My mom did this kind of thing when she was a child, but she had better logic. In her house the pizza had always been served on a wooden cutting board, so little her came to the reasonable conclusion it was cooked on it, and as such, the house almost burned.
My grandmother once burnt a salad, this was before I was born, but I heard the story multiple times

I found out the hard way that plastic melts when you put it in one of those I forgot what you call it but basically it uses the air I think I don't know but anyway I found out the hard way that plastic melts where you put it microwave or anything that basically heats to the point that it will melt I was trying to reheat my food and the plastic melted everywhere it was hot so I got a cloth to hold it and it's stuck I had to cut it off yeah also the plastic was in the food so I just threw it away
