- GUESS WHAT IM BACK!!! I've finally got to print the highly requested 8/10 port siren. I will do some more sirens very soon. I finally got time to do something I've always wanted to print and its now done. I will upload the STL files soon for this siren. The rotor is 120mm in diameter and does give a pretty good punch to it. I designed both the stator and rotor on fusion 360. maybe I'll upload a video on how to design your own siren. for now Enjoy the sounds of the ACA Hurricane 130 Siren!
:)
You know this what Rolling Meadows Illinois will sound like, the hi-lo signal. Plus the pitch of the 3D printed Hurricane sounds like North Montessori School ACA Hurricane MKII 130 recording from Alerting Communicators of America in 1979. This ACA Hurricane 130 was located at Glendale, WI and was removed in the 90’s and replaced by a P-10.
what a wonderful thing to have in your kitchen
NICE!!!!!! U should try making another stator with a bolt mounting flange and make an adapter to bolt to the end where u can blow air into the siren with the blowing side of a shopvac!!!
I'll make that happen!
@@clumoostudios3585do you have an update on this? Could you use a leaf blower?
Dam
HOLY SHIT THE MAN IS BACK
That's very nice! I like the grinder
Thundercane 1030
ACA HURRICANE!!!
May I suggest a idea
May you please make a 15/18 port siren
It would peek at a very similar pitch to an SiraTone controller
ACA maybe will love this
So so much like a hurricane and I love it
Nice
This looks like a thunderbolt siren and kind of sound like it
You should make a 7/10 Port siren because I really wanna hear one
can you send the links for the models? cuz ill love to have this outside and ill add a blower
Sound like aca hurrcane but he need a longer slow down
Could it be possible for a 9/12?
The wind down sounds like a thunderbolt
What's the power consumption and RPM of that motor? It's basically a glorified blower fan so I can't imagine it needs that big of a motor to make a sound right?
Well the motor is pretty much fucked at this point, however it still runs all the way up to 3450rpm. I like the bigger motor because it has more power wounding up bigger rotors I put on it. Not sure about the power consumption
When you listen to and pay a little more attention, you can almost hear a really bad imitation of a pipe bag
if possible can you try and make a 10/12/15 port siren ? it would sound exactly like the super rare gents tri tone siren. (EDIT : it would not since 3540rpm instead of 2850rpm)
(click read more, theres more...)
BIG EDIT : i managed to find a 50hz bench grinder (i am in france) on leboncoin (a french ebay ripoff kind of thing), and you know what that means... 50hz=2850rpm (yes i checked the label on that bench grinder it says 2850rpm), so that means that if i get that 10/12 rotor and stator assembly from nicolas then i can do a british air raid siren, but i will just use a 8 port stator and rotor that you made and posted on thingiverse that i downloaded early since that makes the INFAMOUS french siren tone. right now the only sirens i have are 4 carter minimites that i also got off leboncoin, but i am really going to get that bench grinder soon (my mom has a 2850rpm bench grinder, but you cannot unscrew the grinding wheels, so too bad) and when i recieve it i will do my french siren.
BIG EDIT 2 : i realised that to make the french siren sound you need a 3000rpm bench grinder, which i found ultra easily since the standard rpm for bench grinders in france are 2800 (rare), 2850 (rare), 2950, 2980 and 3000. so i will get a 3000rpm bench grinder to make a french siren.
Hey how are you doing man? Every video that you make is pretty cool! Any more ideas you plan to do?
I'd like to build a big loud siren that does 130 at 10ft. But because it's big and needs a powerful motor, need figure out design and what grinder motor I'll need. I want to print it once and as is because it takes days to print and uses alot of filament. But for now I'm gonna keep making some smaller sirens
You probably need to step up from bench grinders then, the induction motors they use dont even reach 1hp, you should try and get a bigger ac motor one that is 1hp above, ive seen that aca penetrators have 10hp motors, you could get one cheap if its used, but then youll have to know if you want a single phase or three phase motor, if you choose a 3ph you will probably need a vfd to run it with single phase current.@@clumoostudios3585
@@clumoostudios3585 Do you have an update on this yet?
You even printed a horn??
Sure did
Can I contact you somewhere? I have a really obscure siren question that not many people could answer
Sure, send me a message on Instagram. da_groovinator_
Aca hurricane!
ACA Hurricane 130
Yes Correct!
ACA hurricane

It’s actually resembling an aca hurricane
With some better engineering, you could make an ACA Hurricane!
Yes I could. Just need time and energy which rn I don't have because of school
