You did make very reasonable punishments for the daughter. She needs to take responsibility for her actions and the mother should’ve been making some too.
Cut your losses and kick her out. As soon as she said that to you it WAS OVER!!!! That or move out and hand her the divorce papers as you walk out the door. Peace out ✌️
If you are the original poster please read this entire comment. 2 things for you OP. 1. No you are not the a-hole. If she wants to only say stuff like that when her children do something wrong. And then still expect you to act as a father in every other capacity. Then she can go without you acting as a father. 2. Divorce the b!tch she does not care about you, your feelings, your belongings, or your decisions. And she has shown that she has no respect for you and only sees you as a means of financial security A.K.A an A.T.M and free child care while she's at work.

OP and his wife need to have a discussion on how to parent the kids and the extent of his involvement, as it stands it's unfair to him that he is expected to parent in all other ways but does not get a say in how to discipline them. The solution she is proposing by not disciplining her daughter and mis-reporting the damage to insurance is not a good solution. This isn't a great situation for the kids either who are getting caught in the crossfire e.g. son. I'm surprised it hadn't come up before considering they've already been married for 4 years, this is something that should have been addressed earlier on in the relationship.

That means (in the US, where they seem to be) the house is his and his alone, so she can't take half. And since he's not legally the father (which she made sure to tell him during their argument) she can't sue him for child support either. He needs to divorce her, because she is obviously only using him for resources.
