    I wonder if he is retired and is trying to "Dr" her from a perspective of how things used to be done? Good for them for putting down a hard boundary on this.
    Also, it's not appropriate to treat family members as a physician. This is one reason why.

    Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like he is making comments/suggestions on the pregnancy/postpartum as a concerned FIL. He is saying things that directly contradict what her currently licensed specialists are telling her to do. That isn’t okay.

    NTA. Geez for a minute there i thought he was gonna ask if she got the husband stitch 🙄🙄🙄 he should stay in his retired GP lane and let the current licensed pros handle it.

    It is clinical guidance to induce babies by 38 weeks if mum has diabetes. Because the stillbirth risk is genuine. They are not just doing it out of control freakery.

    Honestly he just seemed concerned, not even judgemental about the weight,, i think she was right to tell him to stop bc she might be sensitive about the topic. But like, first warning and already an ultimatum? That a bit harsh
