@Notorious1503 yep they could and that was their hope. But LeBron is pissed off with the lack of talent of the Lakers young core, so he wants to trade them (so he doesn't have to deal with them anymore) in his quest for titles. So getting the first pick means 1 out of 2 things: - Lakers trading Zion and keeping most of the young people (which is still bad as LeBron views it), - Lakers keeping everyone and adding a new young who could mess as much of the other 'young talents'. So either way it is a mess.

It's kinda hilarious that they fully animated the top 3 most-likely picks, and then realized they'd have to animate the Pelicans winning
but Suns was very generic dialogue, and Kind and T-Wolves were clever...the rest unfinished animation ones were pretty pointless
