- There are so many awesome looking roller coaster concepts that Intamin offers, but sadly, not many have been sold - yet. I share my thoughts on why this is - and should we be concerned with Intamin's future? Also, how does Falcon's Flight play a roll into all of this.

Intamin themselves actually stated that this year was one of their best ever. Also next year they have BIG things planned, like the Ultra Surf, tons of new Intamin rides in this new Nickelodeon Universe park, Drayton's new coaster, Alghzal at Meryal, Mahuka @ Walibi Rhone Alpes, the delayed Catapult Falls & Danse Macabre, some other rides probably, and of course... FAST AND FURIOUS💙💙💙 coming right here to my home state! I'm so excited for Fast and Furious and the future of Intamin!

The new Six Flags will absolutely work with Intamin. For example, SFNE could use any of these models because they don’t have a launch coaster in their lineup. SF already sent an Ultra Surf to SFOG for 2024 prior to the merger happening, so it would make sense to work with them again
I hope so but I think this is wishful enthusiast thinking. That was old six flags working with Six Flags not merger.
It's worth remembering that parks usually start planning new additions at least four to five years ahead of when the attraction is expected to open just because of how much time it takes to get all the permits and plans drawn up and submitted while also signing contracts with the ride manufacturers and all the companies needed for construction, electrical work, and so on.
S&S, for example, set up the Axis prototype I believe five or six years ago and they're just only now opening one up in the next two years. Stuff that like just takes a long time to get things going.
I'm certain Intamin's already sold several of these models or is in discussions with several parks to do so, but everything is just in the planning and permit stages for them right now.

The way Six Flags and Cedar Fair have been experimenting the last couple years and with the merger they have a large pool of potential manufacturers they could work with. I definitely think Intimin will be in the mix. And with the diverse manufacturers you could easily use cheaper manufacturing for the smaller parks and more pricey ones for the bigger parks and still get similar rides at a number of parks.
There actually was an Intamin Motion Simulator that just opened like 2 weeks ago in France called Lunexplorer
I think… if INTAMIN … to squash all those negative reliability claims would offer major theme parks a warranty that the coaster built for them would be reliable or intamin covers the maintenance cost no matter the cost. Parks might bite FASTER on those concepts they released
3:56 Dorney Park and Worlds Of Fun could have new versions of Laser and Orient Express at their respective parks but as Intamin launched loopers with top hats.

Don't get me wrong, I love Intimin, but for these sized rides, I'd rather see Vekoma dominate the market.

Cedar fair had to put up with inconsistent rides with middling capacity for a long time, but intamin delivering an unreliable and unsafe water ride poisoned the well. Intamin is the go to for record breakers, but still have to prove their new models are consistent and reliable before they can sell scores of them to anyone.
Something no one is really talking about is how Cedar Fair is technically going to be forced to work with Intamin again, Six Flags Qiddiya is making Falcons Flight.
I really hope things go well for that project so Cedar Fair will understand Intamin has changed so much over the decades & they are in a class of their own now a days.
B&M’s better more reliable can’t ride if things are always breaking
@danielsingfield8171 everyone is always worried about reliability. I'd rather have something innovative that breaks down every now & again vs a run of the mill coaster with copy & past elements that you can find at tons of other parks.

The Saudi park paid to use the Six name. It’s not really connected.
I think this all depends on how falcons flight actually goes. If it gets finished and is what it's advertised as, it will go waaaay up. But if they don't complete falcons flight, or don't meet their claims, Intamin will probably be worse off than they are now

SFOG could use a Blitz in their line-up to give them a proper launch coaster besides the Ultra Surf. It can maybe go in the Go Kart area if they wanted to place it over there with a Steampunk theme

it’s just something about intamin! i love all of layouts they announced a couple a years ago. but their coasters are just GREAT! like not even just the layout- i can’t explain it!
and the most crazy thing is i can say the same about RMC! that’s why they’re my two favorite… RMC just needs more variety in their layouts and more model but we don’t need that right now of course.

Fun thought, a lot of people seem to think Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit (which I love btw, would hate to see it go.) is either headed for a major refurb or on it's way out in the next few years. It's an Iconic coaster for Universal Orlando, what if Intamin came in and made a vertical launch coaster version of it to replace the current RRR? We already know Universal has a great working relationship with Intamin
I wish that my home park: SFGA, would get an awesome new coaster like this. Park is long overdue for a coaster. Although Im hoping for a single rail.

I believe Intamin is the maker for the dueling launched coaster going into Epic Universe … I think “StarFall Racers” is the rumored name.
It’s a Mack ride actually but the track is very similar to Intamin’s :)
It's interesting how much MACK produkts are at Epic Universe, but right next to those two MACKs there is an Intamin coaster!

I do think Falcon's Flight is eating up a lot of their efforts. Intamin is absolutely one of my top favorite manufacturers. I would love to see more of their double launch lsm models. I think they would be a good fit for the mid tier parks.

I think Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit will eventually be replaced by an Intamin Vertical Launch coaster. They would get another coaster from their preferred manufacturer and they could build it and not change their skyline.

I'm not really concerned about the future of intamin as a company at all given their strong relationship with Seaworld parks, Universal and independent parks which are buying coasters, water rides and other riders in their portfolio. in addition to the strong relationships with some of the best parks in the world Intamin has a vast portfolio catalog of coasters, water attractions and rides that provide great and reliable high quality affordable options for parks who want to work with them plus I have hope that the new merged Six Flags-Cedar Fair will have a strong relationship given the higher number of existing intamin attractions and coasters that will be in the larger park chain along with the new Intamin coaster coming to Six Flags Over Georgia which I think will be reliable when it opens which will show company HQ that Intamin is awesome and most importantly it will show that Intamin has reliable coasters and rides now.
I don't think CF (pre merger) has any Intamin's in the pipeline and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I think CF is going to go with Zamperla in the same way they backed Arrow long ago. If and it's a big IF but if Dragster 2 is a success you can start the countdown for Ka being converted and get ready Zamp fans because this is your moment. Intamin had their shot with CF and it didn't go so well. I doubt there is anything Intamin can offer that would get CF's attention. Think of it this way, Rapids, WT, Dragster (org) gone leaving only Maverick and MF.
Now the question will be what does SF have in the pipeline and does any of that change based on the merger? My thinking here is if you they have planned rides they will still be installed. Or could we see CF scrap them and turn to Zamperla and say what can you built like this?
In the Us that leaves Bush and Sea World which could install additional Intamin's. But personally, I am waiting to see if their log flumes can make it past the 3rd year? If I am Intamin I am going to pretend that I have never heard of Holiday World, sad part is I think Sea World is doing the same thing.
I doubt we are going to see anything from Intamin at KI or Carowinds. If we were, Copperhead Strike would have been built by Intamin rather than Mack.

I think the reason these haven’t sold is that intanin dies great custom coasters
Still think RMC is better than Intamin overall. When Intamin does a coaster well they do it really well (Velocicoaster, SkyRush, Toutatis, Kondaa, Expedition GeForce, Taron- to name a few I've been on), , but they have had a lot of set backs and they have some bad coasters in their portfolio. Word is their single rail is nowhere near polished enough and nowhere near the quality level of RMC. I would like to see them focused in on what they have done in Europe over the past 5-7 years. Toutatis, Knodaa, Taiga, and Gothem City Escape all appear to be home runs. I can speak on Kondaa and Toutatis. Plus Velocicoaster and Pantheon are home runs as well. They can build some other smaller coasters as they are running a business and even RMC is going down that road of getting into the smaller coasters.
Why? The Why is economics. You just had a merger of the two largest park owners. They are having trouble with hiring staff and attendance is down due to the economy. Most parks are reluctant to spend the big money on expensive coasters.
The smaller rides and coasters will be the movers.
Another factor that may be a problem. Kings Island is already looking to cut normal hours in mid August.
Kids today go back to school several weeks earlier than they used to.
The end of august attendance is down during the week. Great for us who like to ride rides but losing two to three full weeks is tragic for the parks.
The word I've heard is Intamin isn't that much more reliable nowadays. Many younger intamin coasters aren't aging very well in terms of maintenance and downtime is my understanding. FF is a great example... No company that wants to fix their reputation goes and does that (the quantity and severity of accidents they are involved with is appalling) I think Zamperla is going to deliver the "death blow" to the US market, and no better company than the one who bet on intamin time and time again, only to be burned over and over (Cedar Point)
What is FF? And what is the death blow? Universal and SeaWorld, especially Universal, still have a good working relationship with Intamin in the US. Six Flags is finally buying an Intamin again.
@@IntaminFanGRLPowerCoasters FF is Falcon's Flight. And by death blow, I mean they'll pretty much give lower bids to do more work (such as the alleged intamin proposal vs what Zamperla is doing) for any given opportunity where they can beat out intamin.
I love intamin, they've made my favorite coasters, but at the same time, I don't know how easy it is to recover lost ground when other companies are gaining on them, the US market can be this way. They will always be around putting rollercoasters in, just not like they were before. I definitely can't see them dominating. It's more likely they'll be dominated from what we see coming from other manufacturers

Intamin has two problems from my sources...
Their parts division and their customer service.
According to a couple of people i've talked to, Intamin is not an easy company to deal with. This is also somewhat alluded to by ryan the ride mechanic on his youtube channel.
Their part's division is very slow, And they're not very helpful.
I can see this as being the reason why Cedar Fair doesn't work with them.
Intamin can come up with 60 different new concepts... However that doesn't mean anyone's going to buy them.
Im still against the multi dem trains that fast and furious is gonna get, Cali doesnt need another intamin protoytpe to be down all the time like superman and xcelator. Thought we were getting velocicoaster 2.0. Looks like a intense thrill ride that i will enjoy but i think the general population will not be. 1 and done. Everyone keeps pointing to objectiv mars but that doesnt go above 50 lol. Cali keeps getting left in the dust these past few years and now with sixflags owning knotts its gg on the giga. Makes me so mad lol.
