sharks at night, I'd ask him, what on earth for? No, thank you! Tip nr 2, don't drink with a stranger. Tip nr 3, if you have to drink, do it in a safe environment.

    It remains my firm belief that - in the best interest of their children and society at large - old school parents should rather be obeying their own gut instincts; this instead of being swayed towards giving in to financially support of their children to engage in the latest popular trends.
    Much better for young adults to rather have something to look forward to in future; for them to be broadening their horizons, and venture out on extravagant excursions when they are more mature - at a stage when they are able to fund it themselves.
