The tip about doing one hinge at a time and not having to remove the whole door was a great time saver. Thank you! And our builder wanted to put a chain on door, which would have sucked. Thanks for educating what a door restrictor is!
It really was that easy! My wife and I just installed 36 of these clips in our kitchen, two bathrooms and our laundry room in about an hour and 15 minutes. On the cabinets with only two hinges, I really did need a second set of hands to stabilize the door so I didn't put any extra stress on the other hinge. The cabinets with three hinges went very easily. Thank you for the video, i was a little stressed about doing this job. Simple!
Thank you for the close-up of the restrictor install. I watched other people’s videos and you can’t see anything. Too far away or obstructing the install with tools or hands, etc. you video is nice and clear!
Huge thank you! Just bought a house and some of the cabinets were hitting the wall. Ordered it from Amazon and installed! Now if I could only find something for the refrigerator door that opens to wide. It already has a type of restrictor below on the doorbut it still allows the door to open to wide…research continues
Thanks so much for posting this video! My wife and I just built a beautiful house, and several cabinet doors were hitting the wall. Neither our builder nor the cabinet guy had a solution, so I searched the Internet and found your video. I ordered clips and installed them. Problem solved! Thank you!
THANK YOU! i had several cabinets in my new house that would damage the walls because the cabinet opened too wide. My builder refused to take responsibility for this and i was afraid that if I took the doors off I wouldn't get them back on correctly. Your advice worked perfectly! One question - do I need to do both the top and bottom hinge, because I just did the bottom and it seems to solve the problem but the cabinet manufacturer told me to do both.
I can't find my hinge brand anywhere... it's Taiming brand.. it looks like a European hinge but it's a Chinese company.. do you know if any of these clips are universal??
I inspected it very carefully and saw how the entry structure would sit on the hinge. That’s how I found out which one I needed but if you’re unsure try to do your best make sure there are free returns on the item. Usually Amazon has free returns. you can try eBay.
They don’t cost much if you cut corners your stuff might start working in about six months then you’ll be scratching your head saying maybe I should’ve just did it the right way
Ok. Those are doors not cabinets that you keep referring to as cabinets. And the screws on the hinges don't do what you said they do. The first screw you referred to that you claimed moved the "cabinet" left and right, it actually moves the door in and out the screw above it that is recessed in the hinge slightly moves the door up and down. The screw on the face of the hinge moves the door left and right. You keep referring to the door as a cabinet. The cabinet is the box the door is the part that is hinged.
Well done video! Short, clearly spoken, close up video, and and straight to the point! Bravo! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Quick and great tip one at a time instead of taking the whole door off! Thank you!

Your welcome
Very helpful, thanks!
Thank you very much!!!!!!
Thank you very helpful
Jayzus, that video could have been 20 seconds.
Super helpful!
Glad I helped
thanks for the video! Do these make the door soft close as well?
No
Any issue with stripping the screw hole
I can’t find any hinge restrictors for Berta soft close hinge
Good video
Where can I find those restrictors?
Thank you for posting
Ebay
They are on Amazon as well
Where the link to buy it
Is it necessary to add the restrictor to each hinge, or just one?
I Always used one and each door hinge because one restrictor overtime may start to cause a problem but you will be OK for a couple of years
You only need 1 per door. Doing every hinge is overkill
Do you need to put this in every hinge? Or will just one do the job?
One will do the job, but I put two in each one just in case
I have Berta softclose hinges. I can’t figure out which restrictors to buy? Help
Me either that’s crazy
You have your thumb in the way!
Some say you only need one per door? Your experience?
They don’t cost much it’s not that serious you can go put one in each hinge so that way in a couple years it stops doing its job have fun with that
I can't find my hinge brand anywhere... it's Taiming brand.. it looks like a European hinge but it's a Chinese company.. do you know if any of these clips are universal??
Probebly not
Skip to 1:50 if you want to see how they are installed w/o all the talking.
How can you tell which model hinges you have? I don't see any obvious markings.

@@KooperSalmo Thank you. Mine looks just like yours.
Far too much info on the lead in. Also I think everyone in America has a bottle of Lawry’s in it.
Honestly you only need to do the hinge in line with the handle to open the door. Doing all 3 is slight overkill.
