You can make it work by pooring on the first half. No need to make a full mold. Don't poor directly on the key form . carve another shape connected to it . Pour there and I'll travel to the key shaoe filling it. This way you'll avoid a bumpy big finish .

Я при таком литье делаю каналы для воздуху крупнее. Чем тоньше изделие тем больше канал, иначе метал не успеет залить. Но нельзя совсем большой делать а то всё в низу будет 😀.

Not in this case
Do NOT show a picture of your key like that especially with the numbers on it buddy. That key can be duplicated from you showing that detailed of a picture showing the numbers which are meaningful to the way the key is cut. Just don't want you to be harmed or robbed. It's too easy to find out where someone lives. Awesome job though!

Not that epic of a fail.. :) Preheta the mold, more metal for more pressure, maybe i would lay the flask on its side and do a pouring cup and a sprue from the top and directly to the head of the key, then you would just saw the sprue off of the head and grind flat..
