@@RCMANIAC-YT different question. do you know if I can use traditional body mounts/ posts with hooks on the XMaxx?
You mean like clips? Not sure about that one but not sure why you would want to. The clip less body mounts on the truck double as shock towers and removing them or switching them to something different would effect durability significantly. If your having trouble with the clip less system I recommend practicing. It gets way easier and is very effective. Hope this helps!

The mod 1.5 gears are great although so is the belt and the belt sounds really cool!

I'm sure u could find one somewhere, I don't personally know of any but it might be better to go buy a file and just use the normal set up
I feel your pain using those tiny Allen keys. Get some good drivers man! And a electric driver it makes it so much easier!!!

@@RCMANIAC-YT do you do hard bashing with it? I've been getting really mixed reviews. Some people seem to love it some people think it sucks. Has it been working well for you? I also run trenchers and I have an 1100 KV motor
Yes I do and it works great u may have to tinker around with it a bit to get it dialed in but yes I believe it works great

It looks cool sounds cool, dont quote me on this but I believe it's more durable then standard gears, and its cheaper to replace then upgraded gears

But there is one really big let down for belt drive is that it has this flex, and will have this lagging feeling, the power is not direct feeling anymore, luckily it is not drastic, according to my testing with wfo gears, and wfo belt drive

Yes I would say so, the gearing ratio is a little higher so it does go faster but it's overall pretty great

I would say so! I would highly recommend if you have the stock power system still then upgrade that otherwise yes its worth it!

Max 5 and 1100 or 800kv motor
1100kv will wake that monster up .

Cool video. What set up did you use? And gear ratio?
Stock 8s motor with max 6 but I'll probably swap with HW 800kv and max 5 as far as gearing I'm not positive but it is a fairly aggressive ratio

If u mean the pulleys it was 15/25 but I've now gotten the max 5 combo and am now running 25/30

I don't have a fan on it but so far I haven't gotten it to overheat, it gets fairly warm on a hard run but not to hot

Not for much longer but yes, definitely a little aggressive
How long does the belt lasts?
I've had mine for several months now and haven't had to replace yet so I'd say several months at least but I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than a year!

15/30, a bit aggressive for the stock motor but doable, my stock motor is gonna get a hobbywing swap soon so it's fine for now 👍

It depends I personally would say it's worth it but there is the downside of if you really give it some juice then sometimes the belt will slip but it sounds cool drives smooth and works great for 98% of normal driving
Why run a belt vs gears?
The difference is gears can break as for this a belt may break after a long period of time but it is much cheaper to replace, also in my opinion the sound the belt makes is cooler then the grinding/clanking of the gears. Now the only downside to a belt is depending on how powerful your motor is you may run into having a little belt slip.

I did that with intention of switching power systems to the max 5 and 800kv and it works great on that set up

I'm not quite sure what u mean, if your referring to the grinding the shaft then yes that's what your supposed to do, second, yes this belt drive is specifically made for the car...
