I am sorry to say that I am to blame as well. I have watched all of your videos for years and am just not interested in other games. I play other games every once in a while but always come back and play Crossout every day. I love the game. I love how you can play for 5 minutes and it means something or 5 hours which with my life works well. You make great videos and have a great personality. I watched Magz for warthunder way back and he started playing Crossout so I did so its not impossible you could get me into another game but sadly it is unlikely. I would be sad to see you go away from Crossout. The game does not seem dead to me as a player, its always the same which is what I love. Its reliable, get in game get out, no bugs no issues.

I am really sorry for your problem now. I love Crossout to. I started last Christmas and I play almost every day. But I know it s frustrating to get like 200 likes in 1 video instead like a 2000 likes. Your most popular video has I think 320000 view and the editing is almost the same. But your editing is great. I hope you are keep holding the channel and a good future for your son.

I actually took a hiatus during covid but decided to return thanks to you. I even remember interviewing you as part of a high school homework assignment. Been watching Crossout videos since the Grommet, Treeburgers, etc. etc. days. One thing you have above all your predecessors is the fact you very seldom lose your cool, disappointment yes, but not anger. I’ve learned more from you about Crossout builds than anyone else that has done these videos. That will be a sad day when I don’t get my daily dose of Crossout JB.
Tnx for sharing JB, I feel you It´s a tough choice and its hard out there nowdays. Your personality, your game skill, your humor, video editing, the entertainment etc THATS what me and ur subscribers like. Ofc we also watch cuz we like or love Crossout, and you´re so good at it, giving tips and trix, I can ensure your videos also have affected the market of fun stuff sometimes haha... But I think with all that in your "backpack" you should be able to play, stream and upload any game you like. As long as your having fun. Wishing you the best and will support whatever you do.
I got back into crossout heavy this year with my brother because its such a fun get away from competitive shooters , until you run into some real crossout try hards , but YOU have helped me so much & given me so many build ideas so I have to say THANK YOU for being the only content creator left for us. Youre a great content creator JB! And we know crossout is a game you're very passionate about. I hope it works out for you, and I hope you're able to make your move to Canada happen! We'll be glad to have you. :)
As for the situation, it is a complicated one. All in all, if you want to expand to other mediums for your channel, then I think picking one or two games you like just as much as crossout and sticking with them is the best course of action.
Your passion will shine through in your videos, and you'll build the veiwership in those communities, even if it isnt there right away. For example, I have no interest in Cyberpunk and probably will not watch it on anyones channel, but I would absolutely watch you play the Isle!!
Once you have started to build more content for any demographic, people interested in that topic will seek it out and find you. Most of your veiwers are here to watch you play crossout, thats where our interests have converged. Some of us will be interested in the new direction you take, and some not. It's a leap of faith.

Nowadays, being able to launch a channel is more complicated than 10 years ago, but I have always thought that the best thing you can do on CZcams is to be the same person you want to play or do something different, do it, you don't have to take into account the People, the vast majority of the time, just be yourself and if what you do is entertaining, fun or just curious, people will see it. Now if you really want to get bigger numbers try to be yourself do what you want when you want and in case it doesn't work out well there are always more options never close the door early if you still don't know what awaits you behind that Greetings from Spain and keep going no matter what they say. 👍👋
Also, your editing and story crafting are at the absolute top right now. Keep developing those skills- you have some of the most entertaining videos I watch on youtube! Everything you have done is translatable to other channels. You're just stuck in a content silo for a game that is in death spasms. Much love from Beef Dreams/Cosmic Shart!

Honestly I watch your Crossout videos and your streams for Crossout only. I get the notification for videos earlier in the day and its the first thing I do after work EVERYDAY! Crossout is always changing so its good to have someone still showing us what we can strive for in the game and what still works and what doesn't. Keep up the good work jb.

Yeah man, I don't know why this game doesn't have more players than it does. It's legit, it's well funded, they never stop trying in it, I love it, and there's so little youtube content about it nowadays, that you're definitely king of the hill there, for whatever that is worth. I know this is from a month ago, but I just wanted to ask you to keep going with it brother. Your voice is good, you GET the game, you're not just bitching all the time, you give real takes, and your advice has really helped me improve as a player. I appreciate you and what you're doing. Maybe try and find a middleground bit of content. Lower effort stuff that requires less editing, but gives us something to watch and doesn't suck up your time. Maybe record your matches all day from a Saturday afternoon, space em out over the next 2 weeks, not to be annoying, but just to train the algorithm. There is a way to do this; just as Moon and his channel. He paid people to figure it out, then boom, millions of views. It would make my day a little less fun not having JBRider in it anymore. MrG puts out good videos too, but I don't jive with him as well as you.

I play games in waves and tend to watch videos about whichever game I am playing. Crossout has a decent amount of my time and money wrapped up in it so I come back frequently for the creativity aspect. When Crossout had the flying game, I thought it was going somewhere by adding a new layer of creative options.....then they took it away. Your videos are awesome and helpful. That said, there is something to be said about a game that can take 5+ minutes to find a match. I would likely watch video on other games but have too many hobbies to be into new games often. I wish you well and keep the personality, charisma, and creativity.
Completely Understand. What I have also noticed is most successful gaming channels have a younger audience and they have way more time since they have no family or work just school. As a grownup I cannot watch strange video where people fake it and I'm just like you I watch what I play at that time
@@JBRider maybe try themeing a vehicle after a kid's show and promote that you get to shoot other cars not a "person." I let my son (7) play crossout because he like Legos and building but we don't like the idea of him "killing people." Just a thought.
I follow you since the beginning and I really struggle with you. Devs sometimes try hard to kill the game, luckily they fail. I'm sure it isn't easy to have a channel on Crossout, I saw other YTbers slowly fading out but I'm happy you are still here. BTW the guy that jumped out during the video was super funny.. keep up the good work
I would say I love the Crossout how to build tutorials i struggle with grinding and I’m a spider player with very minimal knowledge on how to get coins and what build help you grind faster in all game modes. I just love the videos that help players get to enjoy the game too.
I think you make some awesome content, thats why i take time to watch anything you offer us!...but i get what you said....if it isnt crossout there will allways be one or more peeps mentioning it in the comment section of the vid....which i dont really understand, cause that meens they didnt really watch the vid you posted, and they are wurth our time! The only thing i cant really seem to get to are the twitch streams.....allways something gets in the way of me hanging out with you in real time (stream)....maybe in the future if i am lucky!....as for this vid...great builds and gameplay as usual!.....thanks for sharing JB and keep it up!

I like ur crossout videos, because you have deep understanding about the game and often you spark my imagination to fire up crossout and try out some new ideas. that in mind i come here only for crossout, dont care about war tundra or trailmakers. for other games there is other creators, but you are OG of crossout! Best of luck whatever you do.

Hello JB, first of all great content and I've been big fan for a while now.
I can confirm about the algorithm being weird. Not sure why, but even though I'm subscribed I practically never see your other videos recommended. It's not just you thing either, I noticed the same thing with other creators. When they try to switch content topic, it's hard and they usually succeed through another platform first (like twitch). That or they have such a huge following (million+) that even if they lose 3/4 views for a while the rest is enough to get them through until they actually manage to pull the switch through.
Unfortunately, the channel is not growing because Crossout has such a small player base, which is sad. :(
You are right that it's dying out which is a shame as I really enjoy playing it and building new vehicles.

Great video buddy, and I hear you, will watch other videos you post up and share them, back to this video, I preferred the tusk avalanche, it was awesome, and the melee builds are difficult if you don't have a way to slow the enemy or skinner them, and I use the wang in confrontation, got mine on a Catalina cabin, again great video buddy

JB, don't get me wrong, but I'm here for the love of Crossout... your quality XO content was a part of my life for the past years. I enjoyed watching a good player, who's not toxic and shares many of my opinions about XO and its gameplay in general. Your playstyle and how you mastered all the different weapons has always been inspiring, also teaching, and even drew me back to the game when I wanted to quit.
But sometimes love doesn't pay off. So, do you love Crossout or do you just want to make up for a living with classic CZcams gameplays? cheers
Don't get the last question but my plan was. Many let's play channels just play their one game that they love and grow and they do that for 10+ years playing random games here and there. Unfortionatly for me that is not working even though people always say I should be bigger so i have reason to believe it's because of crossout. In the beginning me comments were okay but these past few months it was mostly comments about players complaining about the game which just drives them away from the game and my channel. also most players are from RU so the RU channels are still doing great

I would recomend you still upload crossout vids there are some new players like me comming to the game and we are lost in this game without guide lines tips and tricks from veterans like you i also enjoy all the content i have watced so far i hate what devs are doing makeing a money grab scheme for scraps and non usefull passes.
I wish they premoted this game alot more becuse it wil still be super popular if many more people knew about it tbh i only heard of crossout like 6-7months ago so the information is not all out there i wish we could restore this amazing game becuse its really a dimond in the gameing genra and its so much fun to play.

JB I love your videos, maybe if you want to expand your channel create a poll on CZcams or a Google form where people can enter what they would like to see you play so that you can try other games and have some hope of success. Like many others I'm a die hard crossout fan and began watching you when no one else was still posting content. Man, I'm happy to be back to the crossout and marathon your videos because I was away for 3 years, but I'm sad that you can not grow with the game, I know well what it is, I create world of warships content and just like the gaijin WG does a lot of advertising of the game, but unfortunately they are two games nichados and so being a limit so we can grow. Your videos are excellent, try to make videos of games more hypados, so tbm you attract a new audience to crossout, I confess that I was not very interested in videos of other games of yours yet, but will experiment, the important and you be happy and doing what you like so you do not get frustrated so much! A big hug and success for you friend!
12:23 impact damage works like module explosions, it does damage to other connected parts, a lot of exhibition builds have this problem

Hey JB! Always have enjoyed your videos, way back when your channel was fairly new, through when you were working towards 10K subs, and still right up to now. I initially came to your channel because I was looking for Crossout content specifically, but I stayed because I enjoyed your down-to-earth attitude, humor, and just plain good information. I'll join in with others and say I think you do a great job on producing your content! Nonetheless, I haven't been watching nearly as many of your vids lately. It's not because of you, it's because of the Crossout devs. I just hate the road they've been taking the game down and playing Crossout started to feel like a chore and obligation. I love the core concepts behind Crossout, and I think the art department has been killing it. But even though it hurts a little bit, I've given up on Crossout, at least for a while. If you feel like you're able to branch out and cover other games, I for one would absolutely be interested in watching. In my case, and I bet many others, it would actually bring back some of my attention to your channel. I hope you're able to pivot that way, since I know the algorithm can mess over even really solid content creators. But I'd stay subbed and would welcome some different content on different kinds of games. Stay strong brother and don't lose hope. It may be a bit of a slog for a little while, but I don't think you need Crossout to stay relevant.

I feel you man i'm so scared. i know people say take chances make mistakes that's how you grow lol but i already have a family can't do risky moves like that especially since 99% of creators who left crossout channels died. good examples are treeburgers and suslik they both started doing what they wanted semi popular games and they just quit it wasn't worth it anymore. If my country was normal paying i would honestly just work and not worry about it but an income here is only $200 you can't do jack sht with that. so i'll keep grinding and working hard hopedully i can grow by implenting differnt games slowly and keeping crossout vids as well or just try a 2nd channel as my test channel
@@JBRider have you considered making a video about how to make gaming videos?! There's probably stuff like that already out there but with a bit of JB personality I'd be interested to watch! Keep the XO part of it inconsequential (ie it could be with any game so other people see it to be relevant to them).

You're content is gold! Ive been watching for years man, I don't even play crossout anymore. You actually made me like trailblazers, I associated that game with kweb, and those guys when my nephew was watching it so I stayed clear until you 😂.
Based on my experience as a viewer I'd agree that its just a mix of bad cards. Crossout is such a unique game and group of gamers its almost like you're getting sucked into the minecraft delema where people couldn't do anything aside from mc content.
On top of this CZcams actually recommended one of your 3 year old videos to my partner's recommendations and the last game he played was Mario kart on the wii... He watches sewing, and mechanic videos alone lol. Tripped me out, he had never heard of crossout except from me raging at crossout mobile briefly.
I've seen and heard from people on both sides of viewing and creation on platforms noticing a serious flaw in its systems to reach their audiences or be recommended relevant videos. The algorithm anymore seems to be less of a fair equation, and more of an arithmetic siphon for the highest income producing creators based on their contributions...
Idk how networking works for you guys as creators, but there's a channel called "Theradbrad" he's been around a while, a fellow father as well. He's pumping out videos like no other and sustaining decent view counts. Seems he sticks to newer titles, and growing indies then continues after his first playthrough if his view base asks for it. I've been subscribed to him since 2014 but I've only watched 5 of his playthroughs admittedly, but I'd say your quality is right in par and you'd be marketable in the same way. He's almost more like a game showcaser than a specialist like you are with crossout. Marketing himself more than the game itself. If you haven't already id study his channel a bit or reach out if that wouldn't be weird granted.

Ow yeah theradbrad is the OG of playthroughs everyone on the platform know his channel is for that. i was amazed that he could hold that up but he started early and i guess build that brand heard he was having a kid too yeah a while back. also why people don't do what he does he gets the game 2 weeks early and it's just an unfair advantage that why most don't bother. just like any busisness there are a lot of tricks no one tells you about all videos are about generic info but good thumbnail, put tags bla bla bla but been doing that for 5 years. I always thought pople got lucky but i feel like i'm missiing some information about this whole content creations stuff

Wow JB, first of all, I'm dismayed you're not getting paid handsomely for your killer Crossout content. Gaijin should be too because their greedy BS is so offensive I can't play the game for more than 30 minutes without feeling ripped off and cheated. But I still watch your videos every day. I'm consistently comforted, entertained and amused, just hearing your voice and seeing you blow shit up. So it's pretty much the only thing that brings me back to Crossout from time to time.
Like I've complained in your comments before, the game is pretty much completely enshittified, and you're right, it's a dying game and it's their own fault.
Also, I appreciate you playing my Ermak-wang-tower in what may be one of your last Crossout videos. It was pretty much the best review I could hope for and you played the build better than I do.

As a casual player, I enjoy watching your videos and agree with you on Crossout, its slowly dying. Love playing it but it's not as fun as it used to be. It's weird that your CZcams channel is not hitting a bigger audience because most Crossout players know who you are. Hopefully you can keep on doing them. Hey man, love your content and personality, you always bring such energy to what you do. Just a random suggestion, but since you're kinda the premier crossout content creator, have you considered making an iceberg video? I see them all over, and while maybe it's just a passing trend, it might be a way to play to the algorithm a bit as well as working with a different video style.
Granted, I'd imagine the editing side might be tougher, but in the short term it might help drive channel engagement while you strategize a longer game plan, and I haven't seen anyone else do one on the subject. I for one will sit and watch iceberg videos about damn near anything, and I'm certain this game could be farmed for enough content to fill one.

lol nvm it's not a game is some kind of tier list. i'm currently working on a crossout tierlist already made the list just testing a few more items to see if i'm correct or if i need to make changes to the list
@@JBRider Well, it's like a tier list, but it often goes more into lore, trivia, mysteries, and topics of interest. Not just ranking things from good to bad, but more like common knowledge to obscure things only veterans would know.
I'm sure you've got plenty of obscure and rare facts that you could share.

i feel you jb my channel isnt as big as yours but im actually going through the same thing crossout vids arent doing as well as they used to anylytics are down things involving crossout are just rough right now especially when your channel revolves around it yt pushes my channel as a mostly xout channel also but i do upload other games but yea i feel you brother
Yeah it's rough and the thing is i don't want to play something that is not fun either otherwise i'll get bored. somehow crossout managed to keep me interested until the badg changes that's when i really got pissed off

Ah man, yeah I remember seeing mani fall off hard… he has been having the same issue for over a year now. He was the sole reason I am here tho, if it weren’t for him I never would have found crossout.

Yeah, it's rough. Making it on YT is never about effort, you just have to get lucky pretty much, it's all about how much ppl manage to find your channel that like you as a person. The best advice would be to find a game you're REALLY passionate about, one that you can play hours on end without getting burned out, and then focus on that; which I would also think that if you are trying to branch out, making a second channel is the way to go, the fresh start might be just the thing, since here you're that crossout guy, but having a clean slate you can be whatever you want.
Thanks for the comment. yeah I have seen what people do and what works and I am I would say to old or it's too late for me to do that with having a son and doing everyone alone and all that. I have made a second channel I have already recorded some but filming outside and events is such a different ball game. still not happy with what I got so I am practicing and getting better items every month I get paid. People who do really really well are the ones that can talk very good and are good at story telling i don't posses those special abilities so yeah have to get lucky that people like me find my videos if that makes sense :)
ngl I've been watching your channel for years. love your content. I usually leave your content on in the background while I play crossout. been fighting with the crossout dev team for over a year due to the constantly declining server performance. ping used to be 45-65ms and now it's 145-285ms. feels like the devs are just milking the game until it officially dies. I just hope your channel doesn't die along with the game. It does feel like your content is more driven towards streaming or other games that can be good background noise. as for your other content and branching out, it's usually best not to branch out until you hit 100k subs or try to have 2 main games you play. keep up the amazing work. if you ever need anything in canada I'd love to help if I can.
Yeah i had a feeling that was the case branching out now with only less than 20k subs will end badly. I'll keep this game going with xo, trailmakers and maybe war thunder as well and try another channel
it is not your problem, you are great. just the game we enjoy is dying, and there is nothing we can do
