I am so excited for this gen - I love orange! I know it's not your fave, but I'm hoping it'll grow on you. 😄I really love warm autumnal color schemes all year long, I can't contain them to fall.

My NSB Orange gen had a cake shop as cover for her criminal career. The cake shop was very pink and cute and she wore the cottage living dress with the frilly sleeves and a headscarf. The feds never caught on and she stashed stolen goods in the basement of the shop. She was a vampire, so she worked in the shop all day and then ran her criminal empire at night. Probably my favourite generation.

I haven't been watching that series, but I remember trying to raise kids in that apartment, it made me feel guilty. 😅 I know gas leaks in the Sims don't affect kids, but all I kept thinking was "their little lungs! Their little brains!"

AGREED! I tend to think the Sims doesn't have that many great orange swatches, it was so cool to see her find ones I hadn't thought of. I would love more warm "neutral" options (like that line between orange and tan, or orange and brown... My favorite line. 😆)

As a person who isn't scared of color and loves to use mixed matched furniture, I love the orange build. The orange generation of NSB is my favorite to decorate for.
In the Netherlands it is Kingsday in two weeks. Our national colour is orange and on kingsday everything and everyone is orange! So I particularly love this build right now. 🤗

there is a mod where you can use your baking skill on the oven, you can also use it if you want. you make cupcakes in the oven, so you don’t need that huge machine

Could you shrink the cupcake machine but then raise it up a little bit so the animation matches up again? You could put some of the get to work shop pedestals under it so it isn’t floating

Being able to really go all out with one colour on a build is honestly one of my favourite things in the sims - I mean when else can you do this crazy colour scheme?
Compared to the way I do it, this is very toned down.

As someone trying to go through the NSB challenge I'd love an update to the rules? Or a new version. To include new packs and game rules such as if the game adds popup traits and you're playing mint; do you only accept traits with green in them? It would also just be fun to see simsie do the new one

I violently hate orange! I think one of my earliest memories is being like 3/4 years old in my grandmother’s living room and the whole ass fucking living room was fucking Orange! And I just was .. staring, glaring at those orange curtains.

I love when Kayla does these color-themed builds because we see a lot of items and swatches that i never knew were there.
Also this is my favorite apartment lot to play in because it is a realistic size and has the balcony and I love this neighborhood. I had a really cute apartment there that was all pastel maximalist and I loved but oh man I lost my mind eventually with all the rats and gas leaks and broken pipes. That lot trait is brutal.
