- This video guides you throw the basics of Protoss vs Terran and tells you all the essential things you need to know .
I hope you will enjoy it despite the Terran who was not quite up to it.
I´m streaming almost every day with educational commentary! You can check it out here: / cube_sc2
More tutorials coming soon! - Hry
Could you please make a tutorial on how you organize your hotkeys and control groups? Thanks
Man, so much time without video. Is glad to see you again. Please keep doing videos, are really great.
I've always WANTED to be good at StarCraft and I appreciate all videos pertaining to it!
Thanks for this vid. Your opponent was bad but you were still able to talk the whole time while macroing at an average of 250+ apm, and showcased a really nice safe style.
thank you :)
What do you think about putting a cannon behind the mineral like at your natural or main? To spot and eventually stop incoming dropships?
You are amazing at this game!
how many minutes per action do I need to be at in order to be able to do this?
Random Q but what’s the song in the background. Heard it before but can’t remember
cool video! what is the music in background?
Thank you, that helped me.
how can I mute the chat?
Please upload more videos. Great video and great setup. Too bad your oponent was noob but it's hard to find these content online.
sure ill try
Especially for a tutorial (but in general), the apm counter should be replaced by the timer.
Wow so fast! Why do you sometimes drag over the same area a few times when nothing has changed like at the probe production early on? Are you anticipating it arriving to set on the minerals? Thanks for sharing.
Most early game spamming is about keeping your hands active and ready. You don't want to be slow in early game because you might not be fast enough when you have to fight and then macro at the same time. Basically trying to keep a high speed for the whole game.
You're pretty good.
Okay now how do I do this at like 30 apm lol
Just dont click and hit random keys lmao
What is the use of raising the actions per minute?
like warmup in every sport. when u need the speed you have it already.
yes make new tutorials again, it has been 2yrs since you made tutorials.
im kinda a noob so can some1 explain why at the start he keeps selecting the probes then the nexus ?
It makes probes produce faster!
No Im joking its just warmup. so you can keep up the speed when its needed. its a common thing among good players
do u by chance have a build order list for what u did here to make it easier on us newbs or am i going to have to create it on my own while watching this video? Also, what hotkeys are you using for base 1 base 2 and your dragoon at 4:23? What all do you hot key for protoss?
There are different ways you can hotkey your units. I use 1 for nexus and 2 for a gateway. Camera hotkeys for my bases (F1, F2 etc) Then 3 and so on for army. Hotkeying shuttles is also useful.. I can't give u the exact build order right now as this was some time ago and I don't know it from the top of my head :D
@@StarCraftNoobTrainer TYSM i didnt expect a reply since this was posted so long ago!! THIS helps A LOT!!! Would you be able to help me learn starcraft more? or any resources that you could point me to that would help? or any videos that you would like to make more for me :D or others like me who are looking to start starcraft in 2022 - 2023? I see your last video was made a couple years back. WHEN i hotkey for nexus i use ctrl +1 to do that, do i just do ctrl + f1 and f2 then to do that? Do you hotkey multiple gateways or just 1? Are shuttles useful would you say for protoss? And how does one get like you? I see you have good awareness and can flip back and forth extremely quickly.
@@LittleBoyOfHope I basically started the game when I was 8 and was playing a lot since. Became professional in SC2 for 2 years but quit the game a few years ago.
Spamming your hotkeys in the early game like I do in the video helps muscle memory and ull become faster and react quickly when it counts.
Basically macroing (building stuff) is the most important part of the game as you can micro (control stuff) as much as you want but it won't matter if you haven't built enough units. If you're a beginner just play around gateway units (zealots, dragoon, archons and high templars if u manage to control them) and try to keep your money low while continuously building probes. Build way more gateways as you might think you need as your minerals and gas will be worthless when they're just in your bank. In SC1 you can't hotkey more than one building so just hotkey 1 gateway and spam production out of all of them (optimally just 1 unit/gateway at a time). Its important that your gateways are all in the same place so you can produce quickly. Keep observers in your army so you don't get surprised by invisible units and build cannons at your bases in the mid and lategame for the same reason (also versus harrass attacks)
Using shuttles for dark templar drops or high templar drops (storm mineral lines) is a very nice tactic. With a lot of money and quite a few bases you can think of going arbiter or carrier for the lategame.
You hotkey camera hotkeys with ctrl + F2 (I'm not sure about the hotkeys in SC1, you might need to check the hotkey options.) Camera hotkey your bases so you can keep building probes. Also spam camera hotkeys in the early game so your fingers get used to it. Might feel strange at the beginning but it definitely pays off when you can eventually use them effectively.
I'm not planning on creating more SC content but the channel "CombatEX" on youtube has helped me a lot back then. He put out tons of his games with detailled commentary, just go on his channel and watch the 14 year old videos, they are still relevant as there haven't been any balance patches.
Good luck on your journey :)
just listened to my own tutorial and apparently you need to hold shift instead of ctrl to camera hotkey xD
@@StarCraftNoobTrainer i just learned that through reading through the tips when the game starts super helpful THANKS :)
Noticed at the end that you were floating cash with a full army and didn't upgrade your units ;)
Ok one attack upgrade
solid play! feels like i've learnt a lot!
protoss' micro's way more complex than that of a night elf :D
thanx!
Is Protoss the hardest race?
nope, probably the easiest.
why r u klicking a hundred time this drives me crazy. Is there any advantage by doing so?
Every faster player does that as kind of a warmup so you'll keep the speed when it counts. It's also very helpful if you are working on using new hotkeys like camera hotkeys. Spamming them in the early game will help your muscle memory and you'll click precisely when you need them.
The apm at the beginning was unnecessary. Jus too much clicking to wait on one probe😂
it's to set your mindset for mid and late game that you should mantain the same amount of activity during the game. Think of it like a warm up.
@@GolemFusion That makes sense
20 minutes and he didn’t teach go to attack hahaha
when's the next youtube video?
Probably when Stormgate comes out xD
Good luck have fun? i dont think so homie, SC is one of the most stressful games.
i dont understand one thing: what are players like him clicking so much for all the time? And why?
Most early game spamming is about keeping your hands active and ready. You don't want to be slow in early game because you might not be fast enough when you have to fight and then macro at the same time. Basically trying to keep a high speed for the whole game. You won't find any professional player who doesn't do that.
@@StarCraftNoobTrainer I see. Alright.
"Clack, clack, clack"
Do you still play StarCraft
Doing some AoE 2 currently. Casting SC2 nations league currently... But SC1 not really at the moment :) Looking forward to Stormgate though... I'll make some tutorials for that game for sure, hopefully its great.
Great to see you doin well. Hope to see those 👍
Should of just played comp. Lol
vs korea---> R.I.P.
too weak terran. Usually good terran buils fast tanks & vulures with mines and blocks protoss 1st or 1st+2nd base and destroys any other bases using vultures. In this video terran gives protoss a chance to develop arbiters (giving a chance to protoss to develop is usually fail in TVP). The most difficult PVT for me is PVT where terran blocks me with fast tanks + vultutes. I lose 9 of 10 these matches, and actually I dont know how to counter this kind of active terran. In case of passive terran like terran in this video I usually build 12-24 carriers and arbiter with statis field to counter goliaphs, using 4+ bases, it works too
But I've seen one more kind of passive terran: he builds 3+ bases, he doesn't attack, but he builds 12 graded battlecruisers and attacks my main. Is you missed this build, nobody can't help you, even dragoons and carriers... Otherwise (If you know about terran's plan) you can counter him with mind control or mass psionic or statis field. But this is pretty rare kind of terran
oida cube du nudlaug spü lieba gscheit sc2 bevorst an auf coach mochst xD

Bad Bad
Opponent terran is just awful. Bad build and timing, letting protoss take center and 3rd so easy, no harassment. Also why even build goliath when protoss didnt transition to carrier? Thats suicide.
For proper guide, you should play against koreans on fish server.
If you had watched the video with audio you wouldve heard me apologize multiple times for the bad opponent aaaand that this tutorial is for giving new players a general idea about a save pvt build and not for aspiring progamers who wanna compete in the ASL :)
terran low
That guy is worse than a comp lol
Reported for rape :v
