this is the first time a youtuber has complained about a background noise and i’ve actually been able to hear it lmao
I was thinking the same thing!
orlando has alot of landscaping going on all the time, i related so hard
my day isn't complete without a simsie build
yes
Ageee
fr
Agreed
i read that as dad 😭
Recently i made a farmhouse for two old grandmas that had 5 cats
They are really fun to build
So are we talking two lil' gay grandmas? or like me and my bestie, where we made a blood pact that if our husbands die when we're old we'll live together?
Both are good but I need answers.
@@wordydird i was thinking two lil gay grandmas
Also i forgot to mention, it was a tiny house anf one of them knits
@@wordydird fwiw, I'm playing a pair of lil' gay grandmas that farm and sell their art ;w;
Awh we love lil’ gay grandmas
I MUST see this farmhouse with the gay grandmas and their cats AAA
This has been the only time in history that I was able to hear any sound that lilsimsie was complaining about and I’ve watched her videos for like 4 years
Same!!
Farms & blue suburbans are both Simsie's obessesion, & expertise.
Please never stop building farms in the Sims
Tip for realistic historical houses with thatched roofs: If you have a chimney you want furniture that keeps the inhabitants off the floor for sitting and sleeping, whereas if you _don't_ have one you want them to stay lower in the room for most of their activities to stay below the "smoke horizon" where the smoke from the fire gathers before it slowly filters through the roof.
I’m doing a legacy lineage of my real family and it’s soooo hard running a farm on sims I can’t imagine having to do it back in the day 😂
I had a family with two grandparents, their granddaughter and her husband plus her two kids (but they were toddler and baby) and it was TOUGH. Poor grandparents were really carrying it for a while, they deserved a good retirement lol.
My grandparents and their ancestors were near starvation pretty often, it was not great. If you want inspiration on how to make it easier in the Sims though, you might want to watch James Turner's Cottage Living Let's Play - some options my grandparents didn't have include Patchy and gardening robots. 😆 (Patchy comes with Seasons, gardening robots with University.)
@ILuvAyeAye, i luv your username😀
My mom grew up on a farm, and that rug you put under the dining table is exactly like the one that was in my grandparent's house. They also had saloon doors between the kitchen and the hallway with the bedrooms. Old school farmhouses always remind me of visiting my grandparents. ❤
When you mentioned leaving the wall paint until last, I felt so called out. I had to upload my Simsie Lil Shell challenge house to the gallery twice because the first time I had forgotten curtains, toilet paper, and _an entire wall in the bathroom._
Not the toilet paper! 😭
Every time I watch Kayla build I just wanna scream "FORGET THE BUDGET!"😅
Wow, this is my favourite farm so far. This gives me so cozy vibes and you‘re never bored with the gameplay because you have so much stuff to do there. And it‘s cheap. Perfect!!💗
Honestly, I much prefer these builds while you're experimenting and trying things to speed builds. I feel like I'm actually learning and I do want to improve my own building. While I probably wouldn't be caught dead using a farm house in the sims (not my playstyle, no hate), it looks great!
What is your play style?
I once had vampires and wanted to grow my own fruits and vegetables with them so I slowly built an underground farm for them. At the end they had two full cellar floors filled with fruits and vegetables. Even deleted a ceiling in one of the rooms for fruit trees 😂
I love this idea (=
I used to have a vampire Sim who loved gardening!! My idea a few years ago was that he'd simply take care of the garden in the evening but your idea sounds pretty fun 😆
@@foranzo1582 that was my plan as well at first but then the plant collection got so big that he couldn’t get through all of them every night so I had to figure something else out and came up with the underground garden 😂
I just finished a three month long farm build and am finally playing with it. The farming obsession is very strong rn
You always give me such great ideas for my SIMing 😃
I do love farming in the Sims. And it's realistic in the way that it takes time and hard work for your sim. But gardening and farming is probably one of the most profitable non-career pastimes in the Sims 4!
this is one of the best builds I've seen Lilsimsie recently built! I am currently playing a family, whose living in a house with simple living and off the grid challenges and this was what I needed!!!
I made a cat lady who’s also a spell caster and I’ve been looking for a farm for her to live and this is perfect! Thank you Kayla!
She did it again. Every time she posts a build video I end up building multiple builds in my game. But sadly they don't come out beautiful like her builds. 😂😂😂
Your landscaping always looks amazing, but it’s especially stunning on this lot. I love the layered dirt paths.
You are so good at building in the Sims 💗
I mean cottage core is like actually an addicting thing 😅
I think it would be an interesting challenge to try to build a house with preset rooms. I never use those and I feel that I would be cool to see how Kayla uses them
ugh I need cottage living because it’s so cute
I’m imagining this house to belong to an elder or even an older adult who has one grand baby girl and always has a nursery set up for her even if she only visits once in awhile 🥺
I really wish she wouldn't limit herself on price so much! When I play the sims I only need a cheap house for the family for a short period of time and eventually I have so much money I just buy random things and still have excess, so I'm okay with like a 1 bedroom apartment costing 50K sometimes
“I’m landscaping, they’re landscaping” made me laugh so hard
A Simsie build is an essential part of my daily routine.
this is now probably one of my new favorite builds from lilsimsie 🥺
Pro tip: grow all kinds of berries! I put them in everyones inventory and they always got a tasty snack with them. Also PERFECT to put all around your toddler room, and they can just have a snack whenever! Tbh it's me irl, always munching blueberries in the woods, it's amazing.
"My Sim survived on cheese"
Maxis: Alright then :Creates 'can't angry poo' cause am constipated
Please do a living off the land, cabin in the woods, gameplay with the lil shell build you made! I really need a cottage living revival
Added this to my game almost immediately after watching! Started playing with a simple living family and their little one. Crops and baby milestones are both going well.. Really enjoyed this build, thanks for sharing it.
I have been a simmer since Sims 1
I was today years old since I realized there was a terrain paint eraser tool... thank you lil simsie
🤦
mE WHEN LIL SIMSIE BUILDS SOMETHING: Lilsimsie builds supremacy
It looks so good! I love this sort of house and gameplay and you are so talented at building
this is sooo pretty!! so inspired to build a farmhouse now
This house is going to be so much fun to play in!! I'm going to use it for the second generation of my new legacy save. Thanks for the great video and build!
I love watching builds but rarely play in them as I love building my own, but I think I’ll actually download and play in this one. So cute. I love the landscaping!
Just downloaded this build and made a few edits to start the decades challenge - love that these cottage vibes lend themselves so well to span generations of decor! Thanks simsie for the excellent build!
This turned out so cute!! I love it 💚💚
"I'am landscaping, the neighbors are landscaping... " 😂 - you are a real inspiration to all of us lilsimsie❣️
This is beautiful! And I didn’t know there was so much debug in cottage living, can’t wait to check it out!
Cute little farm house 🏡 🐓🐄, Thanks for sharing, I’ve learned so much on building and landscaping. watching your videos truly has helped and being able to use your builds is a fun touch. 🙏🏻😁
FARMS!!!!
Oh my gosh! I'm so in love with thi build! It's perfect!😢❤
This is literally what it sounds like outside my house 24/7. My neighbors are ALWAYS landscaping 😂 I feel for ya, Simsie 😂😂😂
This feels like home. It literally looks like one of my great aunt's homes with that sort of decor and overall interior color palette, with the wooden pieces and windows, and the green furniture. Especially with the flower wallpaper that's in the kid's room?? And the small living room without a TV? It's like I'm looking at a Sims reconstruction of a family member's house but like I can't remember whose house it is. It's so familiar but unfamiliar at the same time it's almost uncanny valley.
Either way you nailed the vibe so well. It's very 70s.
NOT EVERY HOUSE NEEDS A BUDGET KAYLA
i really love this build! so cute and homey :D just wish there was a cute lil terrain paint path to the chickens!
This turned out absolutely adorable! ❤
This is one of my favorites builds you have ever made. The landscape it's incredible, i absolutely love it.
For those who don't know, if a thatched roof in England has an owl or a bunny or whatever up there...it means the thatchers have not been paid in full just yet. These "loom" over the roof as a visual reminder to pay the installers. It's like the opposite of the stone lions some people place at the front gates to their property. Stone lions indicate that your mortgage has been paid off, so yay stone lion statues! On the "downside" for thatching...if the thatchers did a crappy job...everyone will be able to see it's crappy, AND most folks will recognize the local thatchers by their preferred rooftop critter! So most thatchers will try to do their absolute best work, since it's so very visible from the road!
I am currently playing with a family of 6 in Henford-on-Bagley with the "Simple Living" lot trait!! It's been a few months now, and previously I had a different deneration of the same family, this time of 8 Sims. I have to say: once you get the hang of the garden, it's extremely EASY to play with "Simple Living." All you need is around 8 different plants max, maybe a chicken coop if you're feeling fancy, and you're good to go!!
this is probably my fav build of yours! love it :)
Yessss I love farms
sims is saying the bathroom’s an unfortunate shape
all my bathrooms: 👁️👄👁️
If I had a dollar for everytime simsie said "Oh I think I need more landscaping" 😂😂😂
i love seeing the whole process!! :)
Anyone else think Simsie should give this house to Garrison when he moves out? He has cows on his jumper 😂
OMG yes!!!
Loving the current farm obsession! ❤
i love this build!
Inspired to go farm 🚜 ✨️ thanks Kayla❤
This came out great!
You have just blown my mind. The path idea in the garden is amazing. I have never seen anything more realistic then that in the sims. Amazing job, so incredibly creative.
Absolutely love this build ❤❤❤
this has convinced me to ask for cottage living for my birthday
I’d love to see more builds without budgets
I just got cottage living a couple of weeks ago and i am really into the farm life with my sims :D it's such a great pack and simple living is a cool challenge without being frustrating (like off the grid sometimes is)
Interesting, I find off the grid easier than Simple Living, but I have a hard time with gardening and cooking since Seasons changed it.
@@rabbitknight87 I disable Seasons whenever I want to just have fun farming and don't feel like building a giant greenhouse.
@@rabbitknight87 I like that you always have the option to buy supplies if you don't have them right now. And since you only need a roof over the plants for them to produce all year round it's enough to start with some planters on a porch or roofed balcony until i have enough money to build a greenhouse
Love your sims videos❤❤❤❤
i love the landscape 🥺🤩
i'm obsessed with the outside of this build... its SOOO good.
This looks so amazing simsie! ❤
omg the dirt path in the cow pasture is SO SMART. now im so inspired to make a new cottage living house since i just bought the pack
definitely going to download this one from the gallery
The neighbors landscaping added to immersion 😂
It's so pretty omg I want to see sims living there so bad and see how it goes
Ummm perfect timing for my cottage living/Infant save!! Literally just started it, downloading this IMMEDIATLY!
idk how to explain it and i hope i don't sound rude saying it but simsie is so comforting to me to watch but the weird thing is this isn't my kind of content... like at all. i barely watch these kinds of videos, i barely even play sims. she's just such an exception to me. her personality is radiating and just draws me in somehow and it feels so nostalgic like a childhood friend. shes already one of my comfort youtubers and i've only been watching her for not even a month. i love you simsie you're the best.
just found out her real name is kayla lol. love you kayla!!
This is really beautiful ♥
This build is very inspiring. I was experiencing some kind of a burnout, but now I want to play the sims again
This one is DANG CUTE.
Now for yet another Sims binge.
I’m looking forward to this
i looove it!! saving the build to my library until i can afford cottage living pack 🤭
I love your builds and listening to you while you build :)
oh, this is a really good one. that hallway split really pulled it all together!
this is the first time kayla has mentioned her neighbors mowing and i was actually able to hear it in the back lol
i know its left in by mistake but its honestly kinda interesting to see how simsie self-edits while recording with obvious intentions of cutting it out afterwards.
i’m starting to think it’s intentional!! it happens in almost every video and catches me off guard every time somehow 😂❤
I was concerned Kayla wasn't going to build a blue suburban farm house, but thankfully *sigh of relief* she did in fact make it blue
spent the whole video wishing (and waiting) for the moment Kayla just drops the budget and goes all out
Dan's at it again with the double takes😂
thank you, i thought i was going insane for a moment there lmao
in basegame tomatos, lemons, and cherries are only available in one community garden lot in oasis springs, and also due to the fact that you have to be there for a while for the lemons to spawn in, if your sim doesn't live there they can just never get lemons. it's been a thorn in my supersim's side for a good long while.
Hi Kayla, this is such a cute house. I’m loving the landscape. I love when u design the pathway. Looks realistic.
Something about building farmhouses... it's the fantasy of the sims, just moving into an adorable village and befriending bunnies 🤍💕 having an adorable cottage with a thatch roof✨🐝 ..getting your ass whooped by Agnes Crumplebottom in the town square...
I'm making a couple of sims and moving them into this place immediately i am obsessed
literally perfect build 10/10
Love the build!
The cost of those stupid haybales is the most price accurate Sims object😂
i grew up on a farm and i can confirm there is dirt and random plants EVERYWHERE. and i mean everywhere. my allergies went CRAZY whenever i would help my dad
This has relieved my anxiety gonna download this and play for the next 6 hours and forgot about life lol🤣
