    Pinion pulley is way to big esc will just cut power due to excessive amp draw per KV selection. You need a 15t Pinion pulley with the 30t spur pulley

    What i’ve learn on xmaxx is if you upgrade your motor to a better one you have to make sure you upgrade you esc and when you upgrade those you differentials front and back and mid will fill that more power so you better be ready to replace because trust me, i experience all of that. Also i put the steel rings for my drive cuffs to.

    • @danveca8304
      @danveca8304 Pƙed 2 lety

      Shimming those diffs and locking up the center (earplugs typically) really helps that extra power not tear them to pieces. Metal housings for those 3x diffs is a good idea too. As for the drive cups, yeah, those rings are good. Vitavon makes replacement cups that are way beefy and have 4x slots so when you wear one set out you have another to use.

    Upgrade the fan on that ESC. The ESC is a bit small for that motor. Running it hot = you'll kill it eventually. You already see the stock fans just die without warning and make matters even worse.

    Here is a test, as is lift up the back of your xmaxx now push it forward and pull it backwards while your holding the rear up. Now if the rear has so much delay to spin or not spinning at all it means your center diff is going bad or stripped.

    The belt drive system does pull up on that out-drive much more so than the original geared drive version, so I can see where those missing screws would lead to that problem. Question is, do you have to now replace the entire housing? Or can you install larger diameter screws and get by?
    You've been more than fair to this belt drive system and from what I'm seeing in the comments, others have not had much luck with this system either, so maybe you're right, its time to move on to something better suited to the power you're using...
