Eloi, do you know if the Arnold Point rendering bug with Standard Volume will ever be fixed?
Now, when rendering Bifrost foam using Standard Volume shader, everything remains black, no matter what settings you apply.
This only worked in the version of 3ds Max when Bifrost was just being implemented. In all subsequent versions, this feature is broken.
I didnt even kcnbow about the bug! Report it on arnold section.
What do you think guys? As a freelance artist Maya + Houdini or Max + tyFlow + Phoenix FD?
This is the million dollar question. Straight to the industrial standards or is that an overkill for a one man studio? I want to be a generalist but I really interested in VFX and Game art. I really like max interface.
Max + tyFlow + Phoenix FD should give you bang for the buck. Also, believe me. Moving data around different DCC is a lot of work and time and prone to error.
@@changsooeun Thank you for the answer. I think as a generalist I will mostly get Ads, Music video, product rendering/animation and Motion graphic jobs and not high-end character animations or Hollywood vfx. So I think the same. Do you have experience in that? What is a typical gig? Thank you
@@milliodollar4900 For typical motiongraphics setups, you can do everything in houdini or max+tyflow for sure. Being tyflow 10X easier/faster to setup. I will only go the houdini route, if you plan to do very complex procedural things.
@@andvfx Thank you for the experienced answer. Maybe Houdini is a bit stick and carrot for freelancers without dedication/specialisation but I don't have experience with it so I can't say the truth.
@@milliodollar4900 Most people who do what you want to do take the Cinema 4D route. Tyflow is amazing but still very new even in beta version. It won't be surprising if major things happen to it for better or for worse meaning still not very stable or stablished method. It could stop being supported/updated in a year for all we know (just being realistic). Cinema 4D has shown to be very specialized in that area. I think you should at least look into it. I'm not a Cinema 4D user myself.
About 3ds max indie: any news if there will also be a monthly subscription not just that for 1 year?

Eloi Andaluz Fullà just one question about KeyHydra: it is totally free or is a one year try? Because on the link that you reported it says : KeyHydra DRM FREE / 1 Year
KeyHydra V1 is free for Max 20, 21 and 2022 ! There is 0 DRM inside. However we added a legal one year limitation in case our KeyHydraV2 sales don’t go well. If V2 sells well we will recompile V1 for 3DSMAX 2023 still for free. But if KeyHydra V2 doesn’t sell anymore because of the V1 free version. Than we will not provide a free version anymore for upcoming version of max.

Hello, we now provide KeyHydra inside a zip file . In order to avoid those Windows Defender false positive warning. KeyHydra is virus free. But the installer isn’t signed or widely downloaded so Microsoft warn people.

@@dasnico13 When did you installed it last time ? Was it on same machine ? Same Max version ? We didn’t updated the archive. So should be a local issue

Downloading Keyhydra FREE my Win10 Build-In Virus Scanner flaggs ot as Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml .... anyone else??
To me sends me a warning of potential malware. But this is because they upload a new version 1 day ago, and takes time, for more people to download until windows consider it as “safe”, but the file its good, just ignore the message.
