Quick run up of my Thunderbolt 1000 chopper on "level 7" (240V). Sorry about the video cutting out early, it was so loud that it maxed out the camera and shut it off on wind down.
Thanks! Hopefully I'm gonna attach a horn to it and see how deep the bass goes on it. I've been playing around with a 2T22 cone on it and it really kicks it out even with that! I'll have to post a video of that experiment up as soon as I can run it again.
The brush assy. was taken off to fix another 'bolt, and I stole the legs off of my other Model 2 so I could make it stand up without it taking off rolling across the deck. lol
@frickinasshle They really do, especially a lot of the modern, monotone ones. Back in the days of Civil Defense, they were very diverse in both sound and looks, but once CD funding dried up, everyone stopped making all the funky-sounding/looking sirens and started making the same basic design.
There are a few of it from when I was running that one while the 2T was torn down for a rebuild. Here's one of it doing the evening blast on the deck: /watch?v=ynWoHF8isLE I haven't gotten the 5 here from Illinois yet, but a friend is coming down for a visit this month from Illinois, and he's bringing it down with him. :)
for a second i thought it was a 2T lmao
Doesn't need a rotator to spin anymore!
LOL my thoughts exactly! So many years in service and it still can't help but rotate when it's activated.

That is the closest I can get to having a ‘Bolt. A Model 2 with a chopper from a ‘Bolt
Oh shit, I forgot to edit that one! Hold on, it'll be up in a minute.
Yep I have a single tone Model 2-120 as well as the Darley 2T.

Nice Ian! Would that also be a Model 2?
Where is the 2t22 video from yesterday?
Awesome! Whatch me spin HA!

where did you get the thunderbolt chopper from?
Oh and by the way...that's what she said
@MrSciencetificsasuke Five, same as a single tone Model 2 (same rotor). One stator port though, obviously lol
LOL.
No you cannot borrow my thunderbolt horn.
Yeah they're basically the same thing. Same motor and rotor, but with a different stator.

@Droideka133 Nope! Must miss being united with the rest of its head lol
Haha don't plan on it, that sumbitch is too heavy to even think about using on it
